I like this salon it been in business for a long time and they are lisc. professionals.
If you think 100% of the time everyone is going to be happy you live in a fairy tale world. Dont judge a salon buy one bad review by a person who may or may not be telling the truth.

I came here for a style for the marine corp ball in November. My stylist did a fantastic job on my partial up-​do. She managed my long hair well. It looked perfect and I’m glad I spent the money because the pictures will last a lifetime.
I don’t remember her name but I see her described in another post which gave her a bad review. I can’t speak about that other experience but she was very capable of doing my hair, as well as the customer who left before me with a full up-​do.

IF I could give this place a minus star I would! I brought my sweet 16 daughter here for a make-​over. I got her hair colored, cut, etc. I also brought my 10 year old for a basic cut. I also had an appointment for a cut but, cancelled. I can’t remember my hairstylist name but, she had a deep voice, short cut/​pixie, tattoos, and very, very, thin. She looked trendy and I thought that was a good sign. She seemed nice and that was where all the good things stopped. She started with shaving my one daughters hair on the side. It is so uneven and chopped wrong. It seemed obvious the girl is new to clippers. The lady told me she would be fixing it up after the color and it was only to get the beginnings of it and to know where to color. So, instead of believing she was new to clippers I just trusted her word. Then she started coloring the hair… AGAIN her technique was odd. I thought maybe there was a new technique because of the odd way she was doing it. She would ring the hair as she colored it like I would do to a soaked towel. This left many of the pieces not colored and it also created bleeding into the blonde streaks she had added to my daughter’s hair. Imagine wringing a wine colored hair into a blonde streaked hair. She stained a lot of my daughters face but, she told us that may happen. She sat my daughter in a different chair to process and then was my next daughter’s turn. She wanted a trendy cut but, the hairdresser told her she didn’t think she could do it or it would be a good idea for her age. So, we went for the side bang with a cut that went short (the shoulders) in the back to long (a little past the shoulders) in the front. I couldn’t believe it when it was over. The lady had no idea what she was doing. FIRST she does not wash the hair and I think cutting on dry hair was the first mistake. I noticed other hair dressers cutting on dry hair too. Second, the lady cut her bangs horribly. It is uneven, she cut a notch out above her eye, and the short to long is soooooooo choppy it looks like a student did it. I couldn’t believe this. My daughter started to cry. The lady tried to fix it but, it just went shorter and worse. I finally just gave up. Next my 16 year old was ready for a rinse and finishing the cut she started. The cosmetologist had the shave on the side she needed to fix, coloring going on, etc so to stop her there was not an option and no one else was available. She did not cut where my daughter’s hair parts. Instead she cut a little and now my daughters hair falls over the shaved part so you can’t even tell she had it done. The side bang she has is way to long and lays in her face. The lady added the blonde to the front bang so to fix it she would have had to cut the blonde out and restart. Obviously with all of this going on I was not going to have her re-​do it. She told us AFTER this that she just didn’t have the capabilities to do the cuts. I’m glad she admitted she needs help and many hours of learning before she cuts hair but, it was a little late for my kids. We walked out without paying my youngest daughters cut. It was chopped and uneven that there was no way to deny that. The lighting was low so we couldn’t see the 16 year olds coloring too well and my daughter asked me not to let the lady cut it more because the lady was pissed off about the tears of the little one. I of course told the hairdresser I was not getting a cut today and was cancelling. When we went outside into the sunlight the mistakes were apparent to my 16 year olds hair. The missing spots of color, bleeding, staining, cut wrong and uneven, etc. So, we decided to see if the owner could fix it. He couldn’t get us in within the next 3 days so we had to just have the money refunded. Before we made our appointments we had called this salon and told them we were vacationing, it was my daughter’s birthday, and we wanted the person who could cut hair fantastic to be the one to do her hair. We wanted her to be pampered. My husband was very clear and so was I. Instead we were handed a newbie. At least I HOPE she was new. I did see the others cutting on dry hair also and I would never take the chance. When the owner let us know he was booked and couldn’t fix my daughters hair is when we asked for a refund. I have to take both my daughters to a hairdresser to fix their hair now instead of having the owner do it. He could have made some money and not taken such a hit to the pocket book if he could have fixed the choppy, uneven mess. My husband goes back to South Carolina for the next 6 months and we will NOT be going back to this place. I have my hair cut, colored, etc all the time and it isn’t like this salon would not have been making money on a repeat client. At my salon here in Michigan I pay 180.00 EASILY plus a 20% tip when I go to the salon. It would have been a great sale if the owner would make sure his employees are trained and know how to cut hair. I have pictures if anyone dares to dispute this

That’s right, it’s worth waiting several months for a haircut until I’m home, and can get the treatment, cut, and color I want from Kevin! Everyone at this salon is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they know how to work with a client to suggest styles that work well with your hair type and face shape.
