The Nock Point

Awesome place. I’ve bought three bows from them now and sent a couple friends there. Always quick to take a look at my bow whenever it’s acting up. Everyone there is very helpful and quick to give tips or help you with your shot. Much better range prices compared to Kenmore too.

These guys are great. I purchased a Diamond Infinite Edge Pro bow from Cabelas. They adjusted it and, when I brought it home, I attempted to draw the bow. It turns out the cams were out of time (the pulleys at the edge of the bow didn’t travel evenly). Even worse, the bow got stuck in the fully-​drawn position.
When I took the bow back to Cabelas, they accused me of dry firing (pulling and releasing the bow string with no arrow), which, I didn’t do. They adjusted it again and I took it home.
When i took the bow in to The Nock Point to try it out on the range, they took one look at it and retuned it. They brought the pull weight from a wimpy weight to 40lbs and got the timing right. They also took me out on the range to show me how to shoot it correctly… all for $ 30! Honestly, I thought I’d be in for at least $ 100 given the quality of service.
Overall, the range is inexpensive and clean and the staff is quite knowledgable. If you’re stuck indoors due to the stereotypical Pacific Northwest winters, the Nock Point is a great place to go!

The first time I walked in it was pretty intimidating, from the location to the staff. I had purchased a Diamond Edge at Cabela’s and though I love my bow, Cabela’s doesn’t fit your bow to you past the draw length. I have brought it in to NP quite a few times now and they’ve always fixed my bow and adjusted it to fit my needs and the way I shoot for free. I know I can trust them and they’ve been nothing but honest and helpful. I think their customer service goes WAY above and beyond. Even the other customers in there are nice and willing to take their own time to help you out. I’m beyond thrilled with how I’m shooting and NP is a big part of that. No matter where I live, I will always make time to go to Nock Point.

I have never received such quality and fantastic customer service from anywhere else. I brought my compound bow in that I got from an online shop, and it was terribly screwed up (timing was off, draw length measured vs setting didn’t match, etc…). They spent two hours on it before the shop closed down. Gave them my number, they called me in the morning. Turns out they spent another hour or so on it and couldn’t figure it out. This isn’t to say they are not knowledgeable, and poor at servicing, there was just something majorly messed up with that bow. They checked everything possible. So when I came to pick up my bow, they had actually switched mine out with one of their demo bows, and transferred all my accessories onto the demo bow. It was the same model/​color and everything, and already tuned to perfection. They would send back my bow to Martin for returns/​service. Then I was sent to the range and they helped me with advice on form, and helped me sight in my bow.
And at the end of it all, they only requested I pay a 15 dollar service fee, and THAT’S IT.
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Will definitely return.

First, @Emily R, I think like all business experiences you may have hit a non-​perfect day. From the sounds of your interaction you have an archery specialty, Kyudo perhaps? that they didn’t have expertise at and certainly a preference for shelfless bows. While that may be the case I have NEVER had an issue at the Nock Point especially with regard to arrows or strings. Yes, I am a hunter and shoot a compound bow and have a different set of archery needs than you is my guess. One of my cams was off a bit and my bow strings were showing some slight fraying or abrasions, so I brought the bow in and the string was off in minutes, onto the wrapping machine and the areas of fray were re-​wrapped and I was back on the range to adjust my sight and back in business. The entire back left side of the store back has bow strings, ready to be fitted and made, so I am not sure why you are claiming there were no bow strings. They have custom built and set my strings over time so not exactly sure where your no string comment is coming from. For arrows, I bought my fletching tool there– Bitzenburger, and when I need arrows in a pinch they have always come through and been able to make up a dozen, with inserts tips, and have them ready when I come in if I call ahead. I repair at home but buy finished arrows from the Nock Point. They have been happy to take in my bow on a walk in basis and make the needed adjustments and tuning without problem and happily do so.
For a specialty archer like yourself, maybe not a good fit, for me I couldn’t be happier with the experiences I have had for the past 5 years at the Nock Point.

So I’m an archer, I shoot about 2 hours per day, everyday. My other archer friends had warned me about the nock point, that they are really bad at making arrows, they lie about their fletchings, the staff is super rude, etc.
It is hard not to go to an archery store as an archer so I went to nock point. Never again.
First of all they have no archery equipment to buy. I wanted to buy a new string, no strings, I wanted to buy thump thump tips for hunting, they have none. They actually needed most basic traditional archery terms explained to them because they have no clue. I even tried to buy arrows and the staff was unable to put tips on them. I’m sorry but you have one job.
They have a few recurve bows, all with shelves, terrible quality and very ugly to look at. When I asked why they don’t have any shelfless bows, the 20 something on a power trip explained to me like I’m 5 that the shelf makes you more accurate. (That is only true if you have terrible form, in which case improve your form, don’t mask it with a shelf)
Shelves on bows are like training wheels, the fact that they only offer that option and lack any other explanation for why tells you everything you need to know about this place.
The nock point is for people who know nothing about archery and aren’t good at it but want to pretend to be.
They don’t carry anything that a real archer needs or would use.
The shelves and wall space are fairly empty other than a few products that an old man would buy because he «thinks» that is what an archer would have.
Hopefully this place goes out of business soon and a real archer can buy it & stick it with items that archers need. Like strings, and tipped arrows, and hunting tips, and bows without shelves, and leather hip quivers.
For now do yourself a favor and don’t bother with these dense people.

