I don’t know what is happening with this restaurant but twice we’ve driven over on Sunday morning to find it closed with no warning, no notice on Facebook which would take like 2 minutes to do, and would save us a 20 minute drive. I haven’t had an issue with the food but I’ve read some people were dissatisfied so who knows. I find consistency with all the eateries in the area is erratic so it’s just a crap shoot, I guess. Since I last edited my review, the consistency of the food has been an issue. The first time, I brought it to the attention of our server. This time, I said nothing but it doesn’t pay to short customers on the amount of product because n the long run, you lose customers.

Went for lunch with a friend. The restaurant was not busy with only a few tables occupied. I had a salad but my friend ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich. She stressed to the waitress that she wanted the bun heavily toasted and mushrooms on the side. Lunch took a very long time to come to the table. When it finally came, the bun was not toasted, had a very small amount of meat on the sandwich, and the mushrooms were cold. There were no accompaniments to the sandwich, no chips fries or even a pickle. And it was about $ 8! She sent the sandwich back to the kitchen with her complaints. Again, it took a very long time for it to come back. When the waitress brought it back, it was not much better. It was lightly toasted in one side and no more appealing than before. She rejected the lunch. The restaurant took it off the bill but made no attempt to make it right. Although this is the nearest restaurant to my home and the community college, we will not be going back.

Ok place. Not a 4 or 5 star establishment. A little funky smell when you walk in. Had cheese sticks with marinara sauce. Typical frozen cheese sticks, marinara sauce not so good. Right out of can taste. Burger was perfectly cooked, but bland. Lacked seasoning. Also burger patties barely covered ¾ of the bun. A handful of fries for $ 1.99, not value as burgers come without fries. Again overall okay. $ 30 for 2 burgers, fries, cheese sticks and 2 drinks, a little excessive.

One of the best, hometown restaurants that you will find in Murphy. How to tell that they have incredible breakfast? The place is filled with locals and rightly so. Great staff, friendly service and really good food.

Back for round 2 at blue mountain grill. We came for Christmas Eve and it was customer appreciation day and breakfast was on the house!!! Never heard of such a thing but it was much appreciated. Corned beef hash is great

We have been to Blue Mountain for dinner on several occasions and now recently have gone in for the breakfast buffet on the weekends. The food is always great and prices are very reasonable. They have so many breakfast items in the buffet too: biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage links, bacon, French toast sticks, grits, and seasonal fruit. Definitely worth a visit.

The Mountain Café had the best burger that I have had in years. Made with local beef and lots of love. The wait person was on it and provided excellent service. What a treat for the ladies from Oregon.

I ate here a couple of weeks ago. The only thing worse than the food was the service: it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. My grilled chicken was so tough I could barely cut it and the roll was so stale I couldn’t tear it apart. Another in our party ordered a burger medium rare. It was bloody inside so she sent it back. The second burger was also bloody. The waitress was sarcastic, mouthy and rude. Awful! And the restaurant was not crowded!

I don’t got here often, but I absolutely adore this place! Reasonably priced, good portions, and really just some good old fashioned home cookin’! I love that they buy local(farm to fork night and meat from brasstown beef) and give back to the community. Their breakfast buffet is great and reasonable. I have had their veggie omelet, red velvet pancakes, and pumpkin pancakes – all fantastic! Just tried their Mediterranean Quesadilla the other day and it was great. Their fried pickles and chips with homemade ranch are a must try!

Definitely a fan! Great burgers! Lots of choices for all diets. Great ice cream desserts and delicious brownies. Will be back! Oh, and not too expensive to make it a regular spot.

Oh. my. gosh. Fantastic breakfast buffet. came 2x on our 4day trip to murphy, NC. But the icing on the cake: the sweet potato pancake with homemade sauce. I don’t care who you are, what else you ordered or what you feel like eating. GET. that. sweet. potato. pancake. I tried making a recipe at home, but was nowhere as good. I’d literally drive 1 – 2 hours just to visit this place.

I would have liked the food more if it wasn’t so greasy… good taste just needing to drain the grease better. The meat was really good! The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not more… was the flies! I hate having flies around the table and food! There were lots of flies everywhere, outside around the smoking grill, in the restroom and the table. The server was friendly and it had a great hometown feel. I’ll give it another chance next time in the area.

Down home cooking done right at a great price! I immediately felt part of a family. The service was outstanding and did I mention affordable? We came too late for breakfast, but they keep a breakfast buffet open. The grits with honey butter was divine!!! Unfortunately, the coffee was not so good.

Went for Lunch today, the place was clean and our server was friendly and offered a sample of the enchilada soup. It was homemade and exceptional. I ordered the Reuben with a side of fried green beans. Again was toasted and very delicious. My husband ordered the BLT and fries. Fries were seasoned and so good. Definitely will eat here again.

Awesome breakfast café best corn beef hash I’ve ever had. They make it fresh to order. Everything was served as home cooked meal. So much better than most restaurants

In short one of the best breakfast eats that you will find anywhere. Secluded in a little country town with warm service, warm biscuits and gravy, and amazing sausage links. The links and white gravy are two of the best I have ever tried. Stop by you won’t be disappointed in the food or the price. The breakfast bar was 5.99, I would easily pay 10.99 and be happy.

I took a European friend here for a quick brunch while visiting my parents. I had bragged to him about a good ‘Southern’ breakfast that he was in store for. While the food was as expected, I was surprised with the service. When my friend ordered several separate side items(instead of an entrée) the waitress got increasingly exasperated and even said«Don’t you think that is enough?» after his third item. He was really just wanted to sample a number of menu items… she acted like that was a crime. While I think this place satisfies a niche market in the area, I hope they’ll be more welcoming to in the future. Nothing like feeling unwelcome to tarnish a perfectly good meal.

Great little eatery, nice to go for breakfast after a trip to Dr @ Murphy Medical Center. Good food, service and prices. We will be back. March 2015 We’ve been back several times. I went in for lunch last Monday and ordered the TBLT sandwich that is delicious turkey, bacon, avocado and tomato,(no tomato for me though) on wheat with sweet potato fries. Outstanding. The fries come with a raspberry sauce that is a nice compliment to the sandwich too. Really great. We went back on Sunday and I ordered it again. :) My partner got the breakfast buffet and was very happy with it, every bite is Yum-Worthy. Best biscuits and gravy I’ve tasted. I’m raising my rating from 4 to 5. We’ve been back again since I wrote earlier this month. Oustanding.

I am giving them five stars. In the past it has been hit or miss… Something has changed! The service was friendly. My drink was always kept full. The Prime Rib was delicious and of course it is Brasstown Beef. My baked potato was way over done and hard, but I will let that slide because evrything else was great. I will be dining here more often.

Blue Mountain has some of the best food in town. Everything is freshly made when you order. The serves is good, the people are friendly and the food is homemade(and locally grown). Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to eat because the prep time is longer but worth the fifteen minute wait.
