Brogli Lane Weaver & Alexander Animal Hospital

My dog, Bennett, was a rescue dog that had been severely abused. Although most of my family use another vet in town (one that is «cheaper»), I knew that Bennett would need a little extra love and care. He was skittish around new people, and clung to me anytime we were outside of our house, but he was especially afraid of men. However, when he first met Dr. Alexander– he did not exhibit any of this behavior.
We have been a patient of Dr. Alexander’s for 3 years now. He is phenomenal. He took the time to truly get to know Bennett AND me. He has always answered every question I have with straight, honest answers. He never makes me feel like my questions are silly or dismisses any concerns that I bring up. I cannot say how grateful I am to have a vet that has a genuine love for my dog, and he makes my concerns, his concerns as well. You may find a «cheaper» vet, but you will not find one that will take valuable time to spend with you and your baby. We moved to Brentwood 2 years ago, and still make the drive to come and see Dr. Alexander.
As a side note, the support staff are also amazing. I have mainly dealt with the vet techs Kendra and Josh. Both of them have been kind and treated my nervous pup with care. The front staff are always willing to find me an appointment that works for us, and they always call/​email when Bennett is due for care. I’m super happy with all of the services we receive at BLW&A Animal Hospital. They have our loyalty for life.

When I first arrived in Murfreesboro with 5 dogs and more on the way, I needed a vet I could rely on and feel comfortable with. I found this hospital through Unilocal.After going to the clinic, I will not go anywhere else. Dr. Weaver is the best. He really cares about the animal and is so friendly and helpful. He will always call you back if you have a concern and advice you over the phone as best as he can. I even received a birthday card when from the office. I recommend Brogli Lane Weaver & Alexander to all my friends and fellow animal lovers and will continue to recommend them. Thanks for a job well done and always caring about my fur babies.

New to the Boro and found them through Unilocal.They are awesome and helped my dog out when another vet missed my dog’s ailment. I love that they call and follow up and sent me a coupon in the mail. Very sweet staff!

Was a bit nervous when I moved to the area, having moved from another state. Didn’t think I’d find a vet as awesome as the one I had in Texas for 20 years. I shouldn’t have worried. Dr. Lane is caring, funny, compasionate. He takes care of my fur kids with love and puts up with my over protectiveness. I’ve seen the partners as well. Can recommend any of them. The office staff is awesome! Always wonderful to work with, fun to talk to and always chipper. Working in a vets office can have its ups and downs, hard to always be ‘on’, but they are. Even off hours!

We love it here. We have been bringing our 2 labs here for 9 years. All of the docs are great but we especially love Dr. Alexander! I would highly recommend bringing your pets here.

It’s rare that you find a vet that you truly trust and respect. For the past 4 years I have taken my GSD to this practice, and she has seen every doctor there at one point. BLW&A Animal Hospital has been able to provide knowledge, guidance and have shown care and compassion for my family members as if they were their own.
After I moved to Murfreesboro from Kentucky I tried numerous veterinary clinics in town. Each one I worked with seemed worse than the last and I grew concerned that I may not find an office I trusted like the one back home. There is no reason to explain why the other vets don’t quite compare to this one, or talk badly about another practice. But by reading other reviews, most will gather that it was likely due to cost, customer service, knowledge… or some variation of everything which resulted in a poor experience.
From my experience, this veterinary office is one I can trust and I feel confident in saying they have high regard for not only my pet’s wellbeing, but also me as a pet owner. Not once have they given me bad/​wrong info or have I felt like they were trying to sell me something. All of the doctors are very down to earth and have always been patient during my visits. (most of my experience is with Dr Weaver and Dr Alexander — and both are fantastic!)
It seems after reading other reviews about BLW&A (mainly the negative ones)…that both the reviews and this world are full of people who love to complain and there isn’t anything that can satisfy someone who is generally unhappy. Please don’t let those reviews discourage you from visiting this practice. There are plenty of positive ones here and you deserve to form your own opinion. I typically do NOT write reviews, but this place deserves praise for the great work they do and the service they provide to the pet community.

After taking my dog to Southern Vet in Smyrna and they refused to see her because of something that happen in 2001 because of the bad and uncaring service the provided me back then and lets not forget my dog was bleeding and in pain and could not walk they refused to see her. so I went in search for a vet on Saturday morning and I found Brogli lane Weaver & Alexander Animal Hospital. They took her in and sedated her and took care of her. They were kind and caring and took care of my girl just like I have been a long time customer of theirs. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate them. I will recommend them to everyone I know and tell my story to everyone I meet and yes I know and meet a lot of people. Thanks again for the kind and caring service you gave to my pet. O did I mention my pet is a Chow Chow and it’s hard to find a caring vet to treat these dogs.

Brogli Lane Weaver and Alexander Animal Hospital is a wonderful clinic. From the first phone conversation, I knew I had chosen a great place to take our sick dog, Emmitt. Dr. Brogli is a straight shooter who made me feel comfortable right from the start. I knew he was more interested in taking care of our pet rather than taking our money. He had better recommendations for our dog than I had gotten from two other veternarians in the area in five years.
Amongst the care Dr. Brogli provided, the rest of the staff was just as caring and knowlegable. The day after our appointment, I received a call from one of the staff members wanting to check on Emmitt. A couple days later, I received a card thanking me for my business. They didn’t have to do those things, but what service! It showed that they cared and are on top of things to say the least. I already have a future appointment for his teeth cleaning — because I trust them, unlike other clinics we’ve been to (See Kinard Animal Hospital review).

