Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I travel frequently and so I’ve eaten at many Cracker Barrels across the country. This was the first time I can say the food was terrible! I placed a to go order for grandma’s breakfast. I asked to sub out turkey bacon instead of pork bacon. I got back to my hotel to discover that, despite being correct on the receipt, they still gave me pork bacon. I tried to eat it, but it clearly had been sitting in grease for a while. Just inedible. Same thing with the hash brown casserole – dried out and inedible. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d go back and request a refund. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and service was prompt (which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one). Unfortunately, they failed where it matters most… the food.

This is the most well run CB I’ve ever been in. The place was packed. I was told the wait for one person to be five mins and was seated in three. The host was exceptionally pleasant and engaging, as was my waitress, who was very attentive and sweet. The food was served hot and fresh and within five minutes! The manager stopped by to check in and I told her how impressed I was. The founding bros must have certainly envisioned that success would look just like this store, one well oiled machine.

I had the displeasure of visiting this restaurant, twice. Both times, the food was either not fully cooked or just awful. The food was very bland, no seasoning at all. Christine, the manager, was a very cold, rude, careless person. She smarted off, at the restaurant’s mistake… just a very cold, heartless soul.
This was my personal experience with the restaurant and manager. Needless to say, I will never return to this place, nor recommend it.
