Studio G School of Music and Theatre Arts

I love Studio G. I just started taking voice lessons there and am very happy with my amazing teacher Mikki Boyd. I got my assessment from Genevieve and she was also amazing. The energy and passion everyone there shows for music and theater is so inspiring. I recently enrolled my 4 year old grandson in Frozen camp, not sure he would make it through the long day and he absolutely LOVES it. He is very excited and though normally very shy and soft spoken, the enthusiasm and encouragement of Miss G and all the staff has really helped him to enjoy this adventure. Great experience for him to have such talented and sweet direction!

I don’t know what’s up with the people that wrote unfavorable comments about Studio G because this place is AMAZING! It is so refreshing to find a place where kids can truly express themselves. I believe the arts are vital for a child and I think the owner, Genavieve, has an innate gift with children and music. Do yourself and your kids a favor and go to Studio G!!!

Overwhelming!
That is the only way to describe their performance. Every young actor, every young actress gave solid performances, stayed in character and genuinely loved being on stage.
You could see it on their faces, in their smiles, and through the confidence beaming from each of them as they performed. I have been coaching this age group of children all of my life and never have I seen such a high level of talent across the board.
Any team that displays this level of talent throughout its entire cast has always had one thing in common — a passionate, talented, incredible teacher standing behind them helping them to be all they can be. A teacher who expresses confidence in every student and brings out the best in them all.
Bravo Miss G! I am impressed.

I was in Napa by the river on the day of Studio G’s recital. What a great show! The owner, Genevieve, did a great job with the little kids and had such great energy (despite the 95 degree heat). The venue was great for all that wanted to watch & I was extremely impressed with the talent and song selections for the performers!

Be very careful when selecting Studio G for your child. The owner has a reputation for taking your money and no refunds. Ask around to people in the valley for recommendations before you sign any contract with Studio G. The classes are very expensive and the last performance was held in a garage! Very unprofessional and so unfair to the kids who work so hard! I can guarantee when you start asking friends/​colleagues you will get an unfavorable response about Studio G.

I was surprised to read the negative review by Abe L and can say with absolute certainty this was not my experience at all.
The instructors at Studio G are very well trained and apply those efforts 100% towards the kids in their care. I attended all of the performances recently put on, and they were stellar. My understanding was there turned out to be a bit of an issue securing a staged venue when 2 locations had fallen through at the last minute. The team looked from American Canyon to St. Helena trying to find a place suitable and when it just didn’t happen, they managed to transform the school inside of a week to host the show. This in and of itself was an impressive feat and a testament to their dedication to the kids.
Kudos to the Studio G team and thank you for the experience and passion you bring to Napa!

It tricky in the suburbs to get access to excellent music, acting and performance opportunities, especially for younger school-​aged children, and we are so lucky to have Studio G in Napa! Miss G has really blazed a trail for our kids, and created fun & educational classes, camps, concerts and productions, all of which didn’t exist previously. My daughter participates in the Glee offering, and has had the chance to perform at Silo’s in Napa (so fun!), as well as in productions of Alice in Wonderland and now Wizard of Oz, here in town! Our public middle school does not have the funding to put on a musical theatre production, so without Studio G, many would be waiting until high school to have this experience. There is a broad range of offerings at Studio G from instrument & voice lessons, to manners, acting and musical theatre productions. The instructors are friendly, supportive and full of passion for their craft. My daughter loves the time she spends at Studio G!

The outgoing and friendly nature of the teachers at Studio G make it a pleasure to bring my five year old in for her acting class. My daughter loves attending her weekly class. I really feel like she feels like she is a part of something special at Studio G, and I am excited to sign her up for more exciting classes that they offer!