We brought our two year old Great Dane here after she had stopped eating and began to become very weak. They kept her for a few days and we were told they were unsure of what exactly was wrong but suggested it may be early Addison’s disease (common in Danes) or possibly cancer. There was not much they could do for her because she got sicker by the day. Putting down a dog (more like a family member) is never easy and this is the first time I’ve had to encounter this decision in my 23 years. Doctor Lane was very sweet and caring in the process. He let us have time with her until we were ready for him to take her. It was a very emotional process but the vet and the ladies at the front desk were very caring and helpful. I had the ladies up front take some paw prints in ink on sketch paper so we could have something to remind us of her. They were excellent in getting a few pages of print so we had extras.
We take our other dogs here as well and they love the entire staff. We always feel welcome when we are there and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needed vet services.

I first brought my cat Jonas here when he was a kitten, and most recently we came in for a check up and shots earlier this year. Jonas turned twelve last month, which I guess basically makes him a senior citizen. Weird how pets can have the same doctor their whole lives– from pediatrics to geriatrics :)
The vets and vet techs who work here are great with animals, even when a certain nosy cat sneaks behind the counter and struts into the manager’s office like he owns the place. Cats are pretty low maintenance, but I used to bring my dog here too when he was still with us, and I was always happy with their services here. I ask a lot of questions and I like understanding what’s going on with my animals, which they encourage. I completely trust our vets here.
I feel for the couple giving the one star reviews below. Honestly, it doesn’t sound like much could be done to help their pup, and I think Dr. Brogli’s response to her review was very caring and professional. I would want that quality of comfort if I were in the same situation.

I brought my first puppy here for her first visit, and they were so helpful. You can tell the staff really cares. I don’t have anything to compare prices to, but they seemed fair. They have great discounts on puppy’s first visit.

Vet responds to my review via Unilocal.That the cost of his visit was so high because he had to review ALL his prior records. Let me state for the record. I have moved out of state several times over the course of my life with pets and not once did a Vet office charge me more money for an office exam and they had to review their records as well. Not to mention we had to contact our old vet for them to get everything sent to them. I stand behind that with proof.
Secondly, my beloved service animal passed away on May 20^th, we moved out of Murfreesboro on June 10^th and we never received a card from them as they state they did. If they did I assume it was after we moved out which was 3 weeks after his passing. I even called the office irate 10 days after he passed saying to the receptionist that my dog had passed away and let the Vet know. I am sure he knew, but I was just so irate that they didn’t even call… Again its easy to say you did something, but I stand behind proof and actions not words. Anyone can say anything.
I have a dead pet, maybe this was something they couldn’t stop but if they would of treated him for the proper issue he may have lived longer and NOT died in pain. I would give anything to of had another week or even 1 more day with him. If I knew he could of died in a week or 2 I would of did more things with him, tell him I loved him more, cherished every minute with him more!!!
A vet is educated on ALL illnesses including cancer. I have not in all my years of having pets had a Vet say, «here go to another Vet cause I don’t know what it is!» Only time I went to another office was for a machine or a procedure they could do in that office. So I stand behind my rating and review 100%. I feel that if I was given straight answers I would maybe be able to understand why he died so fast but I wasn’t given those answers. I quote the Vet saying to me after I picked up his medication, «I have great hope that he will be fine». I clung to these words because I put his life in their hands. I believed him and every time I worried or got scared I thought of those words.
The fact that my pet is gone at only 9 years who was like a son to me, my life was complete with him, to have them respond to a review instead of calling me or emailing me on here but posting it, shows that they are insensitive and that they didn’t care. Again, I don’t write false reviews I have no need to lie. I stand behind my review.
They have words… I have a dead pet… period!!!

Not sure how they received 5 stars because they don’t deserve even 1. My wife and I took our precious dog to them them for a second opinion and they only speculated what it might be and gave him medications to treat 2 different things. No straight answers, just guesses and wanted us to take him to another clinic/​hospital. Our beloved pet only lasted 3 more weeks. The office has known now for 10 days that he had passed away and never herd a word from anyone. I would not trust them with a pet/​family member again. Stay far away.

I just took my new rescue dog here for the first time. The reception area is very nice and clean. The vet assistant listened to my concerns and my dog absolutely loved Dr. Alexander. I would highly recommend taking your animal here. Only thing you should know is there is limited parking right up front but there is more parking in the back that is not marked well.

They have been our vets for over 8 years. Al the docs and staff are great. We have had to have 2 of our «weenie» dogs put to sleep in the last 4 years and they been so comforting and kind through those tough times. Dr. A takes care of our new puppy «baby girl» and our 9 year old Sugar and we look forward to every visit. If you need a vet they are the best and like friends.

I have been taking my dogs to Brogli, Lane, Weaver & Alexander for many years now. No matter which veterinarian my dogs see, I feel confident that they will be well taken care of. They are straight shooters and won’t talk you into a service that they don’t think is necessary for your pet’s well being.
I recently moved about 45 minutes away from the area of the office and struggled with whether or not I should find a new vet closer to home. I finally decided that it’s well worth the extra drive to take my dogs to veterinarians and techs that I know and trust.

The Better Half of the Unilocal Couple brings her «Fur Kids» here. Not being a longtime pet owner, at first I was surprised why someone would care so much about giving your dog or cat good care. Now that I’ve been around her pets for a while, I have come to appreciate how important this can be.
The employees here seem to take real pride in making sure that the pet is as comfortable as possible and always seem to have everyone’s feelings in mind. As a result I can see why she decided to keep coming here even though she moved almost all the way across town.
