I love this place I have been coming here for the last 6 years for all my furniture and my family too. Sarah coronado is great, super friendly and helpful I always ask for her. And the prices are great

While the selection of furniture is okay, I wasn’t impressed with the level of service at this place… primarily from Erika, whom I believe is a manager.
We walked in and found a table that we’ve been looking for for a while. Our normal furniture store was able to switch the bench for two chairs for the same price, so I asked if it was possible for them to do the same. She immediately got an attitude that made me just want to walk out…
Unfortunately, my wife wasn’t gonna let me live if I didn’t buy her that table… So I went back a week later, sucked it up, and bought the damn table.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, but they had what we were looking for so at least they were helpful there.

this is a lousy furniture store. I bought a few things and the last item was damaged. they gave me the run around. I went in the store today to get the floor model and I said I would take it for $ 40 dollars less and they refused. I paid cash they refused to pay me cash back and insisted I take a check. they did not offer an apology or any other option. I would not recommend this furniture store to anyone. Be Ware!

This is the worst place ever, if I can give them zero stars I would. I bought a living room and they delivered it to my house. The delivery man came by himself and asked for help Putting it inside my house, my husband wasn’t home and the driver was mad because my husband wasn’t home to help him and I had to help him get the furniture into my house. He had no tools, the living room didn’t fit from the door, and he was supposed to take the leg off and he couldn’t do it because he had no tools and he broke the leg and when my husband went to the store the next day to ask to fix the leg the owner started yelling at my husband swearing and saying «I will call the police». I will take them to the court. Not professional people, rude, this is my worst experience to buy furniture from a store and these people don’t know how to run a business don’t even think about buying any thing from over there. It’s better to just spend more money on someplace that’s actually professional.

Buyers beware! The furniture may look nice and the price may be great at first — just wait a few months. I purchased a foe-​leather click futon in February. Just a few weeks ago, I noticed majority of the seat seams were ripping apart — obviously the fabric that was used was cheap and the wrong thread was used to sew the seams together. Since the store would not consider returning; they contacted the manufacturer (Poundex) whom considered this «normal» wear and tear. Come on people. Will not ever shop here again.

do not ever buy here! you will regret it!!! this is supposedly the corporate office and the customer service sucks, the quality sucks, the furniture sucks. everything about this place is slimey, snakey, and phoney! please don’t buy from this place! you will regret it!!!

Extremely unprofessional and rude. Their greed is painfully obvious in the way they treat you. I will never go back and do not recommend them, despite the good price on a mattress.

This place stinks! Sitting here waiting to pick up our order and the customer service is horrible! Our order was a week late and they charged our financing 2 days after we placed our order and we haven’t even picked up our furniture. Their attitudes stink and they act like they are doing us a favor! Wish we never ordered from them! Never again.

Do not stand by their products. Wow, really really poor customer service. We shopped around all day for a futon and finally decided on a brown leather (like) Klik Klak that pulls up and out to a queen size bed. We got a good price and decided to take it home that day since they told us they had one left, it came in two boxes and could fit in our van.
The first issue came when the kid pushed the huge box into our van. Upon meeting resistance he kept pushing and ended up breaking a part of the reclined seats. We didn’t notice this until we got it home. Then, we hauled the box upstairs opened it and realized they gave us the black color, not the brown. THEN, we noticed there is a scratch on the piece that lists up to create the bed.
After all of these problems, we contacted customer service. Their solution — for us to return it — in the box — and they would give us the brown one, which, mind you was the floor sample (no discount offered, no offer of picking it up for us). AND denial that the person who jammed it into our car was responsible for the damage. Instead they claimed that it was our fault. Wow, really? Wow

If it was possible to leave negative stars I would. Customers BEWARE of this store. These people are RUDE but only AFTER they take your money and NO REFUNDS. This business needs to close and get out of this town. I suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I regret paying to be talked rude to, and hung up on over their mistake. Let’s hope this place runs out of customers and closes its doors. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE FRIEND OR FO.

