Value Vet

When it came time to say goodbye to my seventeen year old dog, I made an appointment at Value Vet. When I asked if i could sit on the floor with my dog in her bed, the person making the appointment assured me the staff would work with me in any way I felt comfortable. I was apprehensive, but I had no reason to be.
The staff at the Murfreesboro, TN Value Vet were amazing! They showed me to a room immediately. I settled in on the floor with a quilt and my dog in her little bed. The staff member stayed by my side the entire time. She talked with me, offering comfort and understanding. She cried with me and showed me so much kindness. She was gentle and caring when she gave my dog a sedative.
When the vet came in, he took time to greet me and offer his condolences. He made sure I was ready before going through with the procedure, then assured me to stay in the room and take whatever time I needed in private with my dog.
Even when I returned to pick up my dog’s remains, the vet chatted with me, hugged me and offered me comfort.
I was so blessed and destined to be with the staff at Value Vet. I highly recommend this vet!

I downloaded the Unilocal app just so I could say that these people are SAINTS. I came in today on a friend’s recommendation, no appointment, and got in in just 30 minutes. I wait longer than that at my regular vet WITH an appointment. I have a massive alaskan malamute/​australian shepherd/​chow mix. He’s a big beautiful sweetheart, but the sweetest dog in the world can get pretty rowdy at his first nail trimming. The two people working today– I wish I knew their names!- were so incredibly gentle and sweet with him when I know that I would have been terrified. He has one back leg that was snapped when he was just a baby and he can be very sensitive about it, and when they worked on that leg he went NUTS, but they kept their cool– and their hold, and I am so incredibly grateful. Then, on top of all that, I had forgotten my card at home and had to have them manually run my information, but kept remembering it wrong. As someone who works in the service industry, I know how frustrating that can be, and the kind lady attempting to cash out our services was so patient while I called a roommate to read it out to me. These people are wonderful and I plan to take all my pets to them!

Very clean facility and friendly staff. They were a little pushy about some add on services but were also informative about everything. They were great with my dog who is very skiddish and they got her shots over quickly. Prices are very affordable, I paid $ 78 for all the annual shots plus examination. I had an overall pleasant experience and would definitely bring my dog back for any vet needs.

I relocated with my 7 year old St. Bernard to Murfreesboro in July, 2014. After reading favorable reviews about Value Vet, we decided to do a meet and greet. The staff was (is) pretty wonderful, but sadly not «on top of things.» I just found out that they neglected to review my Saint’s vaccine history and she missed her distemper.
Since moving here, we acquired a Great Pyrenees. We took him there for his vaccines and wellness checks. Again, the staff was really friendly… but they didn’t remember us (or our St. Bernard who was with us). That was pretty insulting, but whatever. Six weeks after receiving his kennel cough… he got kennel cough! I understand that there is no guarantee with vaccines, but I never had a problem… EVER…before with any of my dogs.
If you VALUE your pet’s health, find somewhere else to bring them! By the way, there is NO value… at least when you have two huge dogs!

Took my dog here before for shots at excellent prices. My dog happened to discover a hornet’s nest and he was stung a few more times than me. Brought him hereon Saturday and they were patient and kind. I could see a lot of passion for animals in pain and I appreciated their caring. I fully recommend coming here before anyone else in town.

We love Value Vet. Plain and simple. We take our 3 pets there pretty regularly and we LOVE the staff. Everyone is super friendly and genuinely loves their job — it’s really refreshing to be in an environment like that, especially because they take care of our fur-​babies. The only thing that I don’t like is that the vets rotate to different Value Vets but we have had great experiences with both vets at the Murfreesboro location. If you’re looking for affordable pet care & positive interactions with a great staff, this is your place!

I was shocked at the level of care and professionalism at Value Vet when I brought my 14-​week old puppy in for an examination. Everyone was extremely friendly, fast and thorough in everything that was done. I got good news regarding my puppy, Parvo negative. That’s always good, but that’s not why I’m here. The value is really what it’s all about. There’s a saying that you get what you pay for, but at Value Vet you get more. I’m thoroughly pleased with the entire experience, and I will be bringing all of my pets here in the future.
