My boyfriend and I were in Myrtle Beach on Vacation and really wanted to try parasailing. Ocean Watersports was the closest location to our hotel, so we decided to give it a go. They were able to get us in right away, and parking was free. The two guys on the boat made parasailing a really fun experience. They were friendly and really gentle when letting the parasail out. They dipped us as we came back in, but only a little bit. My only complaint was the banana boat ride on the way out and back. It was really rough and I felt like I might fall off at times. There were even little kids on our banana boat and the jet ski driver didn’t seem to care that they were scared. Otherwise, great experience.

Recently visit myrtle beach.
We had lots of fun. One of the activities we had in mind was, banana boat.
So ocean water sports was our near by spot.
we when out for the fist time. It was fun.
The jet sky driver was a professional and careful.
the ride goes in deep ocean.
So we went for a second ride.
It was terrible. The driver was reckless. And rude.
Salt water, was in our face thru out the ride.
He would not slow down. After we give him sings to slow down. It was bad.
To make thing worst, we lost one of our passengers in deep sea. And she was not a good swimmer. After turning around to pick her up. The driver was not helpful at all.
Very bad experience. Very unprofessional
Fun that with the wrong driver could turn into a life and death experience.
Be aware!

Went out with my fiancé. Paid online (cheaper) and didn’t wait long. Our spot was for 10am, took care of us on the spot. Really convenient since it’s right on the beach and we walked up from our hotel. Banana boat ride out was fun then the parasailing (first time) was such a great experience we were up in the air for about 15 minutes. The captain of the boat had us swinging and dipping in and out of the water. We also had a great time on the speed boat (30min ride) watching the others parasail. I highly recommend this place! The banana boat ride back was a ton of fun as well.

It’s like paying for a 5 star hotel and getting the key to Motel 6, which may work for some but not for everyone. There were 10 of us in the family and we decide to do parasailing. At $ 54+tax per person, we paid nearly $ 600. Here is what we got for this price:
1– Our reservation was for 2:30 PM. We waited and waited and waited. By the time we were asked to jump on a banana boat to go to the main boat, it was almost 4:30 PM. Reservation don’t mean anything here. They had one guy trying to manage multiple customers and groups and it was just horrible. No organization, no management.
2– We were divided into 2 groups of 5 which is fine because there is a limit of 6 per boat. Here is the first scammy part. They dont want you to take any pics so they can charge you another $ 35 for pictures at the end. Dont be fooled. These are no pro pictures. Its two guys on the boat clicking the camera. When I saw our pics it looked like an 8 year old can probably do a better job. If you manage to bring your phone on the boat, they will rush you like crazy so you can’t take any pics. It was obvious with the way guys were acting.
3– The two guys on the boat were a bit condescending towards everyone else on the boat. Granted we don’t know much about boats or how things work but we are not stupid. Their attitude and comments were immature but again no surprise there, especially after watching the way this entire operation is being run.
4– This is the deal breaker and the second scammy part. Instead of sending couple of people up at a time, the guy suggested all 5 of us go up in the air at the same time and we were rushed into it. It was uncomfortable as they put 4 of us on one bar and a child in front of us who was swinging and hitting the person behind. The reason why they did this is because it saves them time. Its not about the customer. If they had followed the 2 – 3 people at a time rule, they wouldve had to spend double the time.
5– We were barely in the air for 10 minutes and it was over.
So let’s recap, bad management, rude crew, no organization, uncomfortable flight, $ 600+ in cost + cost for pictures, uncomfortably long delays and 10 minutes of fun. You make the decision if its worth your time and effort.

The location is awesome; it’s right on the shoreline. We went for banana boating and the ride lasted about 30 minutes. Our driver was really friendly and adjusted the ride to our preference. We were in and out in no more than 50 minutes!

Ehhhh it’s fun but not run very efficiently.
You’ll end up waiting at least half an hour between different activities. Reservations don’t mean squat so don’t waste your time. The only plus to calling ahead is they’ll give you a pretty good discount you can’t beat anywhere else. I figure they realize you’re probably calling because you’re shopping around.
Parasailing was a joke. Not worth you’re time or the money. We only went up about three minutes five max, and waited over half an hour with reservations.
The jet boat wasn’t the main attraction we went for but was definitely the best thing there. Awesome ride that lasts about half an hour. Well worth the money. Half million dollar boat with about 700 hp! Need I say more? We took the banana boats back and forth which was cool since its basically an extra ride.
I’d go back for the jet boat but nothing else.

Unacceptable service today. We and about 10 others will never parasail with them again. The boat drivers were great. We were and other boats stranded for over an hour without rescue while people were vomiting over the side. We were told there was a shortage of banana boats to drive out to the main boat only after we were stranded. What should of been an enjoyable 45 – 60 event two hours of hell. 3 x $ 53 each was a waste of money.
Avoid this place.

Although the customer service was pretty good, they were not transparent about the conditions in the water. I had bought tickets to rent a jet ski for my son, who’s eight, my daughter and my son in law, and after waiting an hour for a jet ski to become available (having already paid), the guide indicated that the surf was «a little rough». After fighting the surf at the beach, they got out to sea only to realize that there were 10ft waves, and a rough riptide pushing the jet ski towards the pier. After falling off in rough waters, they decided to call it a day and go in, and they hadn’t even completed a full lap in the ocean. If the company had been more transparent about the conditions, they DEFINITELY would not have gone out, especially with a young child. Oh! And the kicker? They got a $ 30 parking ticket for parking in that companies parking lot, after being specifically told that they were allowed to park there. Just a precaution, ask about water conditions before paying for your jet ski!

