My appointment was at 11:30 but they told me to come in at 11:00 which is when I arrived. However, the doctor did not actually see me until 12:15. That was a lot of waiting time! While waiting, I looked up the doctors reviews on Unilocal and read that 2 people said she spent a whole hour with them on their first visit. Now I understood why I was waiting so long. She spent 50 minutes with me. The exam itself was like 5 min but she spent the other 45 asking and documenting my medical history. I am guessing it will be shorter the next time since she has all of my info now but I hope I don’t have to wait that long next time! She was very nice. Edit– my rating has gone down now: I just went to get my blood drawn the next day and I asked the lab about the tetanus shot. They said they don’t do those and the doctor should have given it. Now I am back waiting at the doctor’s office to get my shot. This is very frustrating. I already spent 2 hours here yesterday, this is the last thing I want to do on New Year’s Eve with my time off! After 30 minutes of waiting, the nurse gave me the shot. It was quick and painless. However, the next day I woke up with excruciating pain in my arm. It lasted 3 days. Also, the next day, on New Years Day, I felt extremely exhausted and had a fever over 100, and was just miserable. I googled my symptoms and found out the sore arm and fever are common side effects of the tetanus shot. The doctor first forgot to give me the shot, making me have to take additional time to come in and get the shot, and then didn’t warn me that the side effects include a painful arm and fever.

Dr. Brown is one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. She incorporates nutrition, supplements and lifestyle as part of your overall health and wellness. She spent over an hour with me and my first two visits and together we developed a personalized health plan. She also specializes in natural hormone therapy. There are not many doctors who utilize this form of natural therapy. I feel very lucky to have found her.

Truly a caring doctor! My first appointment with Dr. Brown was about 1 hour long and she went over EVERYTHING. Besides the usual blood pressure and weight, she talked about my lifestyle, vitamins I took, how I felt, etc. She really made me believe she wanted me to feel good and didn’t care if there were patients waiting! Now I just went back to her because I was sick and I got an appointment when I called at 9 am, but I had to wait 45 minutes. I knew I would have to wait, but 45 minutes with a 3 year old is pretty painful. We brought lots of toys with us, but even with those, he was getting pretty antsy. I would have appreciated a heads up that I would have to wait awhile. We could have hung out with a movie in the DVD player and that would have worked better. But even after that waiting, she still talked to me in a non-rushed fashion and she worked on figuring out why/how I was sick since I’m normally pretty healthy. Dr. Brown also will do a thorough workup on you to determine if you are getting the proper vitamins and minerals as well as your hormonal status. I know most of you Unilocalers are in your 20s, but your body is changing every day!
