Heritage Garage Door

So, Heritage installed my garage door 3 months ago. It recently started having issues closing. I called my home warranty company who sent out a contractor to assess the issue. The contractor, Tuff Garage, determined it was not an issue with the motor which would be covered by the warranty, but it was a balancing issue with the door itself… So I paid my 60 dollar deductible, nothing got fixed… and I called Heritage. Spoke with the owner, who assured me it could not be a balancing issue, after walking me through a few minor steps to check it, and instead pointed to the motor. So at this point I am more than a little frustrated. I called my warranty company back and demanded a second opinion. Larry Schumacher from Schumacher garage door, came out this morning, quickly determined it was in fact a balancing issue. Larry Schumacher made the adjustments and did not charge me a thing. Thank you Larry Schumacher! Heritage lost a customer!

The people that work here are complete D$&k Heads. If you want crappy customer service and rude people, go to this place.

Great customer service! Greg was a pleasure to talk to over the phone. The technician came out right on time to replace our spring and was in and out in less than a half hour. The pricing was great! Zero complaints!

We purchased a home that the previous owner had back into the existing door from inside the garage and damaged it. Heritage came out, gave us a very competitive price.
The competition had quoted a reasonable price, but told us that we needed to replace our garage door opener (which was only about 4 years old), and we would need to wait several weeks for them to get the door. Heritage told us garage door opener should be fine, had garage door available from immediate inventory. That was about 3 years ago, and everything has worked great! They showed up on time, did a great job, and we are very satisfied with the door and its installation.

Customer service is awesome, ordered 2 remotes by accident sent an email to Greg the general manager and received an e-​mail on a Sunday morning saying problem is fixed and have a great weekend. Perfect 5 star performance!

Lies and more lies!
They apparently installed my garage door and wisely placed a sticker in the garage. Spring broke — so I called. Greg called me right back. Scheduled me for Friday afternoon. Good start. And that was the last good thing.
I booked out of work early since anyone can now just push open my garage door. Friday morning I received a call that someone was sick and we’d have to reschedule. OK — it happens. I was given a choice of Saturday AM or PM. I chose PM. I was given a two hour window between 2 & 4. I was not offered 12 – 2, although that would have been more convenient for me.
So I did what I had to in the morning and while at a hospital at 12:16, I received a call from «This is your garage door tech.» He advised me he would be there at 12:30! Had I left the hospital that second, I still couldn’t be home in 14 minutes. I reminded him my appointment was set at 2 – 4 PM, and I would be there just before 2 PM.
At 12:31 I received the following text message: «This is the garage door tech, we rescheduled ur appointment for a different day.»
At 12:34 I received a call from Greg stating that the tech said that I HAD TO WORK IN THE HOSPITAL FOR THE REST OF THE DAY!!! Greg said he probably misunderstood. I told him I was very clear, he couldn’t have possibly misunderstood. He surmised that the tech was trying to get done early! Of course he was, it was a beautiful day. I would have loved to have done something fun instead of hanging out for my door to be repaired. Greg assured me the tech would be there as scheduled.
I arrived home at 1:45. When he hadn’t shown by 3;30, I tried calling the tech and Greg to no avail. I sent Greg a text message which went through (so it had to be a cell phone and not a land line).
Monday morning Greg called saying he just got my message. «He never showed?» Seriously. An apology and a suggestion that someone could come out today — but of course I was working. No offer to make good on ruining two afternoons for me, and still have a garage door that anyone could push up.
Don’t even consider called these guys.

Mike came out to my home to fix my garage door. Not only did you guys come out right away you have great prices! What meant the most to me with your visit was your trustworthy employee. Mike was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is deployed so it is always scary having someone come out. I felt safe inviting mike into my home. He has great customer service skills. Thank you very much!
