Living in Murrell’s Inlet, I’ve found this to be my favorite restaurant. Food and service is always excellent! I have asked many out of town friends to join me here and they have loved it too. Have never had a bad experience or bad food. Driftwoods has been #1 for me since my mother introduced it to me years ago. Love it.

Holy crap! A gem. We arrived at our destination and I was a little thrown off by the approach. We walked in and the staff were very nice and quick to seat us. THEFOODWASAMAZING! Very surprised at how the food came out. Between the four of us we had a Ribeye, Filet mignon, crab legs and a burger. All were prepared perfectly. The prices were amazing as well. We will definitely return!

Come during the week if you can! They have an all you can eat crab and shrimp dinner that is the best bang for your buck! I think it was $ 26.99 with hushpuppies, salad and 2 sides. There were a few ways to have your shrimp cooked and the crab was great! The hushpuppies were, blah. They just tasted like oil. Nice house salad with quite a few options for dressing. Our group all opted for the fried shrimp. I didn’t even touch one tho, I was too busy chowing down on some crab! Our server brought out 2 sets of legs for each person. We were not even half way done and she was asking for seconds. We thought it would take a while so we said yes. They came out in just a few moments piping hot! Our server was very nice. We went on a week night and there was still a 20 min wait. You can tell it is a place loved by locals. It was off the beaten path from where we were staying, but well worth the drive!

Went there Saturday August 22nd. Very good — I enjoyed the seafood platter. My father-in-law had a NY Strip and said it was great. Good service and good value. I’ll be back.

A family-style seafood restaurant. Only having eaten here once, I am curious to try it again to see what other items they have on the menu. We ordered the Driftwood Platter for Two which came with shrimp, oysters, scallops, deviled crab, flounder and clam strips. What surprised us though is that everything on the platter was deep fried! It wasn’t labeled as «fried» so we didn’t expect that and limited what we truly wanted to eat from the dish. Not to say that deep frying all that food won’t make it delicious, the food was perfectly fried and not greasy at all, but I had never had deep fried clams and when you don’t clarify that I was expecting a much different feel than what we received. It also took the color palette out of the dish, leaving us with a large pile of breaded fish and crustaceans! They do start you off with a bowl of some banging hush-puppies that I could not get enough of, served with some sort of tuna maybe cream cheese mixture that was to die for! Enter the atmosphere was very quiet and quaint very family oriented and seem to have a fairly friendly staff moving about, taking orders, and covering the tables. The wait time wasn’t too bad only about 15 minutes, and they have one of the electronic beeper devices letting you know when your table is ready so you can wander around to different areas in the shopping center while you wait for your table to be ready. The tables and utensils were nothing fancy by any means, but they kept everything very tidy and clean. There menu offers a variety of items for seafood lovers and each plate is going to come out with an abundance of delectable marine life that would rival any buffet you may find nearby.

The food here was good and the prices are really good for what you get. We had She Crab soup, broiled flounder, scallops and deviled crab. Everything tasted really good. One note — if you’re from the north keep in mind the south has a different version of deviled crab. It’s basically stuffing with, maybe a little crab. The only downside was we waited a long time(45 min.) for our food from the time we ordered. The waitress said there was a glitch with their computer system. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again in the future.

Party of 14. Showed up and demolished the all u can eat crab legs and not a single complaint. Variety, quality and price were all perfect. Smoked tuna dip needs to be a sandwich option. Call ahead and enjoy the rest. I’ll be back this week.

Came here while visiting family in the area. This place is awesome and the staff is so nice! They took the time to stop and actually sit and talk to my son who is 3 but still keep everything rolling while doing so. Very great for kids. The food is amazing too! I got the butterfly shrimp and the sauce they put on it is the best shrimp I’ve had EVER! Will definitely keep coming back!

Got the all you can eat crab legs and shrimp(Sunday-Thurs, $ 26). Shrimp was okay. The crab legs were very good. The waitress was very nice. So far this is the best place we’ve found at Myrtle Beach for crab legs. We would go back again for the crab legs.

Best place to go for all you can eat crab legs! Get away from the germ filled all you can eat buffets and try this place just once, and you’ll see. The seafood platter for 2 should actually be for 3 – 4. Its alot of food!

Crab legs were good, everything else was actually pretty bad. Sides were tasteless. Fried shrimp were about the size of okra. $ 75 for two people. No thanks. Seriously though… what else do I have to say for this to qualify as a review rather than a tip? Where can I review Unilocal?!lol.

A great place to have some good food and a relaxed atmosphere. This is off the beaten path for tourists and very popular with locals. I’ve been here twice and both times the food was good. I can’t say there were any culinary masterpieces; however, the sea food was fresh and the filet mignon I had was delicious and cooked perfectly. I’m not a fan of hush puppies but they were actually good. We enjoyed the smoked tuna dip they provide and my husband truly enjoyed his seafood platter. The atmosphere is tables and some booths and a nice bar. Absolutely nothing fancy and a little noisy when crowded but I definitely recommend it for a good meal at a reasonable price.

Um wow. Best all you can eat crab legs and shrimp deal ever. We used to go to Crabby Mike’s every year but it’s way better here. No lame buffet bar, they bring it right to your table, and every person gets their own bowl of butter. We had a large party, so I called the day before and even though they can’t really guarantee tables, they still took our name down and they were ready for us when we got there. Some of us got the all you can eat crab and shrimp for 24.99(the deal runs from Sunday to Thursday every week). Others got stuffed chicken or fish. Everyone left full and happy, and we were just thrilled with our waitress. She was so fiesty and fun. We even got her to take a picture with us when we were done. I’m gonna say that was probably the best service I’ve ever had, especially for how many people we had in our party. Drinks were taken care of in a timely fashion, no request was forgotten, no side dish confused for another. So ask for Mary Ann if she’s still there. The crab itself was so high quality and cooked to perfection. It was awesome. :) I think we’ll make Driftwood’s a yearly thing when we come down to Myrtle.

One of the best on the Grand Strand! From the free hush puppies & free smoked crab dip to the wonderful service, this place is awesome! We enjoyed everything we tried but, my favorite two things were the Stuffed Mushroom app & the Fried Scallops. These mushrooms weren’t your run of the mill stuffed mushrooms, they were huge mushroom caps stuffed with deviled crab then deep fried and served with house made ranch. Yummy goodness! As for the Fried Scallops, they melted in my mouth like butter. They would make Chef Ramsey proud anyday and we all know how picky he is about scallops! On top of these wonderful dishes, the waitress was on top of her game, quick & full of personality. Overall, a trip to the beach requires a trip to Driftwood. We will be back!

This is a nice little local restaurant, tucked away from the tourists with fresh, home cooking. My family had a large assortment of what was on the menu, from fillet mignon, prime rib to seafood Everything was just delicious, as the food was so good, we ate off each others plates. On each table a smokey tuna dip and crackers are placed. It tastes ok, with a strong fishy aftertaste. I just can’t seem to get used to it. That aside, this restaurant has Donna, the nicest waitress. She just can’t do enough for you. What an asset to the business. Although I don’t drink, they do have a bar. This restaurant has plenty of parking and easily accommodates family dinners and parties. I love going here.
