Sissy’s Bella Salon

Amazing artist! Sissy exceeded my expectations, I like off the wall stuff and she hit a home run. Blonde with copper low lights and a shag… perfectly placed foils and I am so, so happy I found you Sissy! Now I do not have to go to The Bay Area to get color that rocks my socks off! PERFECT!!!

Sissy was great. I highly recommend going here. She was quick, professional and got my cut perfect. Love her dogs too!

Today was the first time I had gone to Sissy’s Bella Spa to get my hair colored and I could not be happier with the outcome! :) First, just a little background information; I had been going to the same person to get my hair done for about five years, until she needed to take extra time off to plan her upcoming wedding and spend time with her soon-​to-​be husband. That was March of LAST year, and also the last time I got my hair done until this past February – so almost a year. I went to a lady here in Sonora where I live (I don’t want to drop any names) and lets just say whatever the girl did to my hair left it lifeless, dry, and a shade of very VERY orange-​blonde. I hated it from the moment the stylist turned the chair around to reveal the mess she had created. It looked like I bleached it myself, was very spotty, and ended up being the most damaged state I had ever seen my hair in. Immediately after the event, I went to schedule an appointment with Laina at Sissy’s Bella Spa, but she suggested I wait a few weeks to let it repair itself. Reluctantly (because I hated my hair THAT much), I agreed and scheduled an appointment for today, two months after the initial coloring. I took a picture in and Laina looked at it and knew exactly what to do to achieve the look that I wanted. After a couple of hours in the chair, she rinsed out the dye and revealed EXACTLY what I had been looking for with NO noticeable damage to the ends. PLUS she styled it nicely :) I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my hair done and spent HOURS in the chair, only to walk out with flipped out ends and extreme volume and just ended up putting it up in a pony tail as soon as I get out of sight from the salon. I normally wouldn’t sit here and write a page long review about ANY business, really, I do (sometimes) have better things to do with my Saturday nights, but my experience with Sissy’s Bella Spa was so excellent, I figured it would be a crime not to share it with some other people :) This place is amazing, and I am so excited that I finally found a place that I can trust with my hair again :)

I came to Sissy’s to try out their manicurist in anticipation of my upcoming wedding. I got a shellac manicure from Laina who was very friendly and not overly chatty.
The Pros: I was able to make a same day appointment, the spa was small but clean, and I love how Laina used a wooden tool to crush my cuticles rather than an I’m-not-sure-it’s-been-sanitized metal tool.
The Cons: the website says the shellac is $ 20, but the sign out front said $ 26 (I was charged $ 26). Laina said the manicure would take 20 minutes, it took 45. The end result of my manicure was jagged on the tips, bubbly in the middle, nasty looking cuticles due to no trimming, and layered on so unevenly my nails look lopsided. Even my fiancé who normally never even notices said they look like crap. I will not be taking my bridal party here.

Sissy is one of the best hairdressers in the area. I had tried 4 hairdressers before being recommended to try Sissy. She is an artist when it comes to color. My hair looks natural and is the perfect shade. I’ve been growing my hair out, which is a pain. Somehow Sissy always makes my hair look great even through all the grow out stages. I drive 70 miles round trip just to have my hair done by her. I get a lot of compliments on my hair, since I’ve been going to Sissy’s. I recommend her to all my friends and can not say enough good things about her.

Loved it there. Sissy is very talented and I just let her use her amazing skill and creativity to give me a beautiful new cut. I am thrilled. Her reputation for excellence is well earned. Thank you Sissy for such a lovely experience.
The salon is gorgeous, the products feel great, cannot say enough about such a great experience.