We recently moved from a 950 sq foot condo into a 2700 sq foot house, I needed to furnish a formal living room and dining, as the holidays were to be in our home this year.
Saw the add in the Press enterprise, and went to just look.
I saw my couch I wanted the minute we walked in «L» shaped. I maybe took 2 steps towards the couch when I had Sara right next to me, I told her we wanted to look around a bit before we decided. she was always 5 steps behind.
By the time we walked out, we had bought the couch, a round coffee table with 4 stools under it, and a counter high dinette set… roughly $ 2K. and we stressed it was Needed BEFORE Christmas.
2 weeks before it was delivered, I paid extra for them to remove the boxes.
Noticed a defect of the dining table, pointed it out to the delivery guy, who said ’ its a defect in the product, let them know” and they left.
putting together the round table one leg was broken, emailed them sent pictures. ok they will fix it but I have to go down to the store and switch out pieces.
I emailed them about the defect on the dining table (it was writen on the reciept there was a defect) the morning after Christmas, as it had chipped, sent pictures.
NO CALL
3 days later I get an email from Emily saying basically ‘too bad so sad you didnt buy the extended warrenty your SOL’ so I call. and speak with Christina, and get ‘Girlfriend I wanna help you I will take this to my manager and get back to you by the end of the week’ Nothing
Following monday I call and ask to speak with a manager, Frank? I think was his name, tells me well its been 2 weeks that you had the furniture, how do we know you didnt ruin it??? I told him I have the paper trail to show it was a defective product. so he tells me there isnt much they can do because I didnt buy the extended warrenty ($ 350) but he will call me by Friday as they want my business still. (I still need bedroom sets at this point) Friday nothing, Saturday nada, Monday –thursday Nope, So Thursday I sent them an email again, and also explained about customer service… A happy Customer will tell 10 people a pissed off one will tell as many that will listen.
So here I am today, April, still with a messed up table, I cover with a table cloth, my $ 1200 couch? the zippers are all coming apart, where it takes 3 people to try and fix them, 2 to hold and one to try and get the teeth back together, and my round table? another leg broke on it!
Piece of advice, want nice furniture, go to the van buren swap meet, to the MALUX booth, ask for Mario, you will not be disappointed, we bout our bedroom set from him, real wood, beautiful! so much better customer service, when my son and daughter in law got their first place, we went to him for the furnishings!

Just horrible!!! Bought a bed frame 3 months ago, within the first month one of the rails broke, they were «courteous» enough to replace the part, not before saying they don’t do that, and don’t offer guarantee, go figure. So then just last week, the same rail broke, again, I called the store and Randy, the manager, said there’s nothing they can do, because there’s not guarantee on the stuff they sell?! Wtf! It’s been 3 months!!! And now I have to buy a new frame?! It’s ridiculous, just crappy furniture. Id never go back to this place.

Excellent service and just as great of a selection. We came in right before they closed last night and were immediately greeted by Emily and her smile. She introduced herself and offered her assistance in helping us find whatever we needed. She wasn’t pushy like most sales people but did help us out whenever we had questions or couldn’t find what we wanted. There was a great selection to choose from and we felt like the staff was genuinely out to help us buy what we needed not what they could shove our way for a sale. We came back today to pick up our order and Christina helped us out and made us feel just as valued as customers. Instead of walking out with our pick up, we actually ended up getting our couches too. Great service. (6424)

A while back I ordered a headboard and came in on the day they told me that it would be ready, but it was on back order and would be delivered to the store for another 4 – 6 weeks .they didn’t call me or anything to let me know what happened. They didn’t accommodate and wanted me to buy a display headboard for more money rather than offering me something at the same price… long story short. I asked for my money back and never returned… I won’t say I will never go back… I’m just sharing my experience… if they get better with communication, I might be back. Prices are great and furniture looks good too… they just left a sour taste in my mouth from that entire ordeal. Only two stars for being mediocre… show and prove for better reviews. :) I might go back. time will tell.

