Gordon Huether Studio, located in Napa, CA is an exclusive exhibition and production venue featuring a variety of Huether’s large scale artwork, private commission work as well as his fine art.
Huether’s enormously successful career, spanning several decades, has involved large-scale art installations, many executed in the medium of glass and re-purposed metal. In recent years he has begun exploring different media and a more challenging direction in his smaller-scale fine artwork. Using the seductive properties of richly saturated color, a wide array of natural and artificial light sources, luscious and diverse texture, found materials and quirky, sometimes unsettling imagery, his work offers viewers a complex intellectual experience.
Gordon Huether’s 15,000-square-foot studio, originally built by the Bishop Family in the 1980′s for use as a hay barn and later as a feed store, has undergone a 1.5 million dollar renovation. The studio houses Gordon Huether’s design studio, project gallery, fabrication facilities, administrative offices and the Hay Barn Gallery, featuring a revolving exhibition of Gordon Huether’s fine art, as well as exhibiting the works of selected guest artists.
