Scoobi Doo’s

This place uses alternate forms of time. I pull up at 425 for a nail clipping for my Chi and she asks can she help me then says they are closed. I say it says you are open until 530. The woman says they open until 5. But we’ll be open until 530 tomorrow. Again, it’s only 425… never mind… I guess it’s a bother to change the posting on your door from 530pm closing to «whenever-​you-​feel-​closing» o’clock. How about changing the time here on Unilocal as I stare at your post that says «OPEN». That’s twice already… won’t be a third.

We are just now switching over to scoobi-​doos and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I wanted to switch it up and try a new groomer so I checked Unilocal and noticed they had good ratings so I thought I would try it out. I was so happy with the service. I called to make an appointment and they were not hard to get ahold of. They answered right away and got me in quickly. When I picked up my dog I couldn’t believe how precious and fluffy he looked. They were so nice and told me how much they enjoyed him. Love the staff and the great work they do! I’d recommend this place to every dog owner.

Highly recommend it. After trying out several groomers in Napa, this is the place to be. Staff are very friendly, and they do an amazing job. I’ve always been satisfied and got compliments on the way my dog looks. My dog is usually nervous when he gets haircuts but they have been very kind and patient with him.

Stopped by today, spoke with Ashley regarding my dog and explained he was left with half of his body buzzed. He had bit a petco employee and they couldn’t finish the job due to company policy. Ashley asked me to bring Fonzi in the same day so she could work with him. She was great with him and was able to complete all his grooming needs. We were very happy with her work. We have our next appointment in three weeks.

I took Monty to Petco and they refused to groom him because he was SO nervous and afraid of the groomer. I took him to Scoobi Do’s right away and I was shocked at how comfortable he was! He let the groomer carry him and she was so good at making him feel at home. The vibe here is amazing. Monty and I could tell the difference right when we walked through the door! Thank you guys for taking care of my little man.

Can’t really comment too much as my dog was too nervous to be cut and so only got bathed. There is a rather long wait list to get a full grooming appointment.

I’ve been going to Scoobi Doo’s for the past year or so simply because there are so few options here in Napa. I called earlier this week to make an appt and left a message because it was after business hours. When they called me back the caller ID said THURSDAY SPECIALS or something like that. I didn’t know what that was, but returned the call and it was Scoobi Doo’s returning my call. I made an appointment for today.
When I went to pick up my dog I asked about the Thursday special. I was told that that was just on Tuesday and only for the self-​serve prices. The gal pointed to the mirror where all the specials were written. There were specials for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They were hard to read given the different colors used and large plants covered half of the wording. I pointed out that the Thursday special said 15% off for those over 55. NOWHERE DID IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BEING FOR SELF-​SERVE CUSTOMERS ONLY!
Knowing I wasn’t going to win this battle I asked how much it was for my dog’s grooming. The lady said $ 60. I handed her my credit card and when she put the receipt in front of me it said $ 65! I questioned the charge and she said, «No, I said $ 65.». Yeah, because 60 and 65 sound EXACTLY the same! NOT!
I consider all this very shady behavior. If they’re going to post specials they need to make it clear what they’re for. And if you say grooming costs $ 60, don’t charge your customer $ 65!
I was also put off by another employee eating her Top Ramen meal right in the lobby!
Take it to the back of the store where your customers don’t have to watch you slurping your dinner!
For these reasons I will not be going back! Ever!

Okay… so I have lived in Napa for two years now and have been taking our Shih Tzu back to Marin every three weeks for grooming, we bath him once a week at home. It was about time to find someone here in Napa… our first place (no name mentioned)
but the groomers were outside smoking cigs… that is the last thing I want our dog to smell like… so that was a no… then today my husband saw a place just across the street from the high school… it so happen to be scoobie doo’s…we thought we would stop in and ask some questions… we parked in front and we could see two ladies inside and a gentleman whom was picking up his pet… they were all staring at us as though we had done something wrong. we hadn’t even gotten out of our car yet… but we did venture inside and the gentleman left but the two ladies inside were still just staring at us… so I said is there something wrong you are just staring at us… oh no they said… so I asked the coast of a grooming for our dog whom was with us, and if appointments were necessary… well they were just down right rude… since moving to Napa I do not think we have encountered such rude people… both you ladies need to work on your social skills, and most of all potential customer service… I will look for another groomer and if need be I will go back to Marin…

My complaint is that they don’t always do what I request. My dog has been known to come back without getting the hair on his tail clipped, ears and nails done. This is after I request these things upon arrival. The people are nice enough that work there, they just don’t listen well.

