I have been going to PC Laptops since it was Totally Awesome Computers, almost 15 years ago! PC Laptops has done a great job building my desktops and I appreciate the lifetime parts and service that came with my most recent one. My desktop recently initiated its own upgrade to Windows 10 and subsequently stopped booting. I took it into PC Laptops in the morning to get it fixed and have them roll it back to Windows 7. The guy who helped me was very adamant about getting me to upgrade my hard drive, and in my opinion he was a little arrogant in answering my questions about some of the options I had. I could tell he really wanted me to upgrade even though that wasn’t best for my situation. After assuring him that I just wanted it to function like it did prior to the upgrade, they got my computer fixed quickly, in fact, by the end of the day! I was really happy with that, and everyone else I dealt with throughout the process was very pleasant.

I went to PC Laptops recently to have data recovered from a failing hard drive. Instead of immediately setting up the services I wanted, I got the hard-​sell for some majorly overpriced replacement desktops ($ 1700/​$ 2400). During our discussion, he quoted me a price of $ 149. After I declined to purchase a new computer, the price suddenly jumped to $ 249. I called him on the increase, and he said, «Sorry, I’m new.» (His business card was on the counter, so I doubt that.) I asked to talk to his manager, since he said he was new, and this was very important to me.
When the manager (Xander) came to the counter, it was a totally different story. He was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. He immediately tested my drive, and determined that data could be recovered. He quoted me $ 99, and wrote up the service ticket.
They called the next day, and reported they recovered as much data as they could. I’m grateful to have my data back. Unfortunately, after the bold-​face lies and used-​car-​salesmanship, I’ll never go back. I recommend you don’t, either. If you do, keep your guard up, and deal with Xander.

Best place to take a laptop for repairs – they know what they’re doing. Fair prices and decent work order time. Parking is hellish.

I purchased a computer ($ 2400) from PC Laptops. My computer kept logging onto a public network. As a result my personal information was hacked into. I took my computer to PC Laptops 3 times (they had it for a week each time), they were not able to fix this problem. They suggested I trade in my computer and more money and get another PC Laptop computer. NO THANKS. Now i don’t have a computer and they do not want to give me any money for my computer.

BOTTOM LINE: I OVER PAID FOR A PC LAPTOP COMPUTER THINKING THEY WOULD/​COULD FIX ANY COMPUTER PROBLEMS. THEIR SOLUTION TRADE IN MY PC LAPTOP COMPUTER AND I PAY THEM MORE MONEY: (

You’ve seen the commercials, you’ve seen the billboards, you’ve got their tagline in your head (We loooovvve yooouu in case you forgot) but have you actually gone into one of their stores? If not, you’re in for an awesome experience! When you first walk in, you get greeted by everyone, like a rockstar. The glowing lights from the computers, good tunes in the background and even the subtle fragrance adds to the exceptional experience.
But none of this matters if the computers are crap… and they’re not. They have experts putting the RIGHT components together and are quality checked along the entire building process. No more cut hands, no more playing the mix and match experiment game, it’s so worth having these guys do it.
In the event that something goes wrong or I’m not happy, even years down the road, I know I will be taken care of. Their tech guys truly do know what they’re doing and have lots of experience under their belts.
You get the benefits that only a company of this size can provide yet still be treated like a valued customer in a small shop.

Merchants in the service industry should closely examine PC Laptops customer-​service model; because I’ve never experienced better! Not at a 5-​star hotel, restaurant, or spa, etcetera.
The training the PC Laptops employees get must be fantastic, because they treat patrons very well!
Recently, my relatively-​new Toshiba Laptop had an accident, and needed to have the screen replaced.
The replacement wasn’t covered under a warranty. And Toshiba quoted me a price of: $ 400+ to replace the screen!
I took my laptop to PC Laptops, & was bowled over by the customer service I received!
The moment I walked in the door, I was met by several PC Laptop employees, all eager to help me. I was offered a cold beverage. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I could hardly believe I was in a computer store! It was wonderful.
The SAME DAY that I dropped my laptop off, I received a phone call from PC Laptops with an estimate for the repair. And it was a fraction of the cost that Toshiba had quoted! In addition to the repair, PC Laptops also went over my laptop with a fine-​tooth comb & made sure it was functioning optimally.
PC Laptops had to order-​in the part for my laptop. Even though it had to be shipped, it still took less than a week for everything to be completed!
Shane was my contact at PC Laptops, and he was the epitome of genuine customer service! He made sure that I always knew the status of my repair. And he even checked with me, after I had my laptop back, to make sure that everything was satisfactory.
I think it is commendable that the PC Laptop employees appear to be enabled to use their resources to do whatever necessary to make things right with their clients.
And if you don’t care as much about customer service as I do… Then the fact that PC Laptops is competitively-​priced should be enough reason, to give them business.
They certainly have mine. Forever.

Friends usually come to us when they have computer problems but if it too complicated, PC Laptops is where we go. This time, my friend’s son dropped the laptop and the frame around the screen started to warp.
My friend went to Best Buy for help and they told her it will cost her $ 260 to fix it. Eventually, she came to me and I took her to PC Laptops. They were very friendly, gave her an estimate that is way cheaper than what Best Buy going to charge her, and they will call her soon after it is done.
Less than a week, my friend received her laptop back. the frame looked like brand new and she loved it!

So, it was a Sunday night at 9pm and I was at a friends place studying for an exam. I was having some computer/​internet issues, so I gave Dan the PC Laptop Man a call. (anybody that is from Utah knows that Sunday is a hard day to get business done out here) He got a hold of one of his employees to get a hold of me. Because my laptop was unable to connect to the internet, Joe (employee) had to fix my laptop through the phone instead of remote access. About an hour later, he was able to fix the problem and was finally able to remote access my laptop to check everything. I was then able to study again
I’m so thankful for these guys. They are ready to help ²⁴⁄₇ and wherever you are. I would highly recommend them for your computer problems.

Danny and the team put in the work to get issue resolved. Using laptop as we speak running better than ever.

Edit– High up people of this business contacted me about a day or two after posting my original review. They were very willing to make sure you’re happy, which is a huge + in my book. Anyone willing to go out of their way to save business. Despite my experience, I understand that one person doesn’t represent a whole business or company. PC laptops is hooking me up with some upgrades to either my desktop or laptop of choice. I dont really need them but its the gesture that counts! Respect goes a long way. My original experience is still below. I’ve since switched my rating to 5 stars! Thank you Shane!
I brought in a power circuit board to be replaced because I fried a hard drive. I thoroughly explained my story. Even consulting amongst themselves, no one thought to tell me that I needed a bios chip soldered onto the new board. The knowledge is non existent. I wish I bought the tool myself.
$ 45 just to have that done. And sure I get that businesses have things to do but do I really have to wait like a day or two just so you could do a 1 minute screw job?
I took my business elsewhere and they even did the soldering for cheaper than that.

Be prepared to deal with the fact that pricing information is not available on the web site. If you call in, you will wade through an automated phone system and eventually reach a receptionist who will want your contact info so that someone can call you back, just in case you have time to wait around for a call.
