Wonderful property management company. We work with about 10 management companies and this is one of the only ones I refer my clients to because they answer their phone and have great communication. Catherine is on top of it and takes great care of her clients.

We hired DP Properties to manage our home in Temecula, which we planned to move back into. We overpaid them, because they did oversee it. The «full service» landscaper allowed plants to die or grow wild, and DP accepted them sending a picture to show they were keeping it up. Major damage was done to the laminate floors, which DP missed when a tenant moved out. Clear communication was an issue, they would not respond to specific questions in a timely manner. Overall, we lost thousands of dollars from their lack of managing.

I don’t have a lot of experience with property management companies but needed one to manage my home in Temecula when we moved north. DP Properties was our second property manager and head and shoulders above the first one but still not perfect. Communication is my main issue. Calls and emails are not always returned as promptly as I would like and this month, I was charged for a $ 300 repair on my home I’d heard nothing about. My tenants took forever to sign a renewal lease but I was never notified when it was done. I’m still not sure anyone from DP Properties has done a home inspection on my place and it’s been a year now.
Yes, they’ll collect your rent and send it to you. I like their web portal but it only provides minimal information — for example, the recent repair on my place isn’t there although the amount paid to the handyman is. They charge more than my last property manager but he was a jerk who lied to us so I was willing to pay more. Not sure there are better choices out there, but do your own due diligence.

They did an excellent job managing my house in Temecula. Great communication. They also gave me updates on the real estate market there and represented the home when I sold it.

I rented out a condo from this property for 1 year in Escondido CA. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Claudine the owner would show up every month uninvited to the house and walk around the property. Considering my husband was active duty military at the time and when we moved out we had a $ 1500 deposit not given back to us on top of a $ 400 pet deposit. They ripped all the grass up and charged us for replacing it with sod and the water bill for us. Who charges $ 200 for putting new batteries in a smoke detector??? Ridiculous. And Amanda who works in the office is extremely rude and doesn’t return phone calls. She would hang up on me and was very unprofessional. I have rented through some amazing companies and this is not one of them. Please don’t rent through Dp Properties, they will take anything they can from you and you will have NO privacy. I’m very upset that they overcharged on everything and we didn’t receive any of our deposit back. We took very good care of our yard and they decided they wanted to replace the grass with sod and that in itself cost a lot of money.

I have rented from them for 2 years, and was told that the owner would be out of the country for 3 years or more & if they did come back, they would not force us to vacate.
Well, 2 years later we get the notice to vacate in 60 days as the owner is moving back into the house. This puts our family in a bind — Given that it’s a renter’s market at the moment, we have been up against 40+ applicants for properties that accommodate both our incomes and fit our personal preference/​needs. Yes, our lease was up in 30 days but we found a home that perfectly fit us and asked to move out a little early, a month early to be exact. Immediate response was no and legal contract was used against us. (I understand contracts, but it did hurt to attempt and ask). Supposedly, the owner was asked but I highly doubt this is the case. I think it was more of a automatic no to please their owner and throw their renter out.
The worst part about it is, we were told that we would be helped in searching for a new home. I went about finding my own place by emailing ads on Zillow & CL — one of them being a DP Properties-​managed home, as the owner was the one who responded to my email. I forwarded my complaint with the lack of help we’ve gotten — and got an oblivious response from the property manager that they had no knowledge of that property. Lack of communication.
The entire time we’ve lived in one of their properties, we never heard from them other than marketing emails to promote their business. I would recommend that they take the time to care for their clients both renters and owners a bit more hands on rather than appearing with a lease agreement and being quick to push their renters out.
Their customer service and relations are disappointing. I wish the best for their future renters — please do your best to look elsewhere first before settling.

Don’t believe the 5 star «reviews». This agency is unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Dp has cause me to move out prematurely because of not being considerate in diligence in answering questions concerning relation with property owner and renters

We are a military family who needed to rent out our home. We had orders overseas and were looking for a trust worthy property manager. DP Properties has been managing our home since 2009. I haven’t had too many issues with them. The rent is deposited on time. The application process for tenants is great. They contact you immediately with any concerns. The only complaint I would have are the replies from either Catherine or the staff. They seem to take a while to get back to you for any information you may need. Unless, they need any information from you. They are on you constantly. I would recommend this company if you are completely hands off. As a homeowner you need to know your home is in good hands. I had to keep asking for monthly statements when I first started with them. It took me a while to get used to it. This made me re-​evaluate my choice of property management, but once overseas my hands were tied. The customer service has now improved. Only wish they would conduct frequent walk-​throughs other than the yearly ones they do now. Besides these minor issues, I would highly recommend this property manager.

Very unprofessional, low work ethic, Tried to get a house rented — That I liked, Very hard to get in touch with them, you talk to a different person every day (management). Horrible communication, could only use phone texting for communication. I thought this was a business?
Beware of the «Bait and switch», There property pricing is different from advertising to when you go look at the place. They claim, «They only listed through one place» yet all the listings with lower rent prices are listed through DP Properties… I don’t get how they could be in business, if they operate this way?
And after reading all of there reviews, This is probably the first real one…

Dp Properties is fantastic! The don’t just sit back and collect rent, the actively manage a property by working with both the renters and the home owners and provide a great experience!

I was looking for a home in Hemet, CA. I turned in all of the proper paperwork on time. In the middle of the application I flew to Ohio to get my boys from summer vacation. I told both Catherine as well as Nicole. I received a call from Catherine stating that I was approved for the house. I was in Las Vegas having a layover flight. But I returned the call with excitement, sent an email as well. The following day I called Catherine as well as Nicole again. I was told that Catherine’s Bluetooth was having a malfunction and she would return my call. I sent emails, text messages, and made phone calls. Nothing. The following day I was told that another application was approved an I was being denied. Very unprofessional to tell one person you have been approved and give the house to someone else. I was told because the other applicant has a credit score if 800!

I’ve used DP Property’s since 2005 and had wonderful experience! Prior to Catherine I interview 4 other Property company’s and Catherine is hands down the best! She did a great job on getting my tenets in and background checks completed. The Professionalism and communication was a big plus in my book. I’ve already referred DP Property’s to friends and workers for there services. There was no surprises in my process, highly recommend this company!
