Though John’s specializes in steaks & seafood, we have something for everyone’s palate; including a vegetarian entrée, pan roasted garlic chicken, homemade soups & salad dressings & nightly specials.

Happy Hour is 4:30 6:30 & we feature a ½ price wine by the glass every night. John’s Grill is the perfect venue for friends & family getting together to celebrate a special event over a delicious meal!

John’s Grill is also available for private parties and special events.

History

Established in 2005.

We opened John’s Grill on Labor Day weekend in 2005 in the heart of Old Town Mukilteo.

We wanted our family run restaurant to serve the surrounding communities delicious dinners with everything made in house. John butchers all of our steaks and fillets all of our fish specials himself. We also pride ourselves on all homemade salad dressings, chicken, veal and shellfish stocks which all contribute to our flavorful fare. Over the 10 years we have been open, our crab cake appetizer has become one of our signature dishes, along with our white and dark chocolate mousse dessert. We love our regular customers and always look forward to meeting new ones!

Meet the Business Owner

John A.

Business Owner

As Chef and owner of John’s Grill, Mukilteo’s finest steak and seafood restaurant, John Alden began working in restaurants in Marin County, California as a teenager. Following high school, John went on to earn his Hotel Restaurant Management degree and worked in many fine dining establishments in downtown San Francisco.

In the summer of 1989, John and his wife, Lisa, moved to Mukilteo to start a family. John was hired as Executive Sous Chef and opened Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue. John completed his tenure with Schwartz Brothers Restaurants at Daniel’s Broiler, Leschi before leaving to do outside sales in the service industry.

After twelve years in sales, Alden knew it was time to fulfill his long time dream and open his own restaurant where he could share his love and passion for food with the Mukilteo and Everett Communities. As a 23-year resident of Mukilteo, John knew his hometown needed an upscale, classic steak and seafood restaurant.
