Our office provides complete eye care for both adults and children. Our eye doctors do a comprehensive eye examination. We will check your eyes inside and out for any potential eye disorders or diseases. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and appropriate treatment is prescribed, whether it’s medication, lenses, or vision therapy. We specialize in hard-​to-​fit contact lenses. We can accomplish this with the latest toric lens available or with a hybrid lens called Duette by Synergeyes. We are prepared to handle whatever your eyecare needs are, and will treat them with the latest in diagnostic equipment and are committed to keeping up with eye care technology.

We have been in the full service optometry business for over 20 years here in the Temecula valley. We offer all our patients a level of customer service that is like none other they have received. Dr Scott Lewis is the most caring optometrist in the valley. He is in the business of solving problems. He works tirelessly on dry eye issues, macular degeneration education, glaucoma, and of course prescription eye glasses. He is considered a visionary among his peers. We are one of the only offices in the area that fit the Synergeyes Duett contact lens. The Duette is a hybrid lens that offers superior visual acuity of a hard contact lens with the comfort of a soft lens. Dr Lewis and his wife, Gay, love their 3 «kids», Bruce, Zoe, and George. Since Zoe, their female English Bulldog, is such a beauty, they have decided to show her. She just completed her year of competition and now has attained her champion status.

I got a pair of glasses back in August of 2015. Ive been here 4 times because the frame I got kept breaking and scratching and their «lab» has ruined my glasses each time. So today finally 2⁄17 I got a brand new frame and lends thanks to their warranty. But the frame they sent me looks like a elephant sat on it. Luckily they bent them back but huge inconvenience.
Probably won’t be back unless they change labs or my warranty needs me here.

I took my 7 year old daughter to get her eyes checked out, the staff was great. Working with a 7 year old and telling them to try and keep their eye open can sometimes be difficult but not for this staff. My daughter will be getting new reading glasses and we are both excited the selection was amazing to choose from. I will be scheduling eye appointments for my other children and myself soon!

I just returned from my very first visit with California Oaks Vision Center of Optometry and to say I am impressed does not come close to describing how thankful I am to have found Dr. Lewis and his staff. My experience began at the front desk, where I was welcomed in a friendly, professional manner. Even though, every one was busy, they did not act rushed or make me feel like I was a bother. Which, unfortunately, can be the norm in many medical practices today. The next step was meeting Christian, Dr. Lewis’ assistant and, as impossible as it sounds, it only got better. I was sure that the doctor would wiz in and out after the extensive care I had already received from Christian — but I was wrong. Dr. Lewis took the time to get to know me, help me understand my unique set of circumstances and basically made me feel like I was important enough to receive good care. I have had glasses for 53 years and work in a field that makes me very aware of what a doctor and staff should or shouldn’t be. In this case, this office sets the standard. Each member of COVC’S team go above and beyond. My final surprise was the bill. I was certain that all of this care and time would break the bank, and I would be doing some major overtime to make up for it — lol. Not the case, in fact this office beats those in store clinics in price and care, especially when you consider the time that they spend on your vision needs. I will never undervalue myself again, by going to a store or mall based vision center. I intend to be a patient for the rest of my years and will make sure my entire family considers doing the same.

I love this place. So fancy yet prices are more reasonable than I’m used to. I have gotten contacts for myself and glasses for my son. All of the staff are professional and caring. They offer a coffee and tea bar while you wait. They have a machine that will scan your eyes rather than having to get them dialated.

So I came here recommended by a friend, who had an entirely different experience then me. I’ve had contacts since I was 10. This was my first time coming here. Have a new vision insurance, same as my friend and he paid nothing so I was expecting the same, or little out of pocket for a check up. They did not carry my brand, acuvue oasys, a common brand, so sent me home with an alternative. Go to leave and I wind up having to pay 100 for the contact exam. Even without insurance I’ve never paid that much for a contact exam. I left irritated. They wanted me to come back in a week, in my many years of contacts haven’t had to do that, so I didn’t go back. Plus I get my contacts from 1800 contacts or wal Mart anyways so decided to order my contacts when I am ready. So two months later I am out of contacts, I go to order contacts, tell them where to get my prescription. Apparently I don’t have a prescription, not sure what I paid 100 for then? They want me to come back and pay 49 $ to give me a prescription. What did I pay for? Went somewhere else and they called my insurance, said I can’t go somewhere else under my insurance for a year. But where is my prescription? I didn’t know it was legal to pay for a service and not get a service rendered. This business seems more interested in money above anything else. Will never return.

Please beware of this facility. I thought I would give this facility a chance after reading the great reviews. Well, lets just say after last night, I wont be going back. After spending 3 weeks with the dr. trying to find the perfect contacts for my vision needs, we finally found the perfect rx. for my eyes. I went in to place my contact order and thought we were all good but the eye dr. failed to document what contacts she gave me! Are you kidding me??? We spent 1.5 hrs. trying different contacts of what she thought they might be… my eyes were killing me so tired and sore and I was so pissed. I told the dr. she was very unprofessional and i was very disappointed as a new patient. I also told her she needs to be better trained for her job. This is ridiculous. She can’t tell me what she gave me so I have no idea what my «awesome fit» contacts are… please be careful.

