Palace Theatre At Broadway At the Bch Tckt Rsrvtns

I watched the Carnival of Magic show at this venue. The auditorium is very very well kept and clean with very spacious seating and adequate lightning. Very entertaining and family friendly with slight humor throughout the show. The great thing is that this show had two acts that were both semifinalists in Americas Got Talent, so they were very skilled and entertaining to watch (Bmx Bikers & Hand balancing guy). The magic tricks are not the best but fantastic treat for a younger audience because the show’s host is very energetic and passionate about what he does. However, some of the magic tricks will leave you dazzled! Overall had a nice experience but would not say it is a top tier magic show, but that’s what it’s supposed to be — carnival mixed in with magic.
The venue itself had a very nice interior red and gold throughout. It was nice and although it did give a 90’s feeling it was comfortable. Concession prices are ridiculous — $ 4 for a bottle of soda or water. Popcorn was $ 5 but wasn’t really as hot as it should be.

Quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever spent money on to be trapped with a clown for most of the whole show. There is NO magic at all. It’s the same box trick over and over. Literally we watched a woman get in and out of a box and have the pieces separated 7 times. If you are above the age of 3 this will/​should not be entertainment. I had more fun taking pictures on the lions outside the theater during intermission than anything that actually happened inside the show. Seriously don’t waste your money. Instead give that money to someone less fortunate and save yourself the torture. Only only only «good» part of the show was a 5 minute acrobat with the cutest dog running all over him.

Received two free tickets for the carnival of magic show so we figured why not? The show was actually better than we expected. Very entertaining and some acts that made us go «okay, how did he do that». After the first hour, I was ready to go but we stayed for the whole two hour show. I would say this would be better for those with children rather than two adults. It was something cool to do because it was free but we wouldn’t have spent money on tickets for this show. My one complaint about this is that it was a bit unorganized with redeeming my voucher for the free tickets– the company who issued the voucher put the incorrect order number which caused them to have a bit of trouble locating my seats. Once we got the tickets and went to be seated, someone else was in our seats-​which is when we discovered that the tickets were printed for the following day. We were able to sit in another location but the seats were not as good as our original seats.

I went to a magic show here, and it was pretty entertaining. This review is for the venue only. The Palace is really pretty on the exterior, but the interior looks like an 80’s movie theater.
The small concession stand offers stale popcorn and hot bottled soft drinks. The décor is cheesy, and the bathrooms could be cleaner. After seeing this venue for many years, going inside was a little disappointing. Overall, if the show is alluring enough I will go again, but it’s going to have to be a doozy!

Illusions of magic… the brochure is the really bright spot. The magic was somewhat boring after seeing the same type trick several times. The brochure leads you to believe the tigers are part of the magic act. Not true. They are on stage for a few minutes doing some rather simple tricks for a tiger act. NO magic at all with the tigers. the best part of the show was the Archer. Serious danger and great suspense. He made the second act. Now, back to the magic-​we have seen much better, even on Americas got Talent. And all the dancing from the dance troup gave little to the overall performance. However the venue was very nice and clean. Can’t recommend the show though for the money there are better.

Palace theatre is a very nice place. Illusions of Magic was pretty good. The main host did a lot of similar tricks which got a bit annoying at times. Overall this was a good show.

This was a nice venue. My husband took me here for Illusions of Magic for my birthday and while the show left a little to be imagined, the venue was pretty good. It was clean, comfortable and not run down. The concession stand didn’t have great options but I was amazed they even had concession items to begin with. One let down was the fact that the website said they had a bar, and it wasn’t open. We arrived early for the show to have a drink or two before it began (i left it would help the «Magic») and we were very disappointed with it wasn’t open and the employees explained it wouldn’t be opened. It was a 7:30pm show so I assumed that would be prime time to have it open but apparently not. Like I said overall great place, clean and inviting. I would return if there was something I wanted to see.

Very nice venue. It’s unfortunate there are more acts/​shows that come through here! Sounds is great and has potential for worthwhile shows.
Illusions of Magic: This was kind of a snooze-​fest. I expected a little more magic and showmanship from the Vegas self proclaimed «The World’s Greatest Magic Show.» This statement tells me A. They are not aware that other magic shows exist or B. All magicians are indeed not from this world.
That being said… the special act with the Archer from America’s Got Talent was AMAZING! Seriously… this guy makes the show. In fact… changing the name of the show and having him as the headliner and the magic as a «special act» makes more sense (and would get a 4 –star rating from me)!

We saw Illusions of Magic here in August of 2013. Loved the show! Great entertainment for the kids!
The theater is gorgeous, comfortable and the staff is very accommodating.
Highly recommend the show!

Went here in November 2012 to watch opening week of Xmas on Ice. The building is great, good views from every angle. I wish they had a little more options on their snacks. Not much to choose from. Easy access to get in and to leave. Plenty of parking.

Nice venue… very large house with no balcony. The stage is very large and perfect for any type of show. Speaker placement is poor… they cast shadows from the lights and block the view of the performers.
House staff left a bit to be desired. The box office supervisor flat out refused to let us peek inside the theater in the afternoon while there was no show — our request was simple… we wanted to see the seats so that we could make the good decision on which ones to buy (a map doesn’t always cut it). Apparently the staff was still cleaning up from the 10am show *rolleyes*. The «Guest Services» gal tried to get us to attend a time-​share shpeal to get discount tickets. NO THANKS!
I think the management is letting it get a bit run down… the landscaping needs more attention, the lighting in the lobby is cheap and tacky. Carpets are due for a cleaning or better yet, replacing.
Overall it is a nice space in the middle of the Broadway Tourist Trap. There is room for improvement. The traffic pattern at night after a show is very confusing… watch out for pedestrians and people driving the wrong way with no lights on.
Came to see the Cirque show… I will review it on the Cirque Unilocal page… show has no bearing on the theater’s review.
I just discovered that the Palace has been showing Le Grand Cirque for the past FOUR YEARS. Come on folks, get some new shows in there and quit beating a dead horse.
Rating breakdown: -.5 star for poor maintenance, –1 star for irritating staff members, –1 star for selling tacky blinking toys in the lobby for kids to distract the audience with and allowing a meh show to run for four years without improvement. With a few simple improvements, this could easily be a 4-​star venue. TOTAL: 2.5 stars.
