This place is astounding. We went for dinner where the place seemed oddly quiet. The waitress was very attentive, even waiting around the corner and watching without being pushy while we figured out what we wanted to order. We ordered a variety of items and each came out quickly, fresh and delicious. This place is authentic and number one sushi in Mukilteo!

I come here at least once a month. I love sushi, and Sam does it right! I almost always get the Jo Sushi combination as it’s my favorite.

Visiting from the Boston area, we really wanted good sushi. Decided to try Hanami and could not have been more pleased! Service was quick, everyone was super friendly, and the sushi was amazing. Better than any place we go in Massachusetts! Their version of the California roll had imitation crab that was finely chopped and mixed with mayo… delicious. Wasn’t sure if I would like the Alaska roll with its fried salmon skin but I scarfed that down! Mukilteo roll and the Rainbow roll were exceptional as well. Everything so fresh and vibrant. Had some shrimp tempura too that was fantastic. Best tempura batter I’ve ever had. My new favorite sushi place in Washington state!

LOVEHANAMISUSHI! Delicious, FRESH sushi expertly created with each order getting the same amount of attention as the next. During rush hour lunch on Friday, it’s just truly amazing watching these guys work as a team to get the best sushi experience possible for each customer. Service is ALWAYS with a big SMILE! Can’t wait to come back!!!

Went in for Udon. Was initially put off by bad service and a high price — close to $ 10, but stayed hoping the food would be good. It was the worst Udon ever. Small bowl, two small bits of chicken and bland flavor. I walked out after tasting the broth. They still took my money though.

Best North-end sushi, generous cuts of very fresh fish. The Jo Sushi combo is a great choice if you’re hungry. Good friendly service.

One of my all time favorite sushi places. More expensive than the average joint, but you see the value in the quantity and quality of the fish! The staff is always super friendly and always remembers I hate tobiko!

The sushi was nicely done and super delicious here! We ordered the rainbow roll and King roll(I forgot the name). They were both good and the portion size was perfect for two people. We also ordered miso soup which was just as tasty! I got a strawberry banana smoothie along with my order too. Mmmm~

Come for lunch, but stay away for dinner! The staff is very small. I’ve been here a couple times with my coworkers for lunch and the food is amazing. At dinner, the poor waitress and sushi chef get so overwhelmed. I went with my husband and it took 15 minutes before we even got our orders taken. I almost left at the 10 minute mark but we decided to wait«just 5 more minutes». After 45 minutes our order hadn’t arrived, we’d only gotten a miso soup, and the waitress NEVER checked up on us. We ended up paying for our sake and just left.

Miso soup was the real deal. Not like the powder taste some places have. I got the salmon poke. It was good if you love salmon like I do! I also got the Seattle roll! Really good! Very nice workers! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it was awesome! My BF got the spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura udon. He said it wasn’t amazing but it was still really good. Definitely going to come back!

Too much mayo used for sushi. It actually made us sick. We didnt finish. Got up and left. I guess we are sushi snobs that have been blessed with really good authentic sushi. Best of luck if trying this place.

Always have a good time here. The women are accommodating to my family, super nice to my kids and the Sushi man always makes the food on point. We order on & off menu items and always is delicious. Yes some of the prices are a little high, but finding good sushi places is hard and this place is consistently good. Mmmmm now I’m hungry for sushi :)

This place is amazing and the chef Sam is one of the best! My kids love it there and that’s big for a sushi place totally worth the money. Every time my family from other stars visit that’s where I take them. I would like to say that I would want to keep this as my little secret but I can’t I want everyone know!!!

Ordered the lemon salmon roll which is not on the menu. It’s a spicy scallop roll topped with tons of salmon. Good thing I had a friend to help me eat it, it would have been too rich for one person. The lemon salmon roll was loosely rolled so it fell apart when I dipped it in soy sauce/wasabi mixture, but it was delicious. The roll was $ 18.95, yikes!

I would call this restaurant a fusion. I really enjoy the Bibimbap, as it is not easy to find good Bibimbap in the Mukilteo area. I think the next nearest decent place is at least a 10 minute drive. I’ve eaten here a tremendous number of times, and I only have good things to say.

Rarely does Unilocal steer me wrong but this place is terrible. From the lack of customer service to their high prices for subpar sushi. I had the spider roll and a spicy tuna roll both where not rolled right and fell apart. The servers never came to check and see if I needed more water or anything. Def will NOT be returning.

A quality little Japanese restaurant in a strip mall along the Mukilteo Speedway. It’s somewhat difficult to find, unless you know where to look! I’ve come here for lunch a couple of times with work colleagues and I’ve gotten the Bento Box each time. It’s a fantastic bargain. You get to choose 2 of 9 options to fill out your Bento. Some of the 9 options I can remember include sushi(half California roll and a couple pieces of sashimi), tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki, bulgogi, and tempura. All 9 choices are standard and popular Asian dishes. These entrees are accompanied by a bowl of miso soup, sticky rice, a potsticker, salad with miso dressing, and some broccoli. All this can be yours for only $ 11.99! Not bad at all. I left feeling very satisfied. My bulgogi was overly salty this go round, but the sushi was phenomenal. My co-worker noted that her tonkatsu was a little dry. I have yet to try the specialty sushi rolls here even though they have a lengthy menu. My co-workers have gotten a few of them and they look decent. They’re a bit pricey when you consider the fact that you’re not in Seattle and that the amount of sushi you get is not enormous. Think Umi/Wasabi Bistro as far as price and serving size go. The service is always pretty good here. The ladies who work lunchtime are always friendly, energetic, and get you what you need when you need it. Hanami is a solid lunch choice if you’re up North. Definitely worth a visit!

Came here looking for good sushi and chicken teriyaki. Ended up having the worst chicken teriyaki I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken was pale, dry, and tasted rotten. Honestly, it had what I would guess to be a saw dust type texture. After two bites of this, I could eat no more. The salad that came with the meal was generous but also tasted very bad. The sushi was ok, but not amazing as the reviews here suggest. When my bill was brought, I asked to have my chicken teriyaki Meal removed from my bill. The servers refused to refund my meal. Also, they left me at my table for 10 minutes while my wife and son waited in the car. This was in the top 5 worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I ended up having to dispute the meal charge with my credit card company. Honestly, if I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for 10 yrs now and plan on continuing to be. Staff is so friendly they even know me when I call in to make my order. They remember my favorite items I usually order and portion size is so ample I can be stuffed with just one order but usually make at least 2 or 3. Some suggestions to try Mountain roll, instead of being wrapped in seaweed its rice/crab/crunchy stuff/scallops/and some other ingredients wrapped in a lettuce leaf. This is a big roll and comes in 2 so a good one to share! My other faves are Stuffed pumpkin: which has salmon, rice and scallops. Alaska roll: friend sal
