Great food, service, and people. Best Thai soups and spring rolls. Went back 2 days in a row. Can’t get any better

Almost only gave two stars. I’ve ate here twice because it’s so close to home. Both times, the food was not all that. First time my sesame chicken didn’t taste like sesame chicken Lol. Chicken was over cooked and sauce was not flavored right. Last night I got egg rolls and egg drop soup. My soup was terrible, tasted like the own it was cooked it had remnants of it’s last dish, or that someone spilled some dish water in it. My egg rolls were soft, sauggy and barely filled. The sweet and a our sauce was good though!

I have mixed feelings about this one. Let’s start with the positives. The people and service were amazing — super kind and attentive. The food, sadly, was just ok. We had the lettuce wraps to start and they left a lot to be desired. Very bland. The food that followed was just okay. In fact, mine was the best of the bunch and mine was pretty good. Everyone else’s was bland. Great people. Mediocre food.

The staff is very friendly and eager to serve. While waiting to order one of our MB police arrived to get a to-go order. She mentioned to us it was the best Oriental on the beach. We ordered chicken and snow peas to go. Food was prepared quickly and we were on our way. The vegetables were a bit over cooked and soft, reason for the 4 stars. Spring rolls were really good and we’ll be back again.

We are from out of town, all the way up in Virginia Beach, but this place is a must when we come down and visit each year. The shrimp rolls are to die for and the service is impeccable. The woman who owns the restaurant vaguely remembers us, and sometimes in our weekend trip to Myrtle Beach we will visit more than once. Absolutely worth it.

We were wanting Chinese but settled for Asian. What a great surprise we got when coming here. We read the reviews and liked what we saw. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted but the owner and his wife. We had one of the lunch specials and these were not huge portions. My wife had the Pineapple chicken and I had the General chicken. Great flavor in both. We also had the spring rolls and crab ragoons. These were all made fresh. The place yes may be a hole in the wall place but you really will be blown away with how clean it is and with the freshness of the food.

Small place. Food was high on quality very small on portion. This place was very vanilla. Tastes were very bland. We were continually asked if food was too spicy. It was like no spicy. Think Panda Express. It was the most Americanized version of Thai I’ve ever had. Service was very good. Staff very friendly. Interior reeked of old cigarette smoke.

The food here it’s awesome. We were looking for Chinese food and a place that was open on Easter Sunday. The place was small and food was awesome, especially the chicken fried rice, the crispy noodles, the crab rangoon were top notch. Would highly recommend this place for a quick tasty bite.

We ordered takeout from this place. The oil used to cook was bad. Our throat hurts after eating. The pad Thai was very sour and we had to trash the entire thing.

The Mrs and I had a tatse for chinese, she wanted pineapple chicken fried rice. The reviews here were good. Small establishment but you can taste and feel the love from the owner and hostess. You can see them cook right at the counter and your food comes to you piping hot and ready to eat! Flavor was on point and service was top notch, another secret of MB. Don’t be fooled by the BIGCHAINS, the smaller restaurants paxk a BIG punch in flavor.

We used Unilocal reviews to find a different Chinese restaurant this year because the one we ordered from last year was a disappointment. Apparently that’s a common theme for Chinese restaurants in Myrtle Beach. I had to call 12 times until the phone wasn’t busy to actually order. That could possibly be because it’s a Friday night though. We ordered General’s chicken, which from reviews was supposed to be amazing. It’s not. Every General tsos chicken I’ve had previously has been crispy, this was mushy and not appealing at all. To get fried rice, with no meat, it was an additional $ 2.00 per order. We also ordered a shrimp egg roll, regular egg rolls, and pork fried rice. Nothing was spectacular and the food went mostly uneaten and directly into the garbage. I guess next year we won’t be ordering Chinese food. However, the staff was pleasant and friendly and the restaurant was clean.

