The staff is always above average but the store is more expensive than its competitors. It’s great location makes it worth it at times. Helium is about $.50 more expensive here.

Don’t shop there. They sell a significant amount outdated and spoiled food. They need to close this store. I have lived nearby for many years and I can’t shop there because you can’t trust them to keep fresh items stocked consistently. No one wants to check the date on every single thing they pick up. It’s a violation of consumer trust. Disgusting. They let this happen 3 — 4 years ago, showed brief improvement but now it’s back to outdated food. Old yogurt, rotted vegetables and even soured wine. Everyone in the neighborhood drive several miles to Kroger. Close & give us a decent grocery.

I absolutely love the store. Customer service is always spot on. And if they’re out of stock the manager can usually find it in the back regardless of how busy they are. The cashiers are always friendly and the stores always clean. A+

I have to admit that Albertson’s does have some really great deals sometimes. But, sales are only good if you can actually benefit from them. I would highly recommend that if you actually want to succeed in your grocery trip, GOEARLY in the morning. Don’t wait until the evening to try to get your sales because they will be all gone or the selection will be slim. I tried to get a deal on corn tonight but the only corn left were slim pickings – some seemed to have moldy ears! Then, I looked at the green grapes that were on sale and they also looked awful. When I later inquired about a rain check because clearly I would not buy any of the produce available, the grocer simply said that you have to wait since the stock comes at night. So, in other words, more fresh stock had already arrived but was sitting in the back and not available for customer purchase. Poor sales. They also ran out of the orange juice that was on sale; however, the manager graciously offered to replace the orange juice with a different brand. Finally, I was disappointed that Albertson’s did not live up to the mantra of «the customer is always right». There was a sale for which you got an extra deal if you bought 5 of a series of items. There was a huge display that carried all of the acceptable types of cereal that you could buy to get this deal. Included in this display was another type that was not advertised but appeared to be with the same group of items. When I asked one of the workers if it was also included in the sale, he said that it probably was(especially since it was placed and grouped with the others). When it rang up, we did not get the deal and I explained exactly how it had been displayed. Instead of apologizing for the misleading sign/display and honoring the deal, I was told that I was wrong and that I needed to look clearly at the ad and not necessarily listen to what I heard from someone in the store. Also, when I tried to visit customer service it had a sign that said«Customer Service CLOSED». Am I thus only allowed to bring up concerns during a certain time period? It is possible that much of my disapproval of my visit was due to visiting at night. So, I suppose my recommendation to any future customer is that you should come early in the day!

I’m a fan of Albertson’s. I choose Albertson’s over Kroger, Walmart & Tom Thumb any day especially for the meat and produce. Today, however, I left disappointed. I went to have some shrimp steamed only to be told the steamer has been down since before Valentine’s Day. That is over a month ago! I was directed to the Albertson’s in Wylie. Unlike the store in Wylie, this location actually devein their shrimp. Get the steamer replaced soon please!

I love Albertsons because they have great customer service and the floral department at this store is very nice. This is really the only grocery store in Murphy that has a full butcher section. This store is always clean and they seem to have a much better selection than the big box market down the road. My only disappointment with this store is the bakery. I recently ordered a cake for a family party to welcome home my newest nephew. When I ordered the cake, I showed the bakery employee a baby shower cake in the display case and said I wanted my cake to be identical– with soft baby blue and yellow swirls. The cake I got was really dry– it tasted like it had been baked at least a couple of days ahead of time and was so poorly iced that you could see bits of the chocolate cake peeking out from the white icing. The decorative icing was a very loud blue and yellow that looked like a throw back to a late 80’s skating rink birthday party. I have bought several of their ready to go cakes from the display in the past and been happy with them so hopefully, this was just a one time mix up.
