Sabal Park Inn

We were working our way down the w coast of Florida a few yrs ago and Pricelining our butts off to save the boss money. The weekend before working N Ft Myers we realized it was spring break. No hotels anywhere. Somehow this oasis appeared before us. A one level mom and pop motel from the 40s had two vacant rooms. What would normally rent for 30−40/night, we paid 119 each. No discount for the week long stay. Very clean rooms and well manicured grounds welcomed us home after very long 12 – 14 hour days. AC was a window unit but the rooms were small enough that this wasn’t an issue. The walk in shower was huge and sparkling clean each day. Full sized fridge and complete kitchen. We made use of the community grill in the front yard a couple of times. Only one problem with our stay. I used smokeless tobacco at the time and had dropped a couple of «balls» behind the bed. The owner thought it was dog poop and charged my company card for treating the carpet for fleas. After an explanation he refunded the charge. Good quiet place.