Okay so let me start to say expect to pay on the high end. Very high end and secondary Customer Beware when signing up for Vision Therapy for you child.
I did a session for 12 weeks which was $ 1,500. I like many parent was concerned for my child and yes they prey on that desperation. I did not agree to a second 2nd or 3rd series. They will milk it for all they can believe me. So we are talking $ 3000 and up for vision therapy for you child. You start to wonder when they send memory games for your child which you can purchase the same game on Amazon for $ 10.00 bucks.
They continued to charge me for sessions my child did not even agree or go to.
I did not sign up for that did they tell you at the first series there might be 2 or 3 or even four series which we are talking in the thousands. I have filed a formal complaint Vision Center and speaking with my legal adviser. I don’t understand how they can charge you for services you did not even get. Parent Caution.

FYI, before all the tests they have you sign a form $ 10 for a certain eye scan required for each patient. The scan is of the back of the eye and seeing anything wrong. It’s pretty cool!
They moved to a new location and it is beautiful! It’s in a lonely little plaza on the corner of Jefferson Ave and Kalmia. They should’ve made the front sign more distinguishable, not just «Optometry.» Once you open the doors you see the familiar «California Oaks Vision Center» (with the tree) on the left door.
Feast your eyes on their newly designed office which makes you say, «wow, look what you’ve done with the place!» Nice décor. Nice display of a variety of glasses. Comfy seats while you wait.
Their rooms are the same set up as the previous location. They ask for any changes in health, vision, medication, signs and symptoms etc then they perform the tests. They’re very patient and take the time to make sure the results are the best.
I wear usually wear contacts and glasses when I’m lazy. If you need an adjustment with your frames they make sure that it’s exactly how you want them.
Overall my experiences here have been great. Nice and friendly staff, helpful, and professional. Will be back… next year.

I was so delighted to see a place in Murrieta that does vision therapy. I took my daughter here for 6 months for therapy. Dr. Elton is very kind and through. Nancy, the therapist, made quick friends with my shy little one. My daughter looked forward to going each week so she could see Nancy.
My only negitive is I had quite a few calls never returned, despite me being told I would get a return call in 24 hours. Two separate times I had to call back three times to get a hold of the person I needed to speak with.
However, they have top notch equipment and an extensive selection of adult frames. They have childrens frames as well. The staff is all very warm and friendly. They also always have fresh coffee and tea. I recommend them very highly if you need vision therapy.

And on top of all that I’m never there a crazy amount of time. Those reasons alone will keep me loyal to this establishments for years:)

I’ve been to this office twice and HATED both experience. After my second visit, i completely felt ripped off and lied to!
Doctor is great and informative however during my two visits, staff members continues to interrupt my exam by entering rudely and asking questions like, «did you sign off», «where is this». Some staff appears friendly, a few just had attitude and didn’t care to hide it.
So how did i get ripped off? I had a medical visit and was told to come back for a follow up. Before i made the appt to come back, i asked if there is an additional copay on my next visit. they said, «i don’t think so but i’ll check». after fumbling back and forth, she said no, you won’t have a copay for follow up, only if you come back a third time for the same thing. I said okay! so after my follow up visit she asked for $ 35. i said i was told there is no charge for this visit. she explained to me that there is a copay for every visit unless i was a cash patient then it would be $ 99 and the follow up is included. so i paid $ 70 which is pretty much close to cash price. What a joke! She informed me that if I do not pay then she will bill the insurance and I would get a bill in the mail anyways. I should had told her to bill the ins so I can dispute it! If i would have known this, I would not have come for the follow up cause my case was just a bad case of dry eyes and i already can tell it was getting better. so i threw time and money away just because she thinks money grows on tree!
THIS OFFICE WILL LIE AND HIDE THINGS FROM YOU JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY. NON-​HONEST AND TRICKY BUSINESS! STAY AWAY WILL BE BEST!

I think our doctor here was the bomb… this place should score a 5 but it’s another case of crappy customer service. AGAIN! I swear… people that own businesses would do well to invest a little time and money into training their staff in how to keep from pissing paying customers off.
We were pretty satisfied with our doctor… who is the owner. But public be warned: You’re going to be asked to an extra $ 10 per person in your family for a special eye scan. For some reason you don’t get told this before your appointment… or when they call you about your insurance. You don’t get told until you show up. Unfortunately we had to be embarrassed and stand there and tell everyone we couldn’t afford the extra charge and just didn’t want the extra scan. Turns out they do the scan whether you pay or not. So they really don’t need to embarrass you. It would have been nice to have been warned about this extra scan and charge… since you do it if we pay or not, why not mention it up front?
So…when it comes time to pick up our glasses this blonde lady takes care of us. We got our glasses fitted and then let her know we want to get some sunglasses and we’d like to get started. Blonde Lady then tells us that she’ll continue helping us AFTER she assists the customer that came in AFTER US. HUH??? Wait… we got there first, and you were helping us first… but you’re going to STOP helping us, make us WAIT, while you go help a customer that came in AFTER us right? That makes TONS of sense! OMGOSH! I been assisting people wrong ALL THIS TIME!!! All the Customer Service training I’ve had goes totally against this! Idiot.
Needless to say… we left… went up the road and got our sunglasses ordered. Make sure you ask to have Claudia wait on you when you come here ~ she helped us when we were selecting frames and was a really nice lady. Blondie Lady is a bit whacked and doesn’t understand that you finish waiting on one person and THEN move on to the next customer.

Horrible customer service… I had to walk out of my check up appointment because I was already there for an hour without seeing a doctor — no word when the doctor would be coming or apologies for taking so long — don’t go unless you have tons of time to waste