A wonderful experience! We started with the shrimp spring rolls and they were yummy, filled with large tender pieces of shrimp served with a hot/sweet sauce that I could drink! My wife had the Pan Scallops, she loved them, sautéed with vegetables, I had the General’s chicken medium hot and asked for extra sauce. Both of our entrees came to us steaming. My Chicken was excellent and loved the sauce, I got the large portion, thinking I would have some later but I consumed it all. Its a small restaurant with limited seating but I highly recommend you give it a try.

Tiny place, excellent food. Never had tarragon in my egg drop soup before but I was pleasantly surprised. Beef medallions were plentiful and tasty. General Tso’s chicken was off the hook.

This place took over for my favorite Americanized Chinese place in Myrtle a little over a year ago, but I never tried it until recently, which was a mistake because it’s really excellent Pan Asian cuisine. The menu has Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, authentic Chinese and a few classic Americanized Chinese items. I like the idea of being able to go to one place and have several different cuisine options. Inside it’s still very small, practically a hallway with a handful of tables. We chose to sit at the counter which faces the wok station so the kid could watch the action. With an open kitchen and customers sitting a foot away, you can be sure everything is clean and freshly cooked. The menu includes Thai favorites like Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, soups and salad. I also saw Vietnamese bun salad. Japanese dishes included several udon noodle bowls, some tempura items and Teriyaki Chicken. Classic Chinese dishes like Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Lo Mein went alongside things like Black Bean Scallops, General’s Chicken and steamed fish with ginger. I look forward to exploring this on future visits. We started the Japanese edamame which were steamed perfectly, sprinkled with sea salt and served with a sweet sesame dipping sauce. Simple but done well. We also had the fried calamari which had a light tempura style coating and was served with more of the same dipping sauce. Again, a simple dish but cooked just long enough to be tender and not rubbery, which is a real measure of cook’s skill. The owner’s mother also fixed a skewer of Teriyaki Chicken Bites dressed with a sweet plum sauce for my friend’s young child, on the house. He loved it. I went with the Bangkok Chicken which was white meat chicken pieces, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms in a red curry coconut milk broth. The chicken was very tender for white meat and the vegetables were crisp and very fresh. I’m used to a bit more heat from a red curry, but they gave me a side of chile sauce to kick it up a gear. Served with white rice that was cooked just right with a bit of bite to it and not mushy at all. This was a great light, refreshing dish after a long day broiling in the sun. My friend went with Sesame Chicken, an Americanized classic Chinese dish, and the serving size was enormous. I tried some of it and I thought it was a great version. White meat chunks of chicken coated with the more traditional egg batter, fried golden brown and tossed with a mildly sweet sauce and sprinkled with plenty of sesame seeds. A definite notch above what most places serve. Everything here seems to be a notch above what most Asian places serve in Myrtle Beach, I hate I didn’t try it sooner, but many return visits are in my future for sure.

We liked this place! We were worried about seating, but there’s at least two tables for a family of five. The General’s chicken is amazing, the rest of our dishes were good. Would like to come back.

We had a wonderful meal at the Wok on the Beach. The food was incredibly fresh because everything is made on site. The Tempura Shrimp was delicious and huge. The portion had 8 jumbo shrimp over fried rice noodles. The one thing everyone raved about was the spring rolls. You NEED these, veggie or shrimp, doesn’t matter, hand made springs are awesome. Its not a large place or the place for a romantic dinner date, not it is the place for fantastic Chinese food in Myrtle Beach.

Trying out this place. My father ordered the Classic Chinese Lo Mein with scallops. He stated it was«phenomenal»! I ordered the General’s Tofu(see my picture). Surprisingly(or maybe not), I was the first person to ever ask for this dish. Because of this, the one owner(wife) asked me twice how it was. It was awesome!!! Best General’s Tofu I’ve had in a VERY long time!!! For the curious people: this is a relatively small place for eating in. Probably seats 20. They’ve only been open for 4 months and is owned by a married couple, who were very friendly! We will definitely be back! This place is legit!!!
