Hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled cheese. Really good burgers. Just ok fries but the burgers are really good. Kind of an old time feel to the place. I would recommend this place.

Decent burgers served by enthusiastic young teens. Convenient refuelling stop whilst shopping at the Tanger Outlets, on Highway 501.
Chilli cheese fries have lots of cheese and chilli on the fries.
Avoid the table at the back as it is extremely close to the restrooms.

Dirty tables and dirty floor. We arrived around 5p.m. There were only 2 tables occupied. Food was terrible. I ordered the 2 chicken breast grilled dinner plate. Asked for no peppers, that part was correct. The chicken was cut up into small chunks (definitely not 2 breast worth) this made the chicken dry. No flavor to meat or onions. Then when the server brought the meal she said if I wanted the toast someone would run to the gas station. Texas toast from a gas station? You guessed it regular bread came to the table, barely toasted. Stay away if you want an edible meal. Very disappointing.

Good service from the waitresses. Wish these outlets had a proper food court but oh well. The Burgers a little bland and the bun was so steamed it was almost watery. Fries were great.

I was surprised at some of the negative reviews I saw but as we were hungry and there was no food court at the outlet mall we went ahead and stayed. I was very pleasantly surprised, the staff was friendly and attentive, the décor was diner– ish but acceptable, but the food was really good. I had the double cheeseburger Andy size (the larger size patty offered). It was really good, juicy and flavorful (much better than a whopper or Big Mac, ever better than Johnny Rockets fare), my wife had the shrimp pro’boy, it was overflowing with shrimp and had a great tasting sauce, only the chili fries we just average, but here in the south a really good chili is hard to find, no offense y’all, so all in all I think this is an under rated and pretty good stop for a burger and shake while shopping at Tanger 501

The burger my wife ordered filled about 50% of the bun and looked like it belonged in a kid’s meal. The Philly I ordered was beyond bland.
Shakes were the only redeeming factor.
Service was decent, though somewhat inattentive.

Murrells Inlet, SC
Having ate at the Hwy 55 Murrells Inlet location many times and having very good food and great service, we decided to stop at the Tanger location while doing some shopping. We were so surprised how 2 locations could be so different, we had the worst food, and horrible service.
