History

Established in 2014.

Terry Good, the owner of Apex, has spent the majority of his life in the auto industry. He started rebuilding engines for himself and his friends when he was 14. His first job in the business was at one of the most reputable body shops in Illinois. He changed direction, went to school for auto repair, and began working at a BMW dealership. Some time and countless classes later, Terry was offered a job at a well-​liked private shop as their German car specialist (although he worked on everything). In June of 2014 a storefront in an auto plaza in Mundelein became available and Terry jumped on the opportunity to begin his own shop. Continuing to satisfy current customers and gaining the respect of new customers, Terry hopes to build a business based on honesty, integrity and hard work.

Business Owner

Terry Good, owner of Apex Autoworks, bought his first car (a Datsun 280Z with a blown up engine) when he was 14. For 4 years he perfected the car and eventually, with hesitation, sold it to a doctor in Florida. Since then Terry has been buying cars headed to the junkyard and putting them back on the road. He’s gained experience at collision shops, dealership service centers, and private garages, and his precision and attention to detail has piqued the interest of private collectors. In 2014 he decided to open Apex Autoworks where he serves the community by providing general maintenance and minor and major repair on all vehicles.
