Salty Paws Homemade Biscuits

This is my favorite dog shop!
I used to live in NC and recently moved out to OK. I like the treats so much, I have my family members who live at the beach ship us the treats still :). Their treats are the best.
They always have great toys and I have loved anyone I met working there. They are definitely dog lovers. My favorite moment at the store was when someone brought their kids in and were running around crazy. The owner saw my dog was nervous about kids and asked the parents to keep their kids away from my dog — such a nice relief when often its always the dog who gets in trouble.

The lady behind the counter asked where we were visiting from. When I told here northern Maine, she exclaimed that she has family and friends there.
I filled a small bag full of a variety of treats for my dogs. Several flavor a to choose from.
I brought my bag to the counter as the lady had continued to talk with us. She was very kind and cheerful. She bagged up my treats and handed it over and told me, no charge! I was shocked! She said to spread the word about her store and to enjoy our trip. I’m still smiling about this encounter. 100 stars to Salty Paws.

Loved checking this place out this past weekend, we were able to spoil our new niece furbaby a little bit with the gourmet natural biscuits here. We got the trio pack if (chicken, beef, and peanut butter) and she loved every single one. The shop itself is full of dog gear and treats and of course dog friendly. Some items are pricier but most are spot on for a boutique shop that lets you cater your best friend.

This was our first year stopping in and I’m glad we did! Our two yellow labs were welcomed with open arms, they sampled chicken free treats and loved them. We will be coming back for more, if not ordering some soon! Thank you ladies you do a great job!

I discovered Salty Paws on the bring Fido app and i am so happy that i did. I went to the Duck location and was greeted by the sweetest lady who was so happy to see my puppy walk in the doors. She talked to us and gave us advice on all the treats. She even has the most adorable collars and leashes you can buy!!! I love supporting local business and this is one i will continue to support over and over again! Go buy your fur babies some yummy healthy treats :)

Since we were out and about in the Outer Banks without our pup, I decided to find a pet store and get her some treats. This was the number 1 hit on Unilocal.Thank God for the pictures on this site, because it was hard to spot on the road for us since the shop is on the downstairs portion of a shopping center.
We went on in and got greeted by a friendly face. Boyfriend is a huge Carolina Panthers fan so we were hoping to find some gear our pup can wear on game day. There was a whole wall area for NFL and college gear. They didn’t have my alma mater (VCU), but they had some Panthers gear. I found a bandana I could attach to my dog’s collar, but they did not have it in a large size. Oh well. We looked around some more and the place offers a lot of dog items — bowls, toys, leashes. Some of the prices seemed too pricey… I saw a retractable leash that was about $ 45 or so… I looked online to find it was around $ 20.
We ended up checking out the dog treat bar area. You can mix and match different flavored treats in a build your own bag or get the prepackaged bags. I opted for the prepackaged since I wanted to try the variety. We got a half pound bag and took it home to our pup. She’s been enjoying it ever since. The bag has a guide to what flavor each treat is according to the shape. So far, our dog has loved them all and I know that nothing crazy is in these treats with all the ingredients listed out. I’m sure our pup didn’t mind so much that we left her for a trip with us coming back with goodies like these.

Salty Paws is an OBX must for dog lovers. A wonderful selection of homemade dog treats. They also have a nice selection of collars and leashes. Not going to OBX soon … order on line! Your dog will love these delectable treats!

We stopped at the shop in Duck and we were very impressed. First, the owners/​workers are extremely warm and welcoming. That says a lot. It makes me want to support their business. They asked about our pup and gave great advice. Next, I love how you can purchase the specific treats you want and pay for them by the pound. They do have bags already made up, but I prefer the option of picking the ones I want. I bought an assortment for my pup to try, then went back to buy more. My dog loves them all! I highly recommend this business!

Fresh dog biscuits made on OBX from all natural ingredients. Pay by weight so you can mix and match flavors. There is also a good selection of pet toys with many beach and water friendly options.

My husband and I stopped into the Salty Paws in Duck to grab a gift for our dog. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as soon as we entered. It says a lot for a company when employees/​owners ask about you and your pets and you can tell they really care. We would return next time we are in town!

Great fun place… they also have dog and cat toys… leaches…gifts in addition to homemade biscuits. Had trouble finding the place… it’s inside a small mall where the kite place is.

Visited when we went to the kite store and the fudge shop. Very quaint, fun store. We bought a big peanut butter bone and a huge indestructible chew toy for our mastiff. We now order his treats (peanut butter and cheesy garlic) from them online because he loved the peanut butter biscuit so much!

Nice pit stop when in Nags Head. Dog friendly shop. My puppy enjoyed roaming the shop and picking up a bag full of homemade biscuits. We will be back.

My review is for the Salty Paws location in Duck. The staff is so friendly and the prices are excellent! I got my minpin a large assortment of treats and only spent about $ 2! There must be 10 – 15 small treats in the bag. There are lots of flavors as well as all natural choices for your pet. My little guy loves Salty Paws!

We always stop here when we are in Nags Head. Great place to take the pups to pick out some toys and treats. Staff is also very friendly. We like that the treats are all natural. Plus you can order treats online!

Very friendly and welcoming shop! You can bag treats by weight for great, affordable souvenirs. Also a good selection of quality dog toys.

This place is awesome! The owner was super friendly & very helpful. We weren’t able to bring our pup on this vacation, so we stopped here to get her treats to take home! We ended up getting her a Happy Birthday bone, 18 assorted homemade treats, & 3 peanut butter bones dipped in chocolate for just under $ 15. I felt like that was a really good deal, especially at the beach where stuff can be overpriced. They had all kinds of magnets, toys, & accessories here too if you need any of that. Definitely stop by here if you’re in the OBX area!

Nice place right off the beach for anything you may have forgotten at home when your on vacation. The ginger snaps really help our dog when he had an upset stomach. Oh and the location is perfect and the whole shopping mall is pet friendly besides the fudge shop. Make sure you walk across the street to Jockey’s Ridge. A little bit pricey on the merchandise though.

Great store with a wide variety of products for dog lovers, from toys to treats to shampoos and accessories… and let’s not forget the homemade biscuits! We took our Teddy, our Great Pyrenees, in to the store (he was welcome, I love that!) and let him pick out some biscuits. He is not usually a fan of crunchy treats, but he gives Salty Paws four enthusiastic paws up!
There is even an online store so Teddy can get his fix of Salty Paws before we come back to the Outer Banks next year. This shop is a most-​stop for dog lovers!
