One of my coworkers was telling me about how this place had an amazing happy hour, so I decided to check it out. Mind you, I had been here only once before and that was just to have a drink because I didn’t know what other places carried Johnnie Walker Blue Label. That being said, their liquor selection is phenomenal. They have older years of McAllen and even have flights of different things like a single malt flight and Remy Tier 2 and Tier 3 flights, plus a few more. I thought it was a really cool idea. Happy hour is from 4:30 to 6:30PM every day. Kind of shorter than your average happy hour, but we got there around 5:30 and still had plenty of time to drink and eat. I got their Rocks Rita, and my girlfriend got their Vintage Whiskey Sour. My margarita was really good, and she enjoyed her cocktail(not a big fan of Jim Beam so I didn’t try it). They actually make the sour mix in house, so it’s fresh which makes a huge difference. Moving on to food, we got the Kobe Beef Sliders and the Seared Ahi Tuna to share. Both were just melt in your mouth delicious. I think next time I’ll try their steak burger. Chris and Greg were our bartenders, and they took excellent care of us. Very well mannered and polite. A great bartender can definitely make or break your experience, and these guys were great. So, two happy hour appetizers and two drinks for each of us, our bill was 47 bucks before tip. The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is because although their food is delicious, it’s not worth the dinner prices they charge. We will definitely be back for multiple happy hours though!

so on my 31st birthday my amazing fiancée took me for a steak that should have been amazing. I ordered the filet cooked medium and unfortunately it was cooked well done. I mentioned it to the waiter and he asked if I checked it more towards the middle… although he did offer to have another one cooked, my fiancée’s salmon had already been brought out… not to mention the salad I ordered never came out… although they didn’t charge me for the salad… the steak was no where near the standard you expect from an establishment like Ruth’s Chris. I am extremely dissatisfied with the meal and will not be returning…#choosenyprime!!!

We attended the wine pairing five course dinner on Sunday October 18, 2015. What an outstanding event. The courses were each paired with a different wine. The wines were described as to why each one was paired with each course so besides being extremely tasteful, it was also very informative. A saxophone player was present during the entire event which made a perfect night. We would definitely attend another similar event.

The petite prime filet was very good. It was served with garlic mashed potatoes which arrived cold, so ewwwwww. The creamed spinach was very good.

Let me start by saying the service was very good. The bread on the table is really outstanding. For dinner I ordered a NY Strip and my daughter ordered the same. I ordered mine medium and it came out well done. My daughter ordered her steak rare and it was not rare. I was hungry, so I decided to keep mine. That being said, when my daughter told the waitress she her steak was cooked incorrectly she immediately took the steak back and got her a new one. I was impressed by how fast the steak came back out which was within five minutes. We ordered the shoe string potatoes and the serving was very large. We didn’t even put a dent in them. For dessert, my daughter ordered the crème brûlée, which was very good and I had the apple tart with ice cream which was excellent but huge! I would have given five stars if the steaks had been cooked correctly. I would dine here again.

I went to Ruth’s Chris to celebrate my Mother’s birthday and I had a pleasant experience. It was on par with all of the Ruth’s Chris locations that I’ve visited previously. Our waitress was good and very well versed when it came to the menu, and the service was as expected. I ordered my NY strip medium rare, but it was quite overcooked the first time. They fixed it quickly, and without hesitation. They were very apologetic. Each dessert was delicious, and the waitress even brought my Mom a little something extra for dessert with a candle in it. We had a very nice time and I would not hesitate to return.

Nice little scenery to check out while eating some amazing steak! The veal osso bucco ravioli was amazing, one of my favorite apps ever. Wife and I were both extremely pleased with our steaks, sides, waiter and desserts. The crème brûlée was decadent and the chocolate mousse cheesecake was out of this world. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to at least 6 Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses around the country and the Myrtle Beach location definitely needs help! I ordered a petite filet medium rare and my husband ordered the ribeye medium. They both came medium well. Not sure why it is that a «steakhouse» is unable to cook a steak correctly. I had broccoli as a side — and although I do like it crisp, raw is not my favorite. The chopped salad was excellent as was the service but when I can get a superior meal at the Outback for a third of the cost, I cannot find any reason to return to Ruth’s Chris. This was our second visit to this location — it’s unlikely that we will return.

We had an excellent experience here tonight. First off, Joe was our server and we couldn’t have received better attention. He treated us like we were the most important guests he had all evening, and made it a truly memorable experience. The ambience and view is fantastic with the Marina in the background. The food was outstanding. This was our first trip to Ruth Chris and we were so pleased. The Cowboy Ribeye is awesome and the Crème Brûlée was exquisite. Will definitely make this a tradition.

