Outstanding trustworthy professional service. Now I drive a 2001 Mazda Tribute that was bought in 2000. So it’s basically 14 years old. My dad is big on taking VERY good care of every car we own. Our car’s last us years beyond what they do with other owners. So not long after I moved to Nacogdoches my car was«acting funny.» Now I’m definitely no where near as knowledgable as my dad about car’s. So when my car acts up I immediately call or text my dad and tell him all the symptoms of my car. So when my car wasn’t running right he decided to I should take it to the mechanic, oh I forgot to mention my parents live 5 hours away so my dad wasn’t able to fix my car. So my dad found J&W repair and told me to take it there. We’ve all heard the rumors that mechanics and car places sometimes intentionally try and screw clueless women over, but I never had any problems with J&W. They were totally honest with me about the fact that I needed half my spark plugs and a coil packet replaced. When they simply diagnosed my car they never were pushy about them fixing it or making me fix it immediately, they simply diagnosed my problem, quoted me the best possible price they could, and I talked through it with my parents, mainly my dad, and we let them do the repair. I would absolutely take my car to J&W any time I needed to. These guys are good guys, very trustworthy, and work hard. They’re not out to screw anyone or scam people out of money, they just love cars and want to make sure your car runs as best it could.

I have been going to J&W Auto for several years and they have saved me a lot of money compared to the other auto repair places. John is the head mechanic and is very knowledgeable about just about anything to do with vehicles. He is also friendly and easy-going. For example, he doesnt make you fill out three pages of information and charge you to look at your car; John usually just says to pull it in and he will try to diagnose it right there. The cost for repairs is usually a fraction of what it would be at bigger name shops. One thing to keep in mind is the brand of parts being used. O’Reilly auto parts is next door, which is okay for most things, but if you want better quality parts, you might want to buy them somewhere else yourself. Also, you might want to take your complicated computer problems elsewhere. All things considered, this is a great old-school shop that tries to save you the most they can. The only problem is that they are usually working on 20 cars at once because everyone else around there also knows about them.
