What a friggen waste of money and time getting here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE… ANYWHERE!

Valentines weekend-​we stayed one night (Feb 14^th)
We live in Sacramento and decided to try somewhere new for our stay in the Napa area;

Pros:
Very nice walk-​in shower in room.
Lovely view of golf course from outdoor patio lounge/​bar area in Main Building.
Cons:
We arrived early, and even though we could not check in yet (we asked, but room was not ready) our plan was to rent bikes and enjoy the beautiful weather. When we asked the front desk about bike rentals, she told us we would need to make those arrangements with the concierge. We went over to the concierge’s desk and inquired about bike rentals. She informed us that they didn’t actually «have bikes» there at the resort. They would have to call a bike rental company to reserve them and it was recommend that we give 24hrs notice in advance. She was on the phone with someone else at the time, but handed us a brochure of a local bike company located in downtown Napa. The resort website states that bike rentals are available. It does say seasonal, but it is February in California after all, and the weather was beautiful. We noticed people around the resort playing tennis, golfing and swimming, so why not biking? Getting back in the car to drive back into town to rent a bike was not what we had planned.
The room we were assigned was located on the «other side» of the golf course. We had to drive back out of the complex in order to get there. Hiking with our luggage all the way across the golf course was not really an option.
In addition, the pool located in the area where we were staying was closed. They did not tell us this, we discovered it when we walked over to it. Getting back in our car to drive to one of the other pools in the other direction, then back in the car to return, was not something we wanted to do or planned to do.
Having to get back in our car to go to the lounge or restaurant was also not what we had planned to do either, but we really had no choice. As stated in my «pros» the outside patio of the lounge/​bar area had a nice view overlooking the golf course, however they were understaffed. Unfortunately everyone had to wait quite a while to order and receive a drink. The waiter did the best he could, however one would have thought that a resort this size would have planned for extra staff on valentines day and eve.
Back at our room that night, we heard people outside talking and visiting late into the night and early morning. We had our sliding door closed, but they sounded like they were right outside the door.
All and all, I was so very disappointed in our stay at The Silverado Resort. Their website makes it look so wonderful and I was expecting an exceptional experience, or at least a better then average experience. This was not the case. I would not feel comfortable recommending this resort for your stay in the Napa area.

We stayed here for a Valentine’s Day getaway. The grounds are gorgeous, great customer service at check-​in. Problem was upon arrival to our room. When you pay to stay at a place this nice you expect that your room will be above average. Room was really small but that wasn’t the main issue. Problem was with the bathroom, there was a hole in the middle of the shower where the drain should have been and it looked like whoever cleaned the shower didn’t do a great job. Very disappointing but we didn’t let that ruin our trip and still had a great time.

Such a nice, relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Here for a conference and treated so well. The food is super impressive and the bartender, Ed, could not be kinder and more helpful. He told us about where to go see the sunset, some good running trails, gave us all his wine expertise and the best Moscow mules and gin and tonics. Ed’s a great guy that made for such a great experience!

The room we received looked newly renovated and very modern! We arrive Saturday afternoon and check in was a breeze. Once you receive your keys, someone takes you in a golf cart to your room.
We were very pleasantly surprised. The room had a fireplace, a patio with a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a kitchenette complete with plates, utensils, pots, and pans. You could definitely enjoy a long vacation here and have everything you need to feel at home.
Everything looked new and the bed was so comfortable. I regretted only getting to spend one night here.
We got to light the fireplace before bed and it really took the chill out of the air. Only downside is smelling like smoke the next morning.
Would definitely stay here again next time we need a weekend away!

Power went out twice yesterday. Couldn’t get through to the front desk. We where cooking dinner so all the food went bad had to go spend $ 300 for dinner. This morning wake up to no toilet paper call 30 minutes ago still no toilet paper.

