As the previous reviews state, you can find everything in Wings at other beach retailers. I like Bargain Beachwear the best but in a pinch, Wings has all your beach needs.

We shopped at Wings during a recent trip to Myrtle Beach. They have all the usual crap that the other stores sell, nothing special. My review will focus on the tattoo area, right inside the doorway. Henna tattoos, which my kids love to get on a beach vacation. First, it took nearly 20 minutes per tattoo(x 3 kids). Second, the price was outrageous(but shame on us for not asking first) — $ 120 for 3 tattoos. We following the artist’s instructions for what to do that night, one step of which involved peeling off the puffy layer three hours in. Well, the kids fingers were covered in henna as a result. And two of the tattoos were blurred, one beyond recognition — it was just a big purple blob. We stopped by the store the next day for a ‘free touch up,’ which we thought meant cleaning up the edges and making them look as they were intended instead of big blobs. A different artist was on duty. She said the first artist had supplied us with the wrong instructions and there was no way she could fix what had been done. So now we have three kids with big purple and black blobs on their bodies, henna all over their fingers(which will take several weeks to fade), and I’m $ 120 poorer. The best part? When I called the manager to complain, his only suggestion was to offer me a free tattoo. Really? We are working with our credit card company to get the charge reversed. Don’t get a tattoo here!

I don’t think I’ve ever been so irritated in all of the times I’ve spent in Myrtle Beach. I warn you, do not buy anything from any of the Wings stores. I purchased 2 pairs of shorts this morning and was unable to try them on before I bought them since there was only one person working. When I tried them on at home they were too smalland I didn’t really like them. I figured ya know, $ 14.99 and $ 12.99 for sweat shorts is a bit pricey so I’ll just return them. Well, on my way to back to the store I looked at the receipt and it said no refunds, only exchanges. When I got back to the store I asked the lady at the counter if she could make an exception and she refused and said they don’t do any refunds. Please note, this is not stated anywhere, it is only on your receipt which you oviously see after you’ve already purchased the item. Wait, it gets better. So, I finally get a bigger size in one pair of the shorts($ 14.99) and proceed to get a pair of sweat pants instead of another size in the shorts and they were($ 12.99). The lady then tells me that I have a $ 2.16 refund and to run my card. WTF? They said they didn’t give refunds! Why couldn’t you just give me my $ 30 back??? Needless to say their policy’s are very inconsistent and I will never return to any Wings stores.

I actually don’t know if this is the right business, but it’s at the right address, so here goes… Wings is one of the Big Three discount retailers in the Myrtle Beach area(Bargain Beachwear and Eagles are the others). You can find lots of crap in their stores, but unlike the others there really isn’t anything decent at Wings that I’ve found. Their stores seem a little smaller and junkier than the other two, but they may have more stores. I’m not really sure. The most unusual thing at this location is that as we were leaving, there was a guy — and not a drunk college kid, someone that was perhaps 40 — who was negotiating with a girl in the atrium area to get a tattoo later that night. Now I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking that one of the last things in the world I would do is get a tattoo from a girl in the atrium of a Wings store. Making it even worse is that should could barely speak English. I can’t vouch for any other languages she may speak, but that one would probably be a deal break for me.
