History

Established in 1974.

Thunderbird Travel opened its doors in 1974 as a full service travel agency serving Southern Illinois. The office was located in Carbondale IL near Southern Illinois University and continues to be of service to their staff, professors and students alike. After having worked for the agency since 1986, Cyndi (along with her husband Lee) decided to purchase it in 2001. They relocated the agency to their hometown of Murphysboro in 2006.

Business Owner

My name is Cyndi Snyder and I have been working in the travel business since 1980. I came to work for Thunderbird Travel in 1986. My areas of expertise are international airline travel, cruises and escorted tours. I have worked intensively with groups of missionaries and university students helping them plan and reserve trips to various destinations.
