Get Some Guns & Ammo

One of the best places for a wide range of guns to buy from pistols to ar15 to shotguns to 22lr I’ve been buying all my guns here for a couple years and shooting on my lunch breaks it’s a good all around place that answers all my questions and finds parts for gun builds that makes my life 10 times easier and there customer service is unbeatable I know if my wife swings by to buy or have a question answered she always leaves getting what she was there and there is no egos involved !!

Despite rating only three stars and some negative reviews, I decided to come here with my two sons who are 15 and 9 years old to rent some guns and shoot as much as we wanted before breaking for lunch.
We arrived at opening time which is 10:00 am to get ahead of a busy time if necessary.
I first want to say that ALL three associates who assisted us were very friendly, helpful, and informative.
Safety is a large concern here like the way which I was taught in Small Arms training.
I would suspect that any bad reviews of this place is from impatient customers who were there at an extremely busy time where the associates time had to be divided among all those in the store.
My 9 year old had never used a firearm before and was a little intimidated at first but they were concerned to find something that he could enjoy.
I don’t own any guns but have been trained to use them for my profession.
They set us up with an unlimited gun rental flat rate but we purchased ammo at their store.
Hearing and eyewear protection was provided.
Overall we had the best time possible and it was a great experience there at Get Some.
We were able to shoot two kinds of rifles and three kinds of handguns in the two hours we spent there.
Great time… hope to return again!

I live in Pennsylvania. But a few times, while visiting family in Utah, I’ve spent a little time at «Get Some». Usually for a bit of «full-​auto therapy» with my brother!
So right now, it’s Black Friday weekend. Not a fun time to visit any retail establishment. But when visiting Get Some yesterday, we were pleased that the staff was very friendly. We shopped for some of the things on their sale ad — with many items still in stock. And we did some shooting at the range — H&K MP40 & Barrett 50. Fun times!
Again, we were impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff (especially Mike W, who happens to have lived at one time not far from my PA home).
Keep up the good work, Get Some Guns & Ammo!

I found the staff to be very helpful and informative. I rented a tactical gun and a silencer. It was fun to shoot.

The first time I went, about 2 years ago, I didn’t enjoy myself. I pawned it off as too much ego in the place, it wasn’t female friendly and decided I wouldn’t come back. This weekend I really wanted to shoot and didn’t have time to drive across town. I went in and was treated very well. I had a very positive experience and got some great tips from the gentleman running the range. I’ll be back. The range was clean, we’ll run and well lit.

I enjoy their shooting range but find that it is a bit expensive. The poor review comes from the staff that I have dealt with. I went to the shop inquiring about purchasing an AK47. The guy who was helping me very arrogantly asks me if I wanted it in a 7.62×39 or .308 and seems genuinely put out that I didn’t specify. I didn’t even know that the .308 was an option prior to having the «gun god» share with me his irritation and wisdom. This has more or less been the theme in doing business with them. I did end up making a purchase but am unlikely to in the future.

The past several times I have been in and or called I have been treated like I am bothering them or wasting their time. I cannot stand places where their employees are put off by having to do their job. Very poor customer service. I have always tried to buy local and support local business and I still do, just not from Get Some anymore.

The guy with the mohawk was very helpful and knows a lot about guns.

Was in today to buy my husband a rifle and shotgun for Father’s Day. Brett was extremely helpful and their prices were great. We spent some time on the range and that was great too. This is out «go-​to» place for everything to do with guns and ammo.

Terrible mail order customer support.

I’m truly shocked by some of the negative reviews here. Over the past three years, I’ve purchased a total of five firearms and many various accessories from ‘Get Some,’ and every transaction was a positive experience. (Maybe that’s the difference: I actually make purchases rather than shopping for what will ultimately be purchased online.) They’ve even taken a couple of pieces on trade AND given me fair prices both times. Here are some other specific things I like about Get Some Guns & Ammo.
Prices
As far as firearms go, they have the best prices in town. I shopped all the local dealers, including the national chain stores, and Get Some had them all beat. Accessories and ammo is hit and miss: often times lower, sometimes a bit higher, but always within reason.
Personnel
The sales staff are real people with real opinions, and I for one genuinely appreciate having conversations with salespeople like Brandon, George, Boyd, and Mike who aren’t just reciting a corporate script. It’s great when two of them have intense differing opinions about one thing or another. When that happens, I realize they’ve spent a lot of time thinking and learning about the products they sell, and I’m the direct benefactor of their experience and educated suggestions. But once I’ve made up my own mind, they respect my choices.
Buy Local
I have an affinity with local businesses and reaping the benefits of long-​term relationships with the owners and staff thereof. I’d much rather have my money stay in Utah, instead of being sent to who-​knows-​where and who-​knows-​who. Plus, if you need something right away, you can run right down to their shop and usually* find it in stock. (*Because I buy less-​than-​popular items, they’ve had to special order things for me, and they’ve arrived very quickly.)
Politics Aside
My political ideology differs from that of the gun culture. For that reason, I get uncomfortable when a conversation (or the signage in a business) goes down that troubled road. But politics have never been an issue at Get Some, and I have a feeling that if that topic – for whatever reason – ever came up, their attitude would be ‘to each his own.‘
The ‘Old-​fashioned’ Way
Like any business, they too can get busy, especially when it rains (no one is out shooting) or on the weekends. But they’ve always assured me and the other waiting customers that we’ll be helped ASAP. I much prefer that system over queuing up and waiting for your number to be called. If you don’t like that DMV-​inspired method, try the old-​fashioned personalized service at Get Some Guns & Ammo. After so many positive outcomes, I can’t imagine buying from anywhere else.

