Murrieta Tire & Auto

Murrieta means gem of the valley and Murrieta auto and tire lives up to the name. I’m not going to go into all of the details but let’s just say Rocky, Arden and his team went above and beyond once again with my bmw. It’s places like this that are the epitome of local business. People you know and trust, fair honest pricing and they know you by name. Anybody who needs autowork, this is the first and only place you need to call.

Front brakes done and SVC on my Tundra. Good customer svc and prices r reasonable. Would recommend MTA to my friends.

MTA has taken excellent care of our cars and our truck and we have been impressed with the people that work there. They are all happy and respectful to each other as well as us. I feel like we have finally found a community vehicle care center that we have a relationship with. Thank you to Rocky, Arden, Robert, Louis and everyone there!

MTA provides great, old fashioned service. I like the fact they tell you when something will be done and it is done on time. I have found their prices to be the best in town. They are also one of the few places that can still work on older vehicles.

WORST REPAIR SHOP EVER IN HISTORY! !!! After my mother helping repair my daughters car $ 7995 later… they replaced the clutch (which was a brand new clutch 1 yr 10 months from another shop never had a problem with it) now the gears are grinding. We had a cracked engine block. They replaced with a used engine. After driving 363 miles i had ck engine light come on. They got the ok from mom to change oxygen sensor. … which 8 months earlier it had been replaced had (another shop) they told my mom it needed YET ANOTHER one. I asked Robert to please STOP calling my mom. She agreed to pay for the power steering unit plus hose, radiator brakes, rotors, struts, tires & engine. I told Robert & the girl at the front counter that I didn’t want all these repairs done & I didn’t want to be indebted to my mother for it either. But they’ve gained my mom’s confidence soo she believes them whole heartedly. Soo they continue to call my mother & she agrees to repairs (even when I personally called to deny repairs). Oh I also had a problem with my tire that they wouldn’t even look at, thank you I found a great tire shop that I feel comfortable going to. Now with my ck engine light on yet AGAIN, squeaky going over bumps & the gears grinding they asked me never to come back or bring my vehicle back… did I mention the work SUPPOSEDLY has year warranty per their contract? ?!! I will tell everyone in my path not to get screwed as we have. Thanks MTA for ALL YOUR REPAIRS THAT YOU HAVE PREFORMED & left us with NO WARRANTY.

Honest. Dependable. Friendly. Knowledgable. What more could you ask from an auto shop? If your vehicle needs anything from a new taillight to a new engine, these are your guys. If you are on the fence about it, just do it. These guys do quality work that they can/​do/​will stand behind.

I would highly recommend this shop very friendly and good atmosphere. On top I got tires $ 80 under what other places were asking for two fronts my alignment was spot on and all of there work was flawless.

I have been going to Murrieta tire and auto for about a year now with multiple work trucks. For me the location is very convenient, but above that I really appreciate the staff at MTA for the honesty, patience and understanding they always show. The service is top notch and the pricing seems really fair to me. I recommend MTA to all my friends.

I have gone to Murrieta Auto and Tire for years. Rocky is the most friendly and honest small business person I know. They are reliable and cost less than any other repair shop and they stand behind all their repair work! All work is always done in a timely manner. They are the best!

Simply put this is the best shop around. Never met a more honest and trustworthy mechanic shop, both in the office and in the garage. They’ve done major and minor work on my vehicles and I couldn’t be happier. On my last major service it took longer than anticipated so Rocky paid for my entire car rental during the rapid to my truck. I’ll never go to another shop.

It’s been almost 4 months since my last service here — and it was a big one. My son and I were on our way to a baseball tournament in San Diego when we exited the freeway and were stopped at the light — tick, tick, tick, tick uh oh! Maybe it’s just transitional (no pun intended). We take off, up a hill and more tick, tick, tick, but it’s speeding up now in time with the RPM. This is not good! Must be a fuel injector, or coil, or oh my gosh!
Several weeks go by and it ain’t gettin’ better. I’m gonna have to do something about it. More weeks, «Hey Dad, you still haven’t figured out what’s making that noise?» Ok, I guess it’s time.
Hey Rocky and Arden, I got a ‘noise’. It’s probably something simple but I need you guys to look at it.
Drop it off, get a rental, and then. .. get the call. The noise is coming from your transmission! Ouch! We’re going to do some more troubleshooting and will call you back.
Get the call, your tranny is shot. Ok, I get it! 172,000 miles. I guess it’s time. So now what?
Arden spent much effort giving me options. She came up with four; each with different price points. You know, I just want you to pull it, send it to the tranny shop, and put it back in. «Ok, we can do that. I’ll call you back with a price range.»
The price was dependent on the shop that pulls it apart and what they find when they do that. I understand that and the price range was in accordance with the level of damage to be found. Arden gave me the avg for a tranny like mine and as it turns out, that’s what happened. The shop they used did a good job and even made some upgrades to components over what the factory used; and have historically been a problem on my car.
It took about a week and now I have a new transmission with the same case serial number that came with the car.
One month later (Oct)
I’ve noticed my a/​c condenser is really making a lot of water that is dripping on the garage floor. A couple of days go by and I realize that it hasn’t dried up yet. Uh oh! I better check it. Yep, sure enough! It’s tranny oil. Gotta call Rocky!
He says bring it in and they’ll take a look. Ok, but I have a place to be at 11:00 so we’ll need to fix it or get another rental car so I can make it to that appointment. He says, «No problem!»
It was an axle seal leaking. Not sure why or what caused it, but 2 hrs later I had a new seal and was on my way for $ 10. Not bad.
Now here’s the real kicker. When they were delivering my car after changing the tranny, the mechanic says, «Oh by the way, I changed the main seal on your engine before we put the tranny back on.» «I knew you’d want to do that while we had access to it.»
Uhh, yeah! Heck, I’d forgotten all about that. I’m sure glad he remembered to replace a $ 10 part that takes hundreds of dollars of labor just to get to it. Whew! Well, for the last 4 yrs I’ve had to add oil every time I fill up. It’s a royal pain in the arss. I just couldn’t figure out where it was going. Nothing on the garage floor. No smoke out the tail pipe. It started out being about a ¼ qt. each time but over the years it had grown to where I was adding about ¾ qt each fill up. After this main seal change, nothing. I’ve filled up at least 5 times since and nothing. No usage at all. What a relief; two birds with one stone and I didn’t even have to ask for it. I guess I’ll actually have to change my oil now; instead of in little increments each time I fill up.
Throughout this entire process Rocky and Arden were straight up with me. They didn’t try to up-​sale me anything. They were accommodating and worked hard to appease me; the freaking out need-​a-​tranny customer. It’s all good now!