I had such a quick and easy experience at Payless furniture! Christina was very helpful and honest. I was shopping for a new bed and she was honest about what would be the better option for me in the long run and it ended being the cheaper option as well. I had bad experiences with memory foam in the past but the last couple of nights have been the best sleep that I’ve gotten in a really long time. I have never been more excited to sleep! Thank you Christina and Payless furniture for giving me such a great experience!

Erika @ Payless Furniture on Jefferson in Murrieta provided me with the worst furniture buying experience in more than 40 years. I had called in advance seeking to determine whether or not they had a particular piece of furniture. She said they have no website and there is nothing she could email to me. I had to «Come in to the store». (That should have been a warning!)
In the store it was clear from the very start that she was completely distracted even though there were 4 employees and no customers (second warning). I literally had to repeat everything several times. After 15 minutes in the store here’s what I found out. An armoire (defined as a moveable wardrobe) no longer exists except for TV sets (entertainment center???). I can have one custom built but I have to order it first and no price can be quoted until I order it. When I continued to ask questions she began to ramble in an obvious tone of annoyance about how times have changed (I’m old???) and talk over me. When I said «I don’t think you can help me», she replied «You’re right», stood up and walked away.
After reading the reviews on Unilocal it seems that, with Payless Furniture, you are taking a risk. Depending on the sales person you get your service will either be good or completely suck. For me, I don’t like gambles so I’ll NEVER go to Payless again!

Payless Furniture has it all! Great customer service, great options, and all for an awesome price!!! We were greeted and helped by Christina, the BEST SALES PROFESSIONAL I have ever encountered in a furniture store. She is not the type of person who will follow and pester you as their prey. She is very knowledgeable and informative with the designs of the furniture. She is also very approachable, genuinely friendly, and helpful. I was able to purchase a few furniture items I have been looking for, all for an awesome price. A dining set that seats 8 people, a 72′ TV stand, and a beautiful upholstered bed frame for roughly $ 2,000! I honestly would have never thought I would find something at Payless Furniture. This just reminded me to not judge a book by its cover. If you are looking for home furniture and a great person to work with, ask for Christina as she she will not disappoint you and pave the way to what you are looking for.

**As I was reading the reviews, a few have mentioned about the delivery aspect of Payless Furniture. They use a 3^rd party delivery service and unfortunately have no control of the delivery.

What a shame. Prices are decent but they need to get things together as far as communication goes.
Made a purchase on a Sunday was told delivery is Thursday $ 60 (cash… which i also was not told until today) or someone can pick up the item free… I had someone pick up… The 100lb bed was full and complete not taken apart… Um what?
Ok… So I agreed to have them deliver. I was told by Emely it would be delivered Saturday (almost 1 week after purchase) and today is Monday and I haven’t gotten a single phone call or email.
Called today and apparently they were waiting for my call? Which I already called and spoke to Emely.
I was planning on getting my 2 living room sets and a couple of queen bed frames but they just lost a customer due to their lack of communication.

Never go into this store! The person in charge Tom not only ripped me off but then threatened me when I attempted to get my money back.
Shortly after purchasing a bed, media cabinet and nightstand made by Coaster my husband and I realized our room needed more furniture so we put an additional dresser and nightstand on lay away. Unfortunately during the lay away time we realized that the furniture was NOT good quality. I called to cancel the lay away (not something normally allowed) but was told given the circumstances I could. I then went in to take care of getting my deposit returned only to see that new people had taken the store over. My paperwork was «lost» and no one could help me. I left my number and information. Fortunately I had my receipt. I never received a call back.
I returned to the store where Tom informed me that he was not going to honor my deposit. I asked if he was the owner… he said no he was the manager. When I then asked for the owner’s information he then changed his story and claimed to be a corporation. I asked for that information, he changed once again and said he was the owner and told me I needed to leave. I asked for my receipts and a business card and he told me no he would not give me one. I said for $ 250 I should at least get a business card he refused and threatened to physically remove me from his store. I reminded him that he was not to touch me or I would call the police. I took my paperwork from his hand and left. No money, no store credit, no furniture. Do NOT go there. The man is a thief and a liar.
