I have been a customer of Valley Internet for about 3 years now. At first, their service was great, faster than the satellite ISPs that I had used before, although not nearly as good as MCHSI, but cable internet is not available where I live now. About a year ago, their service became very unreliable, as they were plagued with hardware failures, especially when the first storms of the winter season would hit us, and also due to hardware upgrades that didn’t go as they had planned. So, now I am looking for a more reliable service.

I have to say right off the bat, this rating is for the customer service, as I am a new customer and haven’t really had a chance to «feel out» the service.
I bought a house in a rural area that has previously had valley service. Both Jennifer and Ben were exceptional in their assistance-​Ben even suggested a new router for the type of things I’d be doing online. He helped me set it all up with a phone call, and was extremely patient, as I’m kind of a caveman with technology at times.
Over the past few days, I’ve been streaming since I got the service and so far, so good. Keep up the good work, guys!

Have been a customer just about as long as Ofer has been in the business. Excellent performance, responsiveve service. Also have a similar service at our house in Hawaii, Valley Internet far superior. HD streaming flawless.

Before we were connected to Valley Internet, we were limited to broadband, such as it was, through one of the satellite services. Since we have had a connection through Valley Internet, a whole new world of broadband service and video streaming has been opened. We live in a very rural area of North Central Napa County, where nothing but dial-​up or satellite is available for Internet connections. Although their Internet service is fairly expensive compared with cable or DSL, and speeds are somewhat limited, given the limitations of providing broadband in rural areas, this organization does a great job, with quick and responsive customer service. Also, given the fragility of the infrastructure, which consists of solar and wind powered transmitters on various rural hilltops, the service is quite dependable.

Where we live there are really very few options for internet. There is no cable or fiber optic up here. Considering that, Valley Internet does the best it can to serve us, and I appreciate that. The owner has been very conscientious and helpful and the company has been up here «tweaking» things on many occasions. So, I have to give them a break and upgrade my comments. It may not be the best internet service, but they do the best they can to serve us, and they are a company that does care about their customers. In this day and age, that’s a lot.

The employees can use some training in customer service but the owner of Valley Internet is really friendly and willing to help. He himself redeemed Valley Internet for me.
I do wish there was more speed available at Capell Valley Estates though.

too bad there isn’t a NO STAR option. we started off at the 54.00. plan. couldn’t stream anything so we, like suckers, paid for the 99.00 plan. same sh*t different day. biggest rip off i’ve ever seen to tell me i have to pay more and STILL can’t stream netflix. and the loss of internet is intermittent, daily. just as i am sending a document, i lose connection for 30 seconds. oh! wait… it just happened again. i just lost my internet connected to my TV, AGAIN. right during the middle of a recording. yipeeee. and then they answer our complaints by bringing up verizon, comcast, etc. SHUT UP. seriously, stop comparing other companies to your crappy service! i’m looking into satellite now or just moving. i can’t run a business with this mess. and the thing is, they never gave me my own new antennae… just the same one that was here when i bought the house. lord knows how old it is. i have had NOTHING but excuses. and threats of charging me to come out. really? cos you haven’t yet and it still doesn’t work. oh then there was the excuse that my neighbours had bad settings that were affecting me. really? REALLY? puhlease.
i can’t deal with this. i have to find some alternative. it is most definitely the WORST internet service i’ve ever had and customer service is non existent. i know more than half the techs. and that’s sad!

A little over a year ago, we made the decision to switch our Internet and phone provider to Valley Internet. As a company that’s been operating for over 40 years, this was not an easy decision for us to make. After a decade with T1 lines from the phone company, 1Mbps wasn’t meeting our bandwidth needs. Not to mention the cost of phone lines (especially ‘long distance’ calls) combined with our monthly data fee.
Today, with Valley Internet, we’re getting 10+ times the speed, unlimited calling, a modern VoIP phone system, ‘enterprise’ WiFi that covers our entire facility, and remote access to our network. The best part — we’re spending $ 10,000 less per year than if we’d kept our contract with the phone company. In addition to the savings, it’s refreshing to work with a local company with employees from our community — their technical support is not an overseas call center and their service guys are not low-​bidder third party contractors.
As a small business owner, I cannot praise Valley Internet enough. They are a truly unique operation and see the value in providing quality customer service. Even at times when we’ve had trouble with our service, our complaints were taken seriously and Valley Internet did not rest until finding permanent solutions. It is very disappointing to see that other customers have chosen to leave disparaging reviews on Unilocal,rather than working to find solutions with Valley Internet as we have.
Thank you Valley Internet for enabling us to run a 21^st century business without sacrificing our rural roots! Please don’t hesitate to use us as a reference for anyone considering your services.

Been using Valley Internet since 2004. Could not be happier with the service and speeds. I don’t think I could live in rural Napa if we didn’t have high speed Internet, and Satellite is too slow, and LTE is too expensive.

Valley Internet is horrifically oversubscribed. We have had their fixed wireless internet service at our home in rural Napa county for over 2 years. We are supposed to be getting a minimum of 500 kilobits per second at all times, with limited bursts of up to 3 megabits per second, but instead we experience continual dropouts where our bandwidth goes to zero and stays there for seconds or minutes at a time. My wife’s brother and sister live in separate houses nearby, in our small community high in the Napa mountains, and both of them experience the same terrible service from Valley Internet. We use VOIP telephones exclusively, and over the last 2 years the quality of our VOIP phone calls has deteriorated to the point where all of us have been forced to order landline telephone service from ATT. In an effort to improve the quality of our VOIP calls, we switched from the industry-​standard G711 codec, which requires 87.2 kilobits per second of bandwidth, to the lowest-​quality G729 codec, which requires a mere 31.2 Kbps. Now, 31.2K is less than dialup, mind you. But it made no difference. The VOIP dropouts and 2– to 3-​second latency continued unabated, because Valley Internet’s erratic service cannot compete even with dialup. During our 2+ years with Valley Internet, I have repeatedly asked them to give us the minimum 500 Kbps we are supposed to be getting. They did nothing until I threatened to cancel their service, at which point they assigned a technician to work with me. The technician temporarily boosted my priority on the network, which simply means he gave me more bandwidth by reducing the bandwidth available to other subscribers on my network node. But after a month or two, the improvement disappeared and the same old dropouts and latency returned, worse than ever. Valley Internet is hopelessly oversubscribed. I am looking for an alternative.
