I am surprised there are not more reviews about the TERRIBLE customer service here. Each time I go in my experience is less pleasant than the last. The women who work there are simply rude. Also I have waited in line before while one of the employees(who also works the register) stood casually emptying oatmeal packages. Today there was a new(I think) barista and she was totally unprofessional, snapping at me and slamming my drink down when I reached for it. I would love to contact the manager there… but I figured I would start here. In the meantime, I find myself going out of my way to avoid this Starbucks! I give it a NEGATIVE5.

Get it together, Starbucks! This morning we went for morning coffee and were first greeted by 1 — homeless guy camped out in front 2 — homeless guy passed out in chair inside with no purchase in sight and 3 — homeless woman at table with her entire shopping cart of belongings mumbling to herself and coughing up a lung. Been coming here for awhile, but that was the last straw! Since expanding to wine, the manager is nowhere to be found in the morning and the homeless situation is once again getting out of control. I have personally witnessed two arrests of vagrants in front of the store in the last month. Another one, who frequented the store daily and harassed women, was arrested a SECOND time in months for threatening someone on the street! No one wants to deal with that in the morning, especially tourists!

Been going here for a little while off and on when I really want a coffee. Today tho I needed to use the restroom but purchased my coffee first. Well lets just say their upkeep on their restrooms not great. Hand towels every where behind the door near the sink. Come on guys bring that A-game. felt like I was using restroom in a Mickey D’s!

Pros: Lots of seating and hip décor When I asked for the non-dairy options the barista was courteous This location serves wine and food in the evening Cons: –Be aware ladies that the restroom door handle needs to be pushed up rather than down to open. I thought the door was locked until I decided to see what would happen if I pushed up. –Management has decided that coffee cup sleeves are only available upon request, which in my mind is ridiculous since the cups are so hot how else would one hold it? Their justification is cost cutting. This makes no sense to me as Starbucks has recently increased their prices… seems like they’re making more than enough money.

Great Starbucks on first and Main Street. We happened to come by this Starbucks during their launch of the evening menu which includes wine and small bites. I ordered a wine as well as coffee with my boyfriend and sat down at the communal table. The coffee taste better than most other Starbucks I’ve been(doesn’t have that burnt coffee taste). The manager came over and gave us a complimentary cheese plate. Super kind! The baristas were extremely friendly too!

Finally visited a Starbucks that will warm up their pasties. Too bad I had to go across the country for it to happen. Normally, no Starbucks that I have visited since 1996 has the ability to heat a pastry. So, they sell the pastries cold. To me, a cold pastry is an unappealing pastry. So, imagine my surprise when the employee at this Starbucks in downtown Napa told me she COULD warm my pastry. I was in a little heaven because I do not buy the pastry unless it can be warmed. So, this 4 stars is only because they offered pastries that could be warmed. Their coffee prices are way too expensive.

This location needs MOREEMPLOYEES!!! For a busy downtown tourist location, this Starbucks needs to up their game! The Creamer, sugar… etc. bar was dirty as were the counters/tables. The cookie we purchased was severely stale and disappointing. Love my Starbucks… wished I loved this location!

This is one of the best Starbucks I go to. great people great atmosphere I choose to buy my coffee here, However I will know longer buy from Starbucks period. They want your money but refuse to give free water to anybody unless you purchase something??? Really??? New Rules apparently to keep the homeless out. So when did you guys start discriminating and segregating??? Water to drink with is FREE!!! It’s like air its to keep people alive! It’s a necessity. You guys preach about doing the right thing and helping the community but at the expense of their pocketbook and or life!!! It’s 100 + degrees outside. Really??? I purchased so much from you guys and to refuse me free water??? I understand the cup thing because it costs, but when you bring your own cup and are refused water because you say it’s to keep the homeless out and there’s a water shortage??? How about this why not quit making your products your wasting a lot of water making coffee and washing the pitchers and canisters out every 40 seconds. Put others first before your bottom line, the homeless included. Who knows you might be homeless and thirsty one day!!! God bless and Thank you

I’m just coming in here for the first time — Sunday night at 9:45 wanting a coffee after bottlerock. My boyfriend orders a sandwich and asks them to heat it up — then the blonde girl behind the counter yells HEYHEATTHISUP! Then threw it across the room, it hits the ceiling, then the floor. She then laughs with her coworker who were going to NOT give him another one if we didn’t ask! As a hospitality professional, this is disgusting and immature. Grow up. You have one job. Don’t fucking throw food.

This is a follow up note to my 3⁄22 comments. Hat’s off to Starbucks and the new manager as they have«cleansed» themselves of the homeless invasion. Apparently they have put new rules in place and are getting more persistent at not allowing them to stay all morning. Kudos to Starbucks management their employees for addressing this issue and taking action!

I am a collector of Starbucks mugs from various cities I visit. Was excited to add Napa to my collection. I couldn’t find it and asked the manager for help. Turns out THEREISNO Napa Starbucks mug! I placed my order and when it came so did my new Napa mug! What a great team they were. Enjoyed myself and my visit to Napa! If your in the area stop by and say Hi! (And if any Management from Starbucks is reading — You Need A Napa Mug!!)

For a slow night this place was in need of a quick sweep. We came in at 830 pm and they close at 11, but had run out of coffee saying they could make an Americano instead. Wtf? At least the cheesecake brownie was bomb.

One of the most poorly managed stores I have visited. The place is overrun with homeless people. As I sit in one of the four leather chairs by the front door the three other chairs are occupied by 3 homeless, one ordered a grande water, the other filled a cup he brought in with cream from the condiment bar, the third dug a cup out of the trash can as he walked in and pretended that was his purchase. In the 20 minutes I have sat here more than six well dressed professionals have walked in looked at the folks sitting around me and walked out without making a purchase. It almost makes you wonder if the Napa Valley Coffee Roasting across the street pays these homeless to come over and disrupt Starbucks business, then again probably just dismal restaurant management.

The service here was not that friendly — maybe because we were visitors and not regulars? At least the product is consistent so no disappointment there.

The downtown Napa Starbucks is now quiet on Sunday mornings, mainly because of the quake. It’s a short walk from the cracked historic courthouse, First Presbyterian Church with its shattered stained glass windows, and several red-tagged buildings. Even prior to the quake, it was in the center of construction. The service is friendly– and it’s a breeze. The coffee is nice and hot, as are their bagels. One can peruse the papers. Usually, Sunday mornings at(any) Starbucks are chaotic. Not anymore. Places like Grace’s World Table and Jax White Diner are getting business. After the quake, people are still quite rattled.

Great service and delicious drink and food! The baristas were really nice and chatted us up. The store is gorgeous with a very unique chandelier! It’s hard to find breakfast in Napa and at least you know it’s always good at a Starbucks.

Great service, and good atmosphere. The baristas here are friendly and speedy. A person in my group spilled their coffee and the barista was kind enough to top off his coffee free of charge. I’d definitely visit this spot again.