Went parasailing today. DEFINITELY a blast and worth the money! On the way out to the boat, we road the sea shuttle (2 banana boats together). This was thrilling and exciting, even though it did scare my mom. The key is to hang on tight and lean forward. Once we reached the boat, we were helped up. Captain Howard was very nice and played the music we requested. It was my first time parasailing, and they made me feel very safe. We just sat down, and floated up. The view was great! It was 10 am so there was a nice breeze and the sky was very clear. A school of fish even swam under us.
It was so relaxing up in the sky while also being exciting. You just hold on and enjoy the ride. I would definitely do this again. The pictures they took were only $ 30 as well

Jet ski ride not worth the money. They tell you 15 minute ride and ride you out for 5 minutes sit in ocean for 5 minutes then back. My 10 year old was impressed but 14 old disappointed in lack of thrill.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We did both the parasailing and the banana boat ride and LOVED it. Was located close to our resort hotel, so was obvious choice for us, but we loved the folks at Ocean Watersports and will go back again! The parasailing was well-​done and captains of the shuttle and the para-​sailing boat were professional and fun to be with! The captain of our banana boat was Capt. Tory, CRAZY dude, (in a good way), gave us a great ride up and down the beach with enough wave action for the 3 kids and enough calmer seas action for the dad who is NOT a fan of the ocean! We felt well taken care of and in good hands! Jim and his staff in the ticket office were professional and FUN! These folks know what they are doing, and do it well! We’ll be back next April! Thanks for the great adventure! Side note: We were scheduled for para sailing and banana boat on Monday — which ended up being a windy and choppy day on the ocean. These folks called us first thing in the morning and asked if we could switch our visit to the following day which was forecast to be clear, warm and calm. Luckily we were staying through and were able to switch. We were so pleased that they had called us and took care of our adventure! VERY PROFESSIONAL!

Jetboat ride is worth the money. The team needs to work on organization crowds and set expectations. A little patience required.

They beg you for a tip even before you get on the boat to go parasailing because they say it is «customary». Even gave me a plastic bag to keep my tip money in. Been to multiple water sport companies and NEVER heard of tipping after paying them alot of money to go parasailing. Plus they lost our pictures.

Was disappointed with this place. The jet skis were all beaten up with torn seats, broken gauges, broken mirrors and many other things. The website claimed the jet skis were new and that sure wasn’t the case. We waited probably 45 minutes to board a jet ski because they couldn’t push them out to the ocean without more staffing. So… We waited… The course is in a triangle shape and in a straight line, I found that very boring compared to other places in the area which allowed you to use a «play area». I asked if I could only do a half hour instead of an hour that I paid for because I wasn’t real happy and they said «we don’t do refunds.» We ended up stopping early anyways and went back to the place at Murrells Inlet where we actually had good service and nice skis. I wouldn’t recommend this place and will never be going back.

Best deals if you arrive before 11a bit reasonable and great fun.

My fiancé and I decided to go parasailing and it was the best! They were extremely friendly and helpful. And the prices were reasonable for the parasailing and photos. Only con would be that parking and finding the hut was a little confusing because we are not from around here. But I called them and they gave me better directions.

If you go before 11 it’s $ 49. Be sure to wear beach attire (trunks and bathing suit). The captain and the people working the jet skis and desk were very friendly and accommodating. You start with a banana boat ride to the parasailing boat. They take pictures of you while your up there. It feels like a giant swing that’s high in the air. We saw sea turtles and sting rays. You can see whales and dolphins too. The views are amazing and it’s very smooth sailing. It was a relaxing ride. They dunk you in the water about halfway through. Most memorable and fun thing to do. I highly recommend this place for couples vacationing. It’s very much worth every penny! Just make sure you hold on tight to the bananas. Those were a lot of fun too.

For $ 100, before 11 am, this was SO worth it!
Parasailing was the most relaxing and thrilling thing to do in Myrtle Beach. The people helping us were very nice, they didn’t make anything difficult, and we got pictures afterwards! ($ 35) Honestly, if you’re willing to throw down that much money on it, it’s an amazing experience.
Wear BEACH CLOTHES! Don’t get dressed up! They dip you in the water half way through.

So, I am a major thrill seeker. Parasailing was more like sitting on a very slow swing and being pulled across the sky. The views were worth it. we got dipped in the water too. it was fun but then i was like, omg what if a shark bites my leg. so scared They pull you out and in on a banana boat and that was better than the parasailing. soo much fun. we liked it so much we tipped the guy who pulled on his jet ski.
Only disappointment was we went with a family of 10 and they split us up. i’m fine with that but we didnt even get to see each other the whole time. it would have been really nice to see them in the sky.
plus they literally give you a bag and tell you to tip the captain. sort of weird. our captain didnt even talk to us or make it more fun. it was very awkward… if he did I would have tipped him a lot more.
Any body over 35 pounds could ride.
Cost $ 48 each plus tax and tip
Picture are $ 20 for one on a usb or $ 32 for all. What the Heck! crazy. mind twisting! obviously we will get all the pictures…

Pretty good time! We did banana boating, and our driver was pretty cool. It was a pretty quick process… we all signed the waivers and headed over to grab our life jackets. They also let us put all our stuff behind the counter for safe keeping.
Unfortunately they didn’t let us go on the single tube thing because we had a non-​swimmer, and they said the waters were way too choppy. :(We also waited a long time for the banana boats to come back for our turn… lame…they should’ve let more boats out! Also… I don’t know what standard pricing is, but it was about $ 17 per person not including tip…
…but yay I didn’t get tossed off!