I originally visited Nock Point a few years back when my wife wanted to do some long bow archery and see if it would be something she enjoyed. The staff was very helpful in and willing to answer all of her questions. Fast forward a few years and after a couple buddies of mine purchased compound hunting bows from them, I decided to head over and talk with them about purchasing one as well. Bill was more than willing to spend time and explain all the ins and outs of the various bows, accessories, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. As other posters have mentioned, they can be a bit on the high side for product pricing, but you also receive out of this world service which I am happy to pay for.

This is a great place for beginner shooters! All the lanes were filled up by the time we were almost done shooting! The instructors were really funny and helpful. I could have stayed longer but my arm was getting tired and my friend was getting bored. It is a bit repetitive but it’s still fun. I wish the prices were a bit lower though.

Glad I finally made it to this place! As a newbie, I found the instructors are friendly, incredibly informative, and welcoming. They took the time to teach me techniques and bow types, etc. The only reason why I put 4 stars is I’m unsure of the price. Some say $ 35 while others say $ 10/​day. Regardless, I will definitely be going back!

Some tips:
The website said it was $ 35 for equipment + $ 10 for a lane, but we called and they said the price was $ 20 all together for each person. My boyfriend and I paid $ 40 in total for us both for two lanes, equipment, and an all-​day pass. We came on Sunday around 1pm and it wasn’t crowded at all.
We only stayed about 2 hours (our arms couldn’t take it any longer! xD) but we had a great time. The instructor (Chris?) gave us all the tips we needed to get started with a 5-​minute run down. Everyone was nice and kept to themselves mostly. My boyfriend and I shot about 80 – 100 arrows I’d say, which was a lot to us. We could have stayed longer but got hungry and left, it was our first time. We will probably be back once our arms heal lol.
Also ladies, please cut your nails! I came here with long, manicured nails and my index finger nail got cut off by the force of the bowstring on release. Luckily there was no blood but I really wish I had a nail trimmer. Anywho, have fun!

I have been going to the Nock Point since I first got my bow in November of 2014 and have loved the place ever since. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the facility is well ran, free snacks are provided and the lane fee is cheap. Only $ 10 for the whole day plus a $ 1 per target. Totally worth the 25 minute drive.

Me and my wife decided to stop in and try and develop some bow skills. We had no idea what to do and the guy working here was really helpful. He got us set up and gave us some pointers before turning us loose. Overall it was really fun, my wife enjoyed it and said she would go back. If you are a beginner I wouldnt be afraid to stop in and learn something, it is a lot of fun.

Just bought a Hoyt Nitrum from Bill at Noc Point and I must say it was A+ service from start to finish. From initial order to even now just going in to practice shooting it has been excellent service. Bill’s staff is knowledgeable and also seems willing to help. Just went in today to practice and the staff watched and adjusted my draw length without even having to ask. Highly recommended!

First time here. All the staff were nice and helpful. They go through the safety procedures before you start. Family-​friendly.

The knock point archery place is a top notch, well maintained, full service archery hub for avid archers of all ages. I went there with my 10 yo son for the first time, and we both had a great dad and son time. The guys working there are just so attentive and nice that you would feel like you’ve been coming there for ever. We will be going back there once a week to have fun in such great place.

A great archery range! The staff is very nice and they have a large selection of bows to rent or buy. You are able to shoot arrows and feel safe all at the same time! They do a great job teaching you the basics of archery. You can come here if you have been shooting for years or you have nothing to do. It is also great for kids.

I’ve always been intrigued by archery. So, finally I looked up archery places and Nock Point came up with great reviews.
I’ve gone in now a couple of times, each time with a few friends, and each time, we had a blast!
The staff are extremely knowledgeable. Being new to the sport, the staff guided us with a basic lesson and continued to give us tips during our visit.
They are super friendly. Me, and my friends, are definitely going to be repeat customers.

Came out here with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We sort of just walked in, no experience whatsoever, and tried our hand at some archery.
Being completely clueless, we were lucky to have staff members guide us through an abbreviated, basic lesson so we could just have fun and shoot for an hour or two.
Everyone was really nice. I would love to comeback and try again! But maybe not very often– since it gets kinda expensive without a membership (and I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to archery yet). It was fun while it lasted though :)

After 2 failed trips to Cabellas for a bow string and a tip from Zarah, I came here for a string for my 60″ practice bow. I showed them the photo I had on my phone and the info from the bow and they fixed me up with the proper size string and instructions. I am amazed how much I’ve forgotten about archery in 40 years: P
If you need anything for a bow, an indoor range, tips or advice, this is the place to go!
Beware!!! If you try to use the map from Unilocal it will take you to downtown Mountlake Terrace which is several miles from here.

Ok. Yeah. So 30 minutes into trying out a little archery for the first time, I bought a bow, however, Saturdays are not the days I would recommend on coming here. It was just a little crowded.
After waiting about 15 to get help, I found myself getting outfitted with a recurve bow, arrows, and the necessary accoutrement for my fingers and arms. I was then escorted to the next available open lane to fire away at target 5 yards away… then 10.
Next thing you know, I’m trying out a compound bow. After that, I’m picking out my own recurve bow that I can use for target shooting… another toy.
More importantly after the purchase, I have a membership to the range. The price of the membership is awesome because I get a key to the range for after hours on top of all sorts of other perks.
This place appealed to me because it’s cheaper than shooting guns and I don’t have to blast my eardrums just to get a nice grouping.
As I mentioned, Saturdays are really crowded, so if you want to get less hurried attention, Sundays might be your better bet.
