Business Owner

Jay started working with his father Jim at MPG in 1995 when he came out of the U.S. Navy where he served as the plane captain on a EA-​6B electronic warfare aircraft with the VAQ137 Rooks. He left MPG at various times through the years but always came back and took over ownership and operation of the business from Jim in 2005. Jay has excellent knowledge of all sorts of merchandise and goes out of his way to make everyone who walks in the door feel welcome. He brings a philosophy to the shop that taking care of customers is job number one. He has made more than one sale of anything from firearms to work tools to jewelry, noting for the customer «and it really brings out the color in your eyes». Keeping the atmosphere for the store light and fun is very important at MPG.

Jay enjoys spending time with daughter Lissa and girlfriend Shelly, is an avid shooter and loves his Buick Grand National, and of course is the guardian of our own Jake.