This is a VERY large property tucked away in a residential neighborhood of Napa.
Pros:
1) Lots of parking and rooms (they are actually timeshares people own) are awesome. Rooms are available on first floor or second floor, but all have a patio or balcony. *Imagine living in a apartment complex with a large fountain in the middle that everyone can see from their rooms. We had a kitchen-​ette type of room stocked with utensil, duraflame log, TV and and an umbrella to get around on rainy days. Lovely setting for a wedding or evening reception.
2) Close to Oxbow Market and downtown Napa.
Cons:
1) The pool area is small and the restaurant where you have breakfast has at best «ok» service. On a warm sunny day; i’m sure the view of the golf course from the restaurant would be amazing.
2) Not near the big name vineyards or wineries.

We got a terrific price for a night at the resort, and ended up getting a free upgrade to a junior suite and a 50 dollar resort credit when we arrived. The room was spotless and recently renovated, with a super comfy bed, fireplace, and a full kitchen. The hot tub and heated pool area were amazing! Even in 45 degree weather we swam and hot tubbed at 9pm and again in the morning before we left. California! The restaurant’s breakfast buffet far exceeded expectations, with fresh fruit, high quality yogurt, cereals, and coffee, and tons of options for bagels, pastries, and hot food. The grounds are immaculately kept and our son loved riding around the paved pathways on his bike. A great option for a city family looking for an overnight in Napa. We were nervous about all the negative reviews, but this was an A+ experience.

Wish we could have stayed longer!
Our room was adorable and updated. The service we received from everyone here was off the charts!
To top it off, breakfast was so yummy. We had mimosas and joked that there was more «mmm than ‘osa». They definitely don’t skimp on the champagne!
I’ll definitely be back.

We needed rooms for 6 couples within a couple months of our trip. I had just been to Silverado for a work event and thought to check with them. It turned out they offered 2 — 3 bedroom suites for a great value. They were clean, spacious and our suite had a wrap around deck on the golf course to watch air balloons in the morning and sunsets at night. Melissa our concierge was amazing and lined up great tours and dinners for our group. Top notch. Brunch at the mansion was good as well. Suites worked great for our group.

I am biased as I have a place up here… but.
Wonderful location: close to St Helena, Yountville, Silverado trail (wineries), lake berryessa, and downtown napa. From San Francisco you can be there in under an hour (full disclosure I drive like a madman).
The grounds are really beautiful: You can walk the whole perimeter in about an hour, two lovely golf courses, great bar, great restaurants, okay spa, nice tennis courts. You can also bike the golf course later in the day when the players are finishing up.
The help here is always pleasant, polite, and wiling to help.
My advice to you is ask for the updated residences. The older ones are truly dreadful… and you will have felt ripped off if you stay there.

PGA Event going on. My wife’s company had a nice little condo right in the middle of he action that they weren’t using so it gave us the opportunity.
The room was very nice with one separate bedroom, a living room, full kitchen, patio off the living room and a fenced patio off the bedroom.
The room had a wood burning fireplace which had a note in it saying not to use it because of damage from the earthquake. Now that earthquake was over a year ago… Time to fix the fireplace!
Staff was very attentive making for a wonderful weekend.

My wife and I just returned from the Silverado Resort and Spa. Watched some of the
, wine tasted and played some golf. Great experience. Very pleased with location, accommodations, food, service and golf. Took a golf playing lesson with Tara who was fantastic. We will return.

Silverado is a HUGE estate and very plantation like. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are more like town homes. Sure you cant tell it’s got some age to it but overall a great place to come soak in the Napa atmosphere.

I made a last minute reservation through Expedia for Labor Day and when we arrived at the resort we noticed that I had made it by accident for the wrong date. Their front office manager Cameron took care of the situation by immediately informing us that they had availability and that they could change the dates, but I would just have to give Expedia a call. After unnecessarily long conversation with Expedia’s overseas call center everything was sorted and we were able to check in. Cameron is a true superstar of customer service and should get a raise asap (attention manager).
Our suite on Cottage Drive was gorgeous. Very spacious, beautiful furnishings, full kitchen, fireplace, large, modern stand in shower and a huge balcony overlooking the tranquil golf course. One minus about it was the constant grass-​cutting vehicles driving back and forth in front of our balcony the entire morning. Not very peaceful.
We had dinner at The Grill that had one vegetarian friendly main course, vegetable lasagna that was delicious. Service was truly top notch.
We will surely be back any chance we get!