I took my new Puppy Bailey for his first wash and trim. He looks great. They were kind and friendly and he was fine. The price was quite reasonable. They were able to fit me in the next day. They seemed to have dogs of all sizes. Kennels were clean and Bailey was immaculate and happy. We will be back!

New to town — saw these good reviews so I called them. I got in the same day! They were VERY nice — and cut my schnauzer in a non schnauzer puppy cut just like I asked!!!
My VERY anxious dog didn’t even lose his mind (more than normal, that is)
So glad to have found them!!!

This place saved my dog’s life. Her coat was so silky smooth that I couldn’t resist continually petting her, and then I felt this tiny pea size bump. Had it checked by the vet, biopsied, and turned out to be malignant. Had it not been for Scoobi Doo’s EXCELLENT grooming, my dog would have gotten very sick.
I can’t thank this place enough. They are always friendly, enjoying their jobs, and their grooming is the best I’ve been to.
Wish I could give it 10 stars.

I went and added a doggie addition to my family. I picked him up and he looked absolutely horrible. I needed to get the poor dog in as soon as possible. I called up four different places before Scoobi-​Doos. I told the lady what happened and she was so helpful in squeezing him in for me right away. She was so helpful and sweet. The place is clean. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. I am so happy with this place. Never taking my dog anywhere else.

Scoobi-​Doos was really great. It was very clean & didn’t have that overwhelming smell of wet dog. Out of the times I’ve been there they have always been super fast, under 2.5 hours & my Morkie is done. They are also very careful when they groom her & she doesn’t seem stressed whenever I pick her up. There kennels are placed in plain view of the door/​outside & not tucked away hidden in the back. Other groomers I have been too I can walk in & hear my dog whining & barking. At Scoobi-Doo’s I have never walked in & have heard a peep out of her.
The only negative I have to say is the staff can give very judgmental looks. My husband asked to have our dog shaved to about ¼″. When we picked her up 3 of the staff members where standing there & giving me a lecture on putting a sweater on my dog & how cold it is… I got pretty nasty looks that made me feel very uncomfortable. People judge before they know. They could have asked why we wanted the hair short & we would have gladly told them we frequent Palm Springs & are heading down there. 100+ weather is justification to have a short hair cut.

Researching reviews of groomers, found them on Unilocal.Looking at reviews, so many other shops are impersonal and lacking with their services. But Scoobi-​Doos Do it! lol! Super happy with Robin and her staff. Robin is engaging, (a plus,) and her shop delivers… No short cuts here. Our Pupples comes out properly groomed, smelling like a rose, and more importantly not stressed out!

Had a great experience here today. Great customer service and the puppies look and smell great. We will definitely be back.

They are so great! At 4 am our Bernese Mountain Dog was sprayed by a skunk. I called Scooby Doos as soon as they opened and they were great. They took her in right away, «deskunked» our lovely pup, and did a really great job. We really appreciate it, and so does Ziva– she gets to come in the house tonight– has no odors, and she was happily waiting for us when we came to pick her up. Thank you! Great job.

Took our two Yorkies for a bath/​grooming and they came out so cute. Their haircut was great, even though I was vague and very general how I wanted their hair it was done so cute. I liked the fact that they put them in a kennel in the store front instead of being whisked away in the back. We came to pick them up and they were again in the kennel upfront and was content as can be. They are our new groomers.

Joey and Champ always look amazing when they are groomed at Scoobi-Doo’s.

Just took my dog to get his nails clipped, when I got home I noticed blood all over my pups paw. Of all people, the owner of Scoobi Doo’s clipped his nails and cut him so bad I couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. If the owner can’t even clip a dogs nails I wouldn’t trust the other employees. If you care about your dogs well being, don’t take them here. I’ve never seen so much blood come out of my dog and I’m sure I’m not the first.
