History

Established in 2012.

What started out as creating a few hooks for upcoming producers in the early 2011, has blossomed into a great niche service for producers and recording artists alike. Owned and operated by Toma «Maskerade» Johnson, Maskerade Beats & Hooks began with just 15 – 20 instrumentals for independent music artists in late 2012. By early 2014, we created over 100 instrumentals and had deals with both independent and major entertainment companies. Still going strong in 2015, Maskerade now has placements with highly recognized brands like Atlantic Records, BET, VH1, MTV, FOX TV show Empire & much more.

Maskerade is a music artist specializing in R&B and Pop music similar to Usher, Né-​Yo, and Justin Timberlake. He writes, produces, and records music for himself and other independent artists. He’s one of the few artists out there who can sing & produce his own records really well. If you like popular urban music, then you have to listen to Maskerade

In 2005 Maskerade stepped on to the scene with his incredible first studio album, Luv Iz Crazi. A year after that he followed up with an extention to that album called Prilud 2 Luv. Both of these albums did extremely well on the independent market and overseas, but goals change after you get a chance to taste what success can truely be like.

Fast forward to 2015, Maskerade is continuing to raise his recognition in the music world.
