They took our membership fees out early and shut down without warning.

This place is a scam. Multiple people I know have been scammed up to $ 600 from their bank account after this place just closed down.

I was going to buy the Groupon they have online. When I drove by the building, it was dark and for lease. I tried to let Groupon know, but they wanted me to do thier leg work and prove the business is closed.
MAC still had a reader board promoting specials. After reading other Unilocal reviews. it seems like this business is contining to try to steal our hard earned money through Groupon. MAC website appears to have disappeared, and loops to a Facebook account. Good luck to those fighting to get thier money back and MAC owner beware. Mukilteo may be small, but the residents do not tolerate shady business practices.

Showed up today and the gym is closed down? I got charged ²⁄₁ and then again 2÷24… Worst Gym Ever? Probably.

I am having identical problems with the MAC, having finally resorted to placing a stop-​payment on the MAC with my bank to keep these criminals from enacting any further charges. I, too, have never been a member with or even set foot in the MAC; I was a member of the former Gold’s Gym from 2010 – 2013, having cancelled my membership with Gold’s prior to the MAC ever existing. I have not received a plausible explanation for how, exactly, my «membership» with the MAC was created. I have not been able to contact the ownership. Do not associate yourself with this business in any fashion! They will steal your money and lie to you! Current members: LEAVE NOW, and make sure you tell your bank to stop paying them. Do not take their word for more than it’s worth: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Why would anyone read these reviews and join this gym? Anyone who has had these problems with the MAC, speak up! Let’s work together to fight this!

This Gym should be closed down, I withdrew from this gym in February, 2015. In December of 2015 $ 82.00 was withdrawn from my checking account. In January, 2015 another $ 82.00. I had moved out of state and was not able to come in. I will, however, pursue this to the full degree. If you do not like money stolen from you I would suggest that you do not join this gym.

This place is dirty. There’s frequently trash on the ground and it seems like nothing is ever cleaned. About half the time they don’t have any towels available. In short, this place sucks.
The one thing it had going for it is that it’s usually empty when i go, and a few of the employees are nice.

The dirtiest gym I’ve ever seen… The floors look like they have spit/​gum on them (3^rd floor is the dirtiest) old hand written sign, looks so unprofessional. And the restrooms. Wow-​they were so gross I quit my membership the day I stepped into it.
For such a gorgeous little neighborhood, this gym is junk. Too bad, so much potential!

We are here again at 5:20am and the gym is not open. They are supposed to open at 5am. This is not the first time, or the second, or the third, fourth or fifth time this has happened! As stated by most others, you get what you pay for. Half ass equipment that is not maintained, dirty bathrooms that rarely have hand soap, dirty floors, sanitizer bottles and power towels almost always empty, and lazy employees. They should stop posting signs everywhere telling the members what to do and what not to do, and actually hold their employees accountable for taking care of the place. It’s getting pretty ridiculous and we are thinking about changing gyms back to 24hr or LA. The location is the only convenience for us.

I’ve been a member of MAC gym for a little less than a year. I came from 24hr in Silver Lake because I was paying $ 40 for a membership. (That is more than I pay at MAC gym for two people.) At first, I was skeptical to become a member of MAC gym; a lot of broken equipment, melting rubber weights, etc.
Finally, after a few months passing, it seems as though the gym has started fulfilling promises they were making to all of us members about repairing the equipment.
What is the most frustrating is the gym opening late. Literally sitting here at 5:30, (gym is supposed to open at 5), preworkout kicking in, waiting for someone to show up and open the doors. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this has happened.
This gym has the potential to be great if only management would see what is happening and step in to make some changes to the current situations that are only hurting the business.

I haven’t been a member in over a year and they decided to charge and take money from my account on the 31^st of December 2015. As soon as I as able to get a hold of the gym, I got the run around after calling 7 days straight, even going into the business itself! I left my number, name, and email many times, with almost every employee there. Everytime I asked for a manager there wasn’t one and I still haven’t gotten my money back OR a call from the bullshit owner! But that’s fine, if going to court over a 60 $ charge that was STOLEN from me is something they want to do.
Enjoy the bullshit, unclean, and crap management while the place is still open.

I have been charged over 600.00 in the past 2 weeks from this company. I was a member of Golds gym and had canceled my membership 6 years ago. I never gave Mukilteo Athletic Club my information or permission to charge account. The manager’s promised my money would be in my account a week ago and it is not. They now won’t return my phone calls. I’m headed to the bank, police station and lawyer’s office today. I’m so excited to spend my Friday doing this with my infant in tow. DO NOT sign up with this gym, they will steal your money.
I’ve heard that they have done this to others, anyone want to go to my lawyer’s with me?

Facility has the potential to be a great gym but equipment is not maintained nor kept clean. Half the cardio equipment doesnt work, the floors are filthy, I never see anyone cleaning anything. Although this place is half the price for a family of 3 than the YMCA… you do get what you pay for. Dirty, broken equipment.

Don’t sign up here. They will bill you months after you cancel hoping you don’t try to get the money back and will not comply in getting you your money.

I had my membership for about 18 months before I cancelled for a gym that was open at 4am. I cancelled myself and my hubby in May and discovered in October that I was still getting charged. I contacted the gym and provided to them correspondence I sent to the manager at the time requesting cancellation. The staff was friendly and advised me that during the time I cancelled, new management and new billing systems were in place and it was a common for these mishaps to occur. They confirmed that they cancelled the membership and that I would be refunded for the 5 months of membership dues for myself and my hubby. The problem was that they couldn’t just send through the refund because of the system, and they would have to have the owner determine what means I would be refunded. A week and a half later, staff is telling me that they have yet to meet or speak to the owner because he cancels his meetings with them. I had told them I had no problems with being patient for a few days, but it’s nearly 2 weeks and the conversation of how I am to be refunded has not even happened.
I never had a problem with the facility itself other than for half of the time I was a member, there was no locker room. I honestly don’t know if that has changed. The location was convenient for me, and if my schedule changed I would have considered switching back, but after this there is no way I would rejoin.

Tldr: Terrible communication. Gym makes a lot of promises that don’t hold true. Shitty rubber coated weights are melting to everything so you have to peel them off of shit to use them. General manager needs to be fired this shit has been ongoing for way too long. No maintenance on the machines. Lots of them missing pins or are broken. Time to start looking elsewhere.
I’ve been coming to this gym for about a year and the communication here is terrible. Seriously mac gym what’s going on? I can’t get a straight reply from anybody. I’ve talked to more than half the staff and left 4 emails now with no reply.
First we were promised before and after pictures from the 12 week challenge that we paid money to enter. That ended in april. Still nothing after multiple attempts to get a hold of them.
At the same time the contest ended you ran a referral promotion. I referred 3 people that signed up. No word of receiving the $ 50 per person that was promised. It’s been 2 months now.
For a year the gym has been saying they are going to get rid of the melting weights and replace them. I’m still trying to pry plates off the ground to use them.
This gym went under new ownership and I thought we would see improvements, but all I’m seeing is your customers being lied to. No one is willing to take responsibility for anything. Just a bunch of finger pointing and misderiction. Miron Yermakovich seems to be the only person that cares at this gym. SMH mac gym.
