Teriyaki sauce had a very strange flavor previously(and accurately) described as orange juice and corn syrup, and 3 of the 4 of us that ate there got sick. I am not exactly in agreement with all these people calling it fantastic teriyaki. I guess there is always the possibility that they are masochists without tastebuds and enjoy the experience of shooting stomach pains. I however do not.

It’s unbelievable how much people don’t appreciate good, not to mention healthy food. It seems like most of the people here don’t understand what’s truly on their plate. This restaurant’s chicken is drier than other places because they seem to remove ALL the fat from the chicken. As such, it retains less moisture so it’s MUCH healthier than your typical teriyaki. As for the sauce, I asked and they seem to put orange in their sauce that is great for the skin and the taste grows on you. At first, it may seem strange, but it’s a wonderful taste once you keep eating it. The sushi and tempura is phenomenal. It’s very unfortunate that this place doesn’t get the hype it deserves not just because of the location, but because of the Unilocal reviewers who doesn’t even know the first thing about cooking dare to criticize food.

The teriyaki sauce here tastes like corn syrup mixed with orange juice. The salad is just fine, the gyoza are greasy and good. There are better places in Lynnwood and in Mountlake Terrace, so I don’t think I’ll go back to this place again.

I’m shocked that this place has more than 1 star. I was, to say the least, starving! I was so excited for teriyaki I ended up eating my salad with my fingers on the way home, which was about 10 pieces of ripped soggy lettuce, but I ate it anyway excited for my spicy chicken and white rice. When I got home I ripped open my bag, ready for my meal! What I got was very pale looking chicken bits and a huge pile of fried rice. Exactly what I didn’t want. I tried to eat it but the chicken was rubber and I didn’t even touch the fried rice. I thought about just settling for it because it was right in front of me but since I lived so close I thought I would just go back and ask my for a refund, since my appetite had disappeared. I walked in and apologized: «I’m so sorry but this just isn’t very good and I didn’t order this, I would like a refund please.» She rolled her eyes and looked back to the kitchen where her husband was and yelled for him. I said I was also frustrated since I was very hungry but was disappointed. Her husband appeared from the kitchen so I again repeated that it wasn’t very good and I would like a refund. Long story short, they refused to give me my measly $ 11.99 back. This man continued to tell me it was my fault for ordering this and that, that was the meal he made and that’s it! Needless to say the restaurant was completely empty. I told them that they are in the customer service industry, and when a customer is unhappy their job is to do what they can to make the customer happy. I work in a restaurant myself, and just last night someone was unhappy with their meal, so I gave it to them on the house. I told them that hoping they would be able to understand that I’m in the same business they are, but nothing helped. I tried for about another minute to talk nicely with them but ended up leaving my meal and walking out without anything. They obviously needed the 12 $ more than I did. Disappointment is an understatement. I have never wasted my time writing a Unilocal review but this had crossed the line. Do not waste your time with this place, there are plenty of other teriyaki restaurants that are much more deserving of your business than this one.

Delicious and fast sushi! Family owned and operated. A staple restaurants for me in mountlake terrace/south lynnwood. We always get the dragon roll, shrimp crunch roll, and edemame!

I hate to write this since it’s a going for low hanging fruit, but the teriyaki is just ok… The chicken teriyaki was a bit over cooked and a bit lacking in flavor. The chicken wings were surprisingly tasty though. They have two cold water dispensers inside that consistently dispense cold water.

I wanted to mention this Teriyaki and Sushi place because it’s so demure you can miss it in the blink of an eye. I needed to get myself dinner, I was on my way home from a long day of cleaning and since my other half was out of town, I thought why not try it? I was so glad I did. Their food is very fresh and the prices are reasonable. I forgot to post this when I went there but I’m going there tonight to get some Teriyaki so I will post on that as well!

This place changed hands recently and the reaaly good food they used to serve is gone. I used to visit every few weeks but the last time I was there my food was horrible even my dogs looked at the meat funny. It tasted tainted. The sald was wilted but the rice was fine. So I will give them a few more months and try them again to give them the benifit of the doubt. My advise is to try them at your own risk.

What a great little find. They say some of the best & simplest things come in small packages. This little hole in the wall was one of those. Entering the restaurant, you don’t expect much. You order from the counter, pay, then take a seat. Water & tea are self service. I was welcomed with a friendly smile and the lady taking my order was extremely patient with me, while I was standing there trying to determine what to pick. My visit for lunch, I ordered the Spicy Mongolian Beef. When it came out, it wasn’t all dolled up like you’d get in a more established eatery, but the first bite popped and screamed the chef knew what he was doing. The flavors were spicy and fresh and I would definitely visit this place again if I’m ever in the area. Next time, I’ll have to try the sushi. Hopefully others will try this hotspot and put their own reviews of other dishes. Overview: Atmosphere: 3⁄5 Service: 3.5÷5 Food: 5⁄5

This is my new favorite cheap lunch spot. I tried several years ago(2008-ish) and was not impressed but decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised. The owners speak little English which adds to the ambiance. The offerings include teriyaki, tempura, sushi, some sashimi. The prices are modest along side the big plates. I always order the Miso soup which is great. The fried chicken dish has a bit of curry in it making it an amazing, simple, unique meal if you love fried chicken as I do. The store seems empty often which is a shame as this restaurant deserves a large following. It is not in the best location but a good teriyaki place should always have that oft the beaten path feel and this place certainly does.

