We are a «regional» Industry leader in custom design and made to order «sewn» products; specializing in heavy duty products, made for use by Police, Sheriff, EMS, Military, Outdoor Sports, and anyone needing rugged or durable products that can stand up to repeated use or even abuse. We also repair and improve bad to poor sewn products design when needed and advised.

We outfit everyone from Missionaries, to Mercenaries going somewhere in the world; making everything form Holsters, to Bible Covers for those working or operating in harsh environments, or just wanting to enjoy mother nature. .. on their own terms.

History

Established in 1982.

Trained as a Army Rigger in the Quartermaster Corps, I have been designing and sewing custom and Military standardized products from 1968 through present.

We moved to Muncie Indiana in the summer of 1980 and opened our custom sewn products «wholesale only» business while still in the Army; and then opened to the public in the winter of ‘1986/​87

We are the last known shop of our type left anywhere near us, as of this last year, that continues to do custom design and sewing, and modification and repairs to existing products. We do a lot of fabrication and are now serving a second generation of clients bringing in a third generation of family members.

We have Redesigned, Reconstructed our old «Rigger Hut», added heat and air-​conditioning, and moved it to the back of the Property behind our home, and increased our pull in-​out drive and parking, to make us easier to use and come to. Sorry still no Bathroom yet.

Husband, Father of two, Grandfather of five, Great Grandfather of three, trained Army Rigger/​Cargo handler/​Preservation & tent repair, Vietnam Vet, Veteran Service Organization Chaplain, Army ROTC Instructor at Ball State University, Indiana-​Purdue University at Ft. Wayne and Indiana Institute of Technology at Ft. Wayne teaching Army Logistics, Leadership 101, History and Traditions of the U.S. Army.

After starting and selling a successful wholesale manufacturing business, and than starting and operating the Army Navy Store of Muncie, for the better part of 20 years; we are now retired, yet still operate Sow N Sews Custom Sewing N Repairs, to Financially support our Ministry Outreach to keep the Gospel nonchargeable to our hearers.

We represent a unique shop set-​up and are able to offer unique services in one spot, within our greater Mid Western market area. Most projects are done same day, on the spot.
