Clear Valley Pool And Spa

This guy Brian was supposed to come to my house and inspect and repair my pool heater. He does work for Dolphin Pools in Lake Elsinore. Here’s the problem. Brian called said he’d be over in the afternoon. Never gave an exact time. He called around 3:00 p.m. said he’s running behind and should be over around 5:00 p.m.
Well 5:00 p.m. came and went, so I called at 6:15p.m.
Brian answered said he came by my house and fixed my heater said he spoke with my daughter? ??? She’s 2yrs old doesn’t talk even talk yet. As I was confirming his info I was getting more upset by the second! ! After a minute on the phone Brian hung up on me!
Save yourself the aggravation and bullshit don’t have this guy do shit for you! Oh by the way this job is worth $ 2,000.00 and just wasn’t worth his trouble, so I will be calling another pool company with awesome reviews. The realtor I used called this fool to do the work on my pool, not me! Trust me I let everyone know how unhappy and unprofessional this company really is!

I am very disappointed in this company (Clear Valley Pool and Spa). Brian the owner has been my pool guy for the last 4 months. My pump went out one day and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong. We called Brian he came out looked at our pump and told me it was the pump and it needed to be replaced he told me I could upgrade with an energy efficient pump that would cost roughly $ 1400. He also told me the pump we had would not work if we were planning on going solar and we would have to upgrade to the $ 1400 system. He did say that since I had a home warranty to go through them, advise them I wanted Clear Valley to do the work and to speak to a supervisor to get them to do the work and he would use the money toward fixing the old pump towards the new energy efficient pump. I spoke to my home warranty who sent out another company because they can not go with who we wanted for diagnoses but if we wanted him after they diagnosed that would not be a problem as long as my pool guy was on their list of contractors (blessing in disguise). The other company came out and had the problem fixed in five minutes. No pump replacement needed. To make matters worse Clear Valley pool cleaner came out the same day. I heard my dogs go crazy I looked outside watched him go to the pool step with his skimmer and start skimming. I then went to find my shoes so I could go outside and speak with him. By the time I fetched my shoes and went outside. The employee was gone. I looked out the front door and saw him drive off. I looked at the clock it was 10:16 when he arrived and it was 10:21 when he was driving off. I pay once a month for 5 minutes a week only to skim by the step!
Brian then told my husband he did not tell me the pump was bad! I am Very disappointing to say the least.

I needed some assistance with my Pentair pump so I went to Pentairs website where they recommended this company (unfortunately). I am forced to give them one star as that is the minimum rating — I would like to give a lower rating but that is not possible on Unilocal.The story — got the phone number from the website and called and got someone named Bryan — his first question to me was «how did you get my number» he acted like I was bothering him. I explained what I needed and made an appointment with him for Friday June 6^th between 11:30 to 12 noon. He said he would call an hour before to let me know that he was on his way. At 1:45 pm I called him to see what happened (as I had waited in all morning for him) he then told me that it was my fault as he had told me he would be here between 12 noon and 3PM. Ok I said when will you be here and he said at approx 2:30! That was the last I heard of him he never showed up or even called to say he had a problem. On my side I ended up waiting for him most of the day and not getting anything else done that I needed to. I will not call him ever again!

Based on the below response, I decided to go with Flamingo Pool Repair in Murrieta, CA (He was great, helpful, and answered all my questions and will be installing the Pentair Pump that he recommended). There was NO «phishing» — I contacted the nearest Pentair retailers listed on the
dealer locator and asked which pump they recommended and for a quote.

Clear Valley Pool & Spa is horrible! I was assigned this contractor through my Home Warranty company. Bryan (the Owner) likes to point out all the reasons why its your fault the pool equipment isn’t working. I’ve had to have him return numerous times to fix the same issue.
Most recently, my salt cell stopped working. After multiple calls, he finally showed up and installed a salt cell. The new salt cell was malfunctioning, so I called Bryan. his remedy was «add more salt», after 8 bags, it finally started working. After 4 months it started malfunctioning again, I called hayward, they asked what model cell I had, I told them it was a T-​9. Hayward informed me the T-​9 will not work with Aqualogic, BRYAN INSTALLED THE WRONG CELL.
I called Bryan and told him, his response was «I put on a T-​15, a T-​9 wont work with my system» (No Duh, Thats why it malfunctioned in the begining).
I told him, I watched him install it. He than began to tell me that people all the time steal salt cells (and replace them with new T-​9 cells? RIGHT).
In conclusion: BUYER BEWARE! THIS GUY REFUSED TO MAKE IT RIGHT.
PROVE IT — is not a response a homeower wants to hear when a contractor makes a mistake.
