Custom framing of art, or any objects such as sports memorabilia and jerseys, historic artifacts, or family heirlooms, we also specialize in Giclee art printing, photographic restoration, and Photoshop work. We have fully equipped cs5 Photoshop computers for use by the public. We have the ability to print on canvas or specialized photographic giclee papers up to 64″ wide. Customize public domain art and or your own personal images and print them for the exact right fit for that special space. We also design and create artwork for corporate lobbies using company logos and relevant branded images to make your lobby pop!

History

Established in 1987.

We are a third generation family owned and run business with the slogan «You’re Going To Love It!» because our customers so often say «I Love It!» when they see their finished work for the first time. Tom and Mary Colbert opened the business in 1987 and the family tradition of creative friendly customer focused service has continued to the present day. The second generation of Kevin and Sue work together with Stephanie their daughter (and Tom and Mary’s oldest grandchild).

The business has won numerous awards including the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year, The Suburban Business Ledger AABE award for excellence in retail, Décor Magazine’s Top 100 Framers award, and we were also named one of the top 4 Family Businesses in the state by Illinois Family Business of the Year Awards of Loyola University.

Business Owner

Kevin Colbert is the owner of Colbert Custom Framing & Art Printing, suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Kevin received a B.S. in marketing from Northern Illinois University. He has been the recipient of the Naperville Area Chamber Of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, the AABE Award for Retail from the Suburban Business Ledger, and Colbert Custom Framing was named one of the four top family businesses in the State of Illinois by Loyola University.

Kevin has developed and implemented state of the art process management software and other technological improvements for the framing industry and has traveled coast to coast to speak and consult within the industry. In 2011, Kevin and his son Micah, designed, and completed the general contracting and construction work to open the families new state-​of-​the-​art framing and art printing facility in Naperville Illinois.