Overall a C– experience.
It seems that you are paying for the history of Silverado and not for the current experience. Checked in, the desk attendant one of the fellows on a golf cart would show us to our bungalow but he never arrived. After a couple of tries, we found it on our own. We carried our luggage to the room. The outside if the place was pretty run down with the threshold with the paint worn off and the window had paint worn off and very dirty. However, once you get inside, the room was comfortable with small kitchenette, nice shower and comfortable. Our air conditioner broke but they were able to fix it within a half hour.
We ate dinner at Ad Lib. The service was great but the food, although not bad, was nothing special at all-​similar to what you find at a mid-​level restaurant, perhaps Texas Roadhouse. We had wanted to have a night cap and cigar on the balcony but they were having a private party so no where to smoke cigar-​very disappointed in that.
The bartenders were excellent. Very nice ! Best experience of all.
Overall it was the little things that were so annoying
Out Of bags at the pro shop in which to put my purchases, indifferent attitude of check out person, not leaving shampoo, conditioner on day 2. Clearly for the $ 600 per day price, one would expect better than this.
Grounds are beautiful and golf course looks good overall somewhat run down.

Quiet, peaceful location. Beautiful grounds. The food, from room service to restaurants on site, are all very pricey. The mattress in our room was sub-​par. At a resort like this I expected much higher quality mattresses than the one I slept on. Not a good night’s sleep if you have back issues.
In addition to the gorgeous, relaxing atmosphere, the best part of our stay was the warm and friendly welcome we received from Mark L. at the bell desk. He has worked at the resort for years, yet he greets everyone with a warm welcome and interacts with you as if it’s his first day on the job. He is an incredible asset to the resort.

Review is for the bar only — stopped in for a cocktail while waiting for a table at Ad Lib back in February.
When at a hotel lobby/​lounge/​bar, I highly suggest ordering a martini and enjoy the some people watching. An hour’s worth of entertainment to say the least.
Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. They could make a Manhattan in their sleep and really aim to please.
The décor is a bit dated, but there’s ample seating in and outside.
Overall a nice place to grab an adult beverage in Napa. It’s not really on the way to anything besides a room or round of golf, but not too shabby.

Whether planning a staycation, golfing, or just hosting an event, Silverado provides a getaway for all. Since we were in the area for a wedding, Silverado was the logical place to stay for the weekend. The rooms are cottage-​style, meaning once you check-​in at the main house, you drive to the parking area closest to your room and lug your stuff there.
Our room had an extra door that seemed it could’ve been an extra bedroom to the adjoining cottage next door. It was clean and we didn’t run into any outdated interiors like other reviewers. Our three nights stay went rather smoothly except for the egregiously LOUD rumbling noises the A/​C wall unit and mini fridge would make. The mini fridge (located in the closet) would require some «gentle» knocking to calm it down, while the A/​C had to be turned off. If it wasn’t the mini fridge causing problems, it was the A/​C. Since nights were cooler, we didn’t have to worry about getting too warm while sleeping. Since we were mostly out and about during the day, I could see this being a problem if you actually wanted to hang out in the room with the wall unit running.
Walking the grounds, I felt a little out of place without a polo shirt– there were some serious golfers carting around. According to their shiny big banner, Silverado is also apparently hosting an upcoming PGA tour. While there’s a nice 4-​mile run you can do around the property, I was strapped for time and opted to try out their gym. The gym is actually located in the spa building, which you get to after walking across the parking lot (dodge those golf carts!), then crossing Atlas Peak Rd.
After staying at the Andaz Napa and the Westin Verasa, Silverado just didn’t jive with the usual Napa charm I had anticipated. It is certainly more secluded and per the «resort» in its name, it’s for those looking to get a massage, a tennis lesson or a round of golf– none of which appeals to this wino tourista.

Great potential, but needs a facelift.
As you drive in, you feel like you are entering a magical palace, unfortunately once you check in, you realize the hotel needs some TLC.
The rooms are pretty and basic. Be ready for cold rooms. They do not prep the heating for your room. Our room was in the high 40’s… a little warmer than outside. When we tried to turn on the heat it was broken.
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