We’ve been to Ruth’s Chris several times, in several locations. The Myrtle Beach location doesn’t disappoint! The service is fantastic and the layout of the restaurant lends itself to make the diner feel like she’s there with only her companions, rather than involved in the conversations at tables around her. The steaks can’t be beaten. I’m always tempted to try the shrimp and grits, but the lure of that luscious piece of beef is too much for me to result. I’ve got food restrictions and our server was very willing to work with me to find tweaks to will make the meal work. Our group enjoyed a nice, long meal. Each course delighted, from appetizers to desserts and coffee.

Made a reservation through open table. We didn’t do valet parking and parked in the lot across from the restaurant. We were seated immediately, our waiter Brendan was courteous, prompt, and friendly during our meal. The drink selections were all on an iPad that was sat on our table to browse through. After looking through the menu, we ordered a Caesar, I got the Strip and my wife got the petite filet. Both were cooked to perfection, I love that fact that the plates are 500 degrees and you can hear the sizzle of plates being delivered to nearby tables and then finally to our table. I feel in love with being able to de-glaze my plate with sections of steak I cut to pick up those flavorful bits and butter, it just enhanced my steak experience. We also ordered sauteed baby spinach and a loaded baked potato in which Brendan had the kitchen put onto two separate plates. I figured we needed the spinach to at least look like we wanted something healthy. We ordered the warm apple tart for dessert. It came with dollop of ice cream on top and it was a very sweet and pleasant way to end our meal. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful evening here and then took a nice stroll across the marina at night, nice experience all around!

We were there in November 2014. Unbelievably awful… I should have had the waiter remove the lyonnaise potatoes from my table and take it off my bill. They were pre-cooked potato chunks cooked in a browning or deep fried unknown manner then they added barely cooked onions and there was absolutely no butter. Ugh. The steak was lacking flavor and I just bowed my head in shame as I didn’t have the courage to argue or walk out. Even if the quality of the Myrtle Beach location was during off season or under bad management, I will still never take another chance to have my dining experience with my husband destroyed in such a manner.

Even a «bad» meal would be a 4 out of 5 at these places. Usually go to the location in Troy, MI but were in Myrtle Beach on vacation and wanted to celebrate. To this day, I cannot think of any steak I’ve had that even comes close to the filet mignon at Ruth Chris. This location is no different. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. Unbelievable steak.

To start off the waitress was miserable. She never cracked a smile the entire evening. We tried throughout the night to get her to lighten up. Nothing doing. Filet was fatty. Mashed potatoes were room temp. The au gratin potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. First time I’ve gone to a Ruth Chris and couldn’t eat my dinner. I’ve been to Ruth Chris steakhouses all over the world. The one in Myrtle Beach was terrible. DONOTRECOMMEND!!!

Time to update my review! Manager Darryl Hills promised if I would come back & give them another chance, he’d make it worth my while & man he wasn’t kidding!!! Everything was«PHENOMINAL», as you would expect from Ruth’s Chris! I got the 16 oz. ribeye, which was cooked to perfection, barbecue shrimp, lobster bisque, wedge salad & fries, all of which were«GREAT!» The complimentary sourdough bread was good also. Service was«AWESOME!» Just wish I could remember our waiters name? Thanks Ruth’s Chris & a special THANKS to Darryl Hills & our waiter for an «OUTSTANDING» meal!!!

I have eaten at many Ruth Chris locations and always had very good service, as we did on this occasion. The kitchen committed a major faux pas this time. A bone-in ribeye was brought out that appeared by size and quality to be from Applebees not Ruth Chris. The manager replaced the steak while acknowledging it looked wrong to him also. However, the time we had to wait for the corrected steak effectively ruined our dinner. I appreciated that mgmt removed the item from our bill, but a superb dining experience is what one expects at Ruth Chris every time and sadly this time that was not the case.

The lamb will make your knees weak. Fillet mignon is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Salads were excellent. I’ve been happy with every meal I’ve ever had there. I’ve been to the Garden City, NY, Las Vegas NV and Myrtle Beach, SC restaurants, and the wait staff are very attentive, conscientious and polite in all of the restaurants. Make reservations, but this is one restaurant worth the wait, if you must. Although they accommodate children, it is not really focused towards them. Get a babysitter and enjoy!!!
