Palms Tanning Salon

Carmen is the sweetest! I walked in for the first time and she got me all set up. I didn’t have tanning lotion and she helped me pick one out. She wasn’t pushy and even recommended one of the cheaper lotions because she said it was one of their most popular. I appreciated that because she could have easily tried to sell me one of their more expensive lotions that can be up to $ 80!
The place is really small so avoid their peak hours (5pm-​7pm). I never had to wait around for a bed if I avoided those times.
Overall it’s a great place if you’re looking for a tan at a great price.

I bought a groupon for the spray tan and it was one of my favorite purchases.
Process didn’t take as long as I thought and it looked so good. She was able to guide me through the way. I came home with an awesome tan and some products to prolong my tan during my planned vacation.

I discovered Palms $ 5 Friday’s which are tanning for $ 5! It is seriously the best thing ever!
Besides that the owner is super sweet and they have a nice selection of tanning lotions. The beds are always clean and if you forget eye wear they can provide it.
Overall it’s a great place to tan for a great price.

After reading the previous long-​winded post from another, I felt I should add my 2 cents about Palms Tanning. I have been coming here for years…2 owners back kind of years. I have had TONS of contact with this newer owner, Carmen, and have seen her in action from the time her baby was born. In all of my times tanning there, I have never ONCE recalled her little boy crying for any great length of time. I am sure he has cried, but it has been so infrequent that I can’t even recall a specific instance. She has also ALWAYS been nothing but friendly to me, never once rude. So as a long-​time customer, I think I am a more reliable reviewer of this business. I have had great experiences at Palms and am very happy tanning there. I do bring my cell and earbuds and listen to music to help pass the time, that would be my suggestion for anyone tanning in the beds. They also have great prices and deals on Groupon. I didn’t know that until Carmen told me to go on there and check out her special. I am trying the spray tan this week with her. I love this place, it might not be all fancy or anything, but Carmen and the other employees all make it feel very welcoming and their services get the results I am looking for in my tanning needs.

I have lived in Napa all my life and have been to various tanning salons. I recently left another tanning salon due to their prices being way over the top. I found a great ad on groupon for Palms. It was SUCH a great deal for 2 months unlimited, cheaper than what I was paying for 1 month at other said salon.
I arrived for my first tanning session and Carmen was SO welcoming and friendly. She made the process of joining Palms very easy and fast. She explained the beds to me and I was in and out so fast. The salon is small and cute, very clean, great music always playing, and there is always a person smiling and greeting you at the counter. Once you have been in a few times, they get to know you and call you by your first name and really make you feel welcomed and give you a great personal experience.
The beds are fantastic. They have lay down and stand up. They are always clean, and in the room waiting for you is a clean towel and a clean pair of goggles to use… so awesome not having to buy your own! There is always a can of spray on deodorant which is so convenient to use after your tanning bed!
I have loved my experience at Palms so much that I have continued to tan there and purchased another great deal for 3 months unlimited. I can’t even begin to tell you how great and affordable the prices are for such an amazing tan and experience. I will never go to another tanning salon again!
If you’re lucky, Carmen will sometimes have her sweet baby boy in the shop with her! He is such a cutie with the biggest and brightest smile like his mama. He is always well behaved, never left unattended to run around, never crying, just perfect. He always adds a little something special to my tanning experience.
I highly recommend visiting Palms Tanning and talking with Carmen about getting just the tan you need! she is so friendly and so knowledgeable about what times you should be going in at, etc. I couldn’t be happier with them. ALSO, I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bed… SO perfect for a busy girl like myself! Thanks for making me feel right at home, Palms!!!

Last June (2014) my tanning salon in American Canyon suddenly closed. I tan for a specific skin condition. If I don’t tan life is exceedingly uncomfortable. I decided that I try my «old salon» Palms. I’m very glad I did.
I’ve tried each bed and the stand up, all work well and keep my skin clear. I’ve been with the salon over six months now and my skin has remained in better condition than my previous salon. To me this speaks volumes about the quality of the bulbs. I have tanned at other salons and I will say I’ve had some issues with weak, low end quality bulbs. I’d have to tan everyday just to keep from being uncomfortable. At Palms I do not need to tan nearly as frequently to stay comfortable, clear skin and not to mention a nice golden glow. This really saves me a lot of time and concern.
Regarding customer service I love Carmen, when ever I need something she finds it for me. I’ve always been treated with courtesy, respect and dignity. Since my first phone call my questions were answered professionally and promptly.

Just recently got a spray tan there from Carmen for the first time and it’s hands down the best tan I’ve ever had! She made everything comfortable and took her time to make sure my tan was perfect! The salon is super clean and has a great atmosphere. Will definitely be a regular customer here from now on!

Five dollar Fridays rock!

I love this little spot! I used to tan other places in the Napa area but they are too pricey. The pricing at Palms is affordable and the tanning beds are great! Everyone who works there is great and very friendly! I went there before they opened at 8:50AM and they were nice enough to let me tan early before work. A gesture that I greatly appreciated! I don’t know why this place isn’t as busy as it should be! But I love the fact that I never have to wait for a bed! Thank you Palms tanning!

great place to tan. One of my Favs in the area. Modern and efficient beds. great prices, specials and packages and the staff is always great. i haven’t been in since the new owners yet but will soon.
