Meet the Business Owner
Michael N.
Business Owner
I’m originally from Persia (Iran). My family fled the political and religious persecution of the current Islamic régime in 1978 and moved to the US from Europe. I graduated from East Carolina University (NC) and spent most of my professional life managing and building complex software for IMB, pharmaceutical companies and major manufacturers.
Rugs have always been a passion of mine, both as art and a source of investment.
Many generations of my family invested in oriental rugs because they are recession proof and easy to move in case of major event. I moved to Myrtle Beach permanently 4 years ago when we relocated our Litchfield store to our current location.
My family always did a lot of riding and hunting, and always had dogs and cats while I was growing up. However, since I live in a small condo, I only have cats. Two Persians and one very lively Ragdoll. They keep the spiders and wasps in check, doubling as alarm clocks and physical trainers. (giggle)
