AMLI at Naperville

Such a great place to live! The management team is super nice and helpful. We have been living here for 1 month and we love it. The apartment is clean and spacious. The basketball court is an awesome perk, with a nice workout room. Can’t wait for the pool this summer

The leasing consultant that I had, Sanju West, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She and the rest of the AMLI of Naperville staff were more than understanding when I had to push back the move-​in date due to complications at work. They never added any extra charges and always accommodated my needs. The apartment itself is great! I leased a 1 bedroom/​1 bath and it fits perfectly to my needs. I am more than satisfied with the service I have received thus far.

Amli, don’t reach out to me. Your service guys are top notch and I do feel bad about having to add them in this mix. Almost every service guy was amazing. Your issue is in your back room. My breaking point was the bs eviction notice you slapped on my door when I have always been a paying, good, quiet, keep to myself renter. After the eviction notice, my son came in to see you. He was upset that I was in tears over this as is it clearly not my nature (as you know) to miss anything. My son asked that you redirect emails to him (as my span filter doesn’t send yours to me). You AGREED to change it. But what happened? NO change. Sadly the lack of service not a shocker.
FYI. You owe this poor company the money they spent having to send me a second package as it sat in your back room for months. And you just kept telling me it wasn’t there. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. I am in a service industry and pleasing the masses are hard work. I just wanted decent. Not perfection.

I have lived at AMLI for about 7 months now and it’s just alright. I pay about $ 1200/​month for a 1 bedroom. I don’t have an upgraded model (upgrade only applies to the kitchen) so a little bummed I needed to go out and buy a microwave.
Utilities such as AC, water heater when run are so loud! You also can hear everything your upstairs neighbor does, every step!
The gym is terrible! It’s a scene from the 1980’s & doesn’t have much to offer at all.
The basketball court and pool area are great. They could use a few more grills as people are usually using them or there is always one that is broke.
I have needed to contact maintenance for a few issues and they get back to you within 3 days or so. They are forgetful so a lot of follow up is needed which is annoying.
I wish the office had one day of later hours for people that work a 9 — 5 job. Office hours are 10am — 6pm during the week which makes it impossible for one working to pick up packages, etc. during this time.
The location is just terrible, Ogden and Rickert gets really backed up. I didn’t think this would be an issue when I moved in but I regret my decision, it’s just in an awful location during rush hour.
The apartment is nice, a little outdated (again, I don’t have an upgraded model). The kitchen is a decent size along with the family room. The bathroom and walk in closet are huge!!!
It’s alright for now but I’m thinking of looking once my lease is up in February.

My husband and I moved into AMLI when we were first married and lived there for 20 months, until we purchased our home. During that time we didn’t have any huge complaints. The maintenance staff was fairly prompt, the office staff was always pleasant and the grounds were in decent shape. Having both lived in many apartments, we had certainly seen worse.
At move out I scheduled their walk through twice, only to have NO ONE show up either time. We paid an additional $ 85 to them so they would clean the apartment, but then we cleaned it anyway. Really the only thing that needed done at that point was to have the stairs (we lived on 2^nd floor) steam cleaned. We went and paid our final bill only to have a ridiculous bill arrive over a month after we moved out.
They had the nerve to send us a bill for over $ 600 and to take our our $ 300 security deposit because they needed to replace the carpet? What? Our carpet was 100% fine and in no way needs replaced. My son sever spilt anything on the carpet, our dog never had an accident — nothing, just normal wear and tear form us walking on it.
The letter gives us 14 days to dispute this, which we plan to do with our attorney. After reading many reviews online this afternoon I plan for this to go no where however. My best advice to you is to NOT rent from AMLI.

We’ve lived here for just over a year and don’t have many complaints. I’ll admit we got very lucky with the location of our apartment (a corner unit with pretty good neighbors and a grassy area outside for the kids), but I honestly enjoy living here. When we were preparing to transfer to the Chicago area for my husband’s job, we looked at close to a dozen apartment communities and we just recently looked again when it was time to decide if we were going to renew our lease – there is nothing better in the area. We felt 100% comfortable signing on for another 13 months. The rent is a little steep, but the neighborhood is safe and the apartment is very nice inside (although the kitchen could use some upgrades). The maintenance guys are on top of things, the landscaping is pretty, it’s close to a great elementary school, and it’s conveniently located. There are community events and parties at the club house about once a month and we’ve never really had a problem with the staff. We have had one or two unpleasant trips to the pool on weekend evenings when there are people having parties, so we tend to go during office hours, but I can’t think of too many other things we’ve had problems with. AMLI is definitely a place I would recommend.
