The Bahney House Café has a proprietary blend of coffee beans used in our regular and decaf coffee and in the making of espresso drinks. (European/​BH Style Cappuccino, Lattes, Con Panna, etc…), Our pastries; scones, cookies, Whoopie pies and Hershey’s Perfect Chocolate Cake are made on site. Our soups are also made on site using vegetables and meats prepared by us. The atmosphere in this historic building is quaint and relaxing with our solid wood tables and chairs and a wall mural comprised of old photo’s from the community. Our friendly staff is eager to serve you with a smile and help you have a pleasant experience will you are our guest. We have a clean laundromat adjacent to café so you can come to do your laundry and have a Premium Sandwich, Homemade soup with a mug of coffee. We offer Free WiFi for all our guests.

History

Established in 2014.

The Bahney House has been a landmark in Myerstown for almost 150 years. The building has housed many businesses over the years including a barber shop, bank, soda jerk, hotel, restaurant, bar, night club and a few others. The Fireplace Christian Fellowship purchased the building in 2010 from a local business women and starting renovating and restoring the building to house a 22 room hotel, a ²⁴⁄₇ public laundromat and it’s most current item, the café’.

The businesses in the building are run as «for profit» businesses and the business pays all taxes as any other business would. The Café’ opened in Sept. 2014 and has gained momenteum in capturing business each week we’re open.

Our goal is to add enhancement to the eateries that are here already in Downtown Myerstown, to add positively to our community and be servant leaders. We desire to bring blessings to all who live in our community and who join us at The Bahney House for food, laundry or to rest their head in a room.

Meet the Manager

TJ K.

Manager

TJ is currently the Assistant Pastor of The Fireplace Christian Fellowship with a main focus on managing The Bahney House Hotel Inc. Prior to moving into managing The Bahney House, TJ was with The Hershey Company for 18 years. His last position there was as a lab technician in the Product Development Group. TJ has over 30 years experience in the Food Industry that include QRC, QSR, Farm, Logistics, Manufacturing, Marketing, Planning and Warehousing.
