This gas station convenience store boasts a «bulk items» portion in the back that is straight up Costco items. The markup isn’t that bad and it saves the residents of the area quite a drive to Kona. I went in to get breakfast provisions as my morning negotiations would start before the breakfast places in town opened and it was PACKED. The store was pretty hot with no AC and not much to look at décor and display wise, but the fridges were cold and shelves well stocked and its bare-bones look does carry with it a certain special charm. The manager told me it was packed because this time of the month is when EBTs get reloaded. He also told me that all the other Wiki Wiki’s had shut down on the island but this one was going strong. I’m really cheering for this locally owned business and hope it and other mom and pops like it can survive. It seems to really fill a need in the community and I really appreciate that the bulk Kirkland items aren’t marked up really high which certainly helps local families.