This is my first indoor range. I have not found any reason to not go there. I’ve taken my 9yr olds and family members.

Love them, have bought guns here, used their FFL drop ship service, and the range. Every experience was excellent. All the negative reviews must be competitors, or their families or friends.

I just bought a gun here last night and had yet another great experience at Get Some! Ryan was very forthcoming so I had a blast and learned a lot! He told me about which larger clips I could open and clean, and also about different kinds of ammunition. With that help I’ve almost picked out another gun already, for which I’ll be returning to the same store!

I would classify my rating as a negative one star, get some guns in murray are very dissrespectful and have an elitist attitudes towards less experienced gun owner or buyers. I have purchased firearms through then because of decent pricing. But the guns i have bought are the final ones i would ever purchase, even if they were giving them away, due to the dissrespect and lack of customer service and caring for the customers. if you walk in be prepared to be ignored if your an average joe. If your a muscle head asshole GI joe or swat guy then they will be at your beck and call or if your gonna buy a large ammount of outragiously priced ammo. i have visited this store many time and have been ignored on mutiple occasions, sorry to say i had nine hundred to drop on a gun ut dissrespect lost the sell. check your egoes at the door «get some».

I have to say, I’ve been here and bought many things from what’s always been a friendly staff. They sold me my M&P Shield, they let me test it out on their range for free before I purchased! Ive found more selection of accessories at this place than anywhere else. They have silencers to rent.. . many guns. Great shop!

They’re jerks. Go to Gun Vault or Gallensons for people who aren’t afraid to educate you if you have questions. Condescending staff. You’d have better luck at
. These guys were lucky they controlled the market for exceptional gun ranges for so long. Now there are better places you can go for the same, if not better, ranges and exceptional customer service.

Only range I could find to rent the glock 42 and micro kahr .380.
The range was clean, prices were standard from I’ve seen. The glass between the ranges might be bullet resistant, which if so, is a plus. I’ve seen some crazy stuff at various ranges over the years. Thankfully, I didn’t see any unsafe shooters. The amount of lanes is pretty small, but the selection of guns was certainly decent for what we were in the market for. It is a pretty small place. The other get some stores actually didn’t have the two guns we were looking to rent.
The unlimited exchange of different guns we wanted to try came in handy.

Man, I’m just on a 5 star run lately. What can I say? I was impressed by just about everything at Get Some Guns. When I walked in the door, as in most large gun shops, I was just a little bit overwhelmed by all of the selections they had to choose from. I went, not so much to buy a sidearm, but with a mission in mind. I went to replace a missing part to a very expensive pistol, and I knew that at the very least the part was going to need to be ordered.
Enter Ryan. I guess that he saw the wide eyed look I had because he knew that I was sort of lost. He asked me what he could do for me. I told him that I needed an 8-​shot magazine for a Walther P5 semi automatic pistol. Of course, he gave me the frown that I was afraid of. He said, «Yeah, those are kind of rare, and pretty hard to come by…»
Instead of giving me the runaround, and pulling out some dusty old gun parts catalog, he said that my best bet to find one would be on the Internet. Now, what shop employee in any business tells you the best place to find what you need would be a used-​part and on the Internet, to boot?
Right there and on the spot, he took me over to the company computer, and logged-​on to a used gun parts website. Ryan put in my information, and up popped about seven different items having to do with my particular model. And wouldn’t you know it, some fellow in Alabama was selling not one, but two of the exact item I needed. I knew that the price for a new magazine would be about $ 89 per piece. That is, if that particular part could even be found. Sure enough, the used and in perfectly good condition magazines were being sold for $ 59 each.
Now, because of the fine service I received, I started looking around at some of the smaller 9 mm handguns to be used as my concealed carry piece. I had a general idea about which model I had the most interest in, because I had been to Cabelas earlier in the day. Cabelas had the model I was looking for, but not the correct caliber. The price for the gun I was looking for seems to be about $ 440.00 just about everywhere in both 9 mm and .40 caliber.
Ryan not only let me handle the weapon as much as I wanted, but invited me back to test fire the weapon at their in-​house gun range. I had asked several other gun shops whether or not they had this particular model for rental so I might be able to shoot it before I buy it. Nobody had one, except this shop. And, by the way, the price for the model and calibre I was looking for, $ 389.00!!!
Without question, because of the customer service I received, this is where I will be buying my handgun. I see where other Unilocalers have had perhaps not as good an experience as I did, and that’s cool. Everybody can have an off day. For Ryan, this was not one of those days. I heartily endorse this particular gun shop, and without question give them 5 full stars.

Hmmm… sure, why not? Get some here!
First time we dropped by was looking for some 9 mm ammunition during gun craze period. We tried to get people to help us but they are always busy. So we only found Remington 9 mm. What a piece of crap! Jammed the Italian made Beretta FS 92 5 times in one round.
Next time, we dropped by to find couple Ruger’s magazines and holster. Staffs were busy again. However, they got what we were looking for and surprisingly couple dollar cheaper than Amazon’s price.
Get Some, go have pretty nice firearms collection here. The price is ok/​normal.
One nice thing about here, you can shoot higher power rifles here at the range. $ 15 one person. $ 24 for 2 person sharing a lane.
Oh man, sometime waiting for range is pretty darn long! Especially in Winter.
This Get Some store is ok but the Orem’s one is much better and bigger! That’s what she said!