I tried it first time this afternoon. Overall I give it 4.5 out of 5. I had its Bendo C(California roll, Teriyaki chicken, dumpling, salads, and fried tempura vegi, and a free can pop) for slightly over $ 10 bucks. Everything is good, i specially love the California rolls and tempura vegi, but their Teriyaki sauce tastes a little bit funny — not in a good way. I think they put some sour plum sauce or honey in it, just a little bit weird to me, and the chicken is a little bit dry. The place is owned by a nice korean couples; if you live around, you know Lynnwood have lots of Japanese or Korean restaurants owned by Koreans. But most of the Teriyaki places don’t serve sushi. It’s Friday 12:30pm, but one two people, including me, were eating there. If you want to have a quiet lunch with nice foods, I’d recommend OK Teriyaki.

People deserve to know about this place, as do the the people who own and operate OK Wok Teriyaki deserve to be known. Very fresh sushi rolls, wonderful potstickers, very good teriyaki all paired with nice people that offer good service and excellent food. The restaurant doesn’t look like much but the food is really really good. Please stop there. It’s worth it.

I don’t know what these other people are talking about. If you want the ultimate cuisine go sit in some stuffy sushi bar in downtown seattle where you can feel self important and spend a fortune. I’ve been going to OK Teriyaki for years. The atmosphere is friendly, the owners are great and always have a smile. I think the portions are huge. And if you eat at the restaurant they will often times bring you a free bowl of edimame, especially if you’re a repeat customer. I often have the salmon teriyaki as well as tuna and salmon sashimi. If you’re expecting fine cuisine, go somewhere else, that’s not what this is. But if you want great food at a great price with a friendly smile go here.

This place is seriously not as bad as the reviews here say. My husband and I live right down the street and tried the combo # 4. It was really good. It comes with 4 different rolls(California, Las Vegas, Seattle and Spider roll). The Las Vegas and Seattle Rolls were seriously delicious. Also about 5 different types of nigiri that seemed pretty fresh to me and tasted great. My husband had chicken teriyaki there one time and said it was not so great, so maybe its just the sushi thats good. Either way, we had a really nice dinner and were stuffed by the end of the meal.

I was really hoping this place was good since it was one block from my condo and it would be perfect to walk down the street for good teriyaki. Oh how utterly disappointed I was when I took my first bite. The food here is very subpar, the sauce must be made of 90% sugar and teriyaki sauce. This has been by far the worst teriyaki i have ever eaten, and to make matters worse the portions were smaller than any teriyaki place I have ever been. But once you have your first taste I guess thats not such a bad thing since you can only stomach so much at a time before you want to stop. But hey, if you spent $ 7 for this, you might as well eat it all. The customer service is terrible too, the whole family who owns the place were literally having dinner at one of the tables and they made it seem I was inconveniencing them for getting up to take my order wtf? The guy was still chewing his rice when he was talking to me. pshhhh I now drive 2 miles to another teriyaki place instead of walking 30 secs down the street. what a shame, if only that place was decent, they would have all my money.

I’m very upset this place went in where Marado used to be(RIP sweet potato tempura sushi rolls) but I gave it a chance anyways. It’s pretty good and I’ll be going back regularly(which may have something to do with it’s ideal location). There is a serious mash-up of cuisines here… a bit of Japanese, a bit of Chinese, and bit of Korean. There is a sushi menu that isn’t exotic but covers all the basics and then some. They have teriyaki everything. I mean everything. Teriyaki meatballs, teriyaki prawns, teriyaki beef and pork and tofu and chicken and spicy chicken. I love tamago and I order it at every sushi establishment I go to and I’ve seen a LOT of tamago in my day. This place, hands down, makes the prettiest tamago ever. It’s perfect looking. A little sweet for my tastes, but still absolutely delicious. My 2 year old will down 3 orders of it and ask for more. This is the only sushi establishment I’ve ever been to(okay, besides Umi) that I do not use soy sauce to dip my rolls in. The sushi stands alone and I think it’s because they use really quality ingredients. I am a vegetarian so I cannot speak on the quality of their meat products but I was shocked at how good my order was. I half expected it to be a fluke, but they’ve been consistently good every trip back. Good for kids, groups, and very casual dining(I go in my pajamas). edited to add 3÷27÷08: okay I went back again and the food was pathetic and lackluster. I knew it was coming. :(Changing my 3 star review to 2. My son still packs away three orders of their tamago and one of inarisushi, but I will traverse to Blue C as much as possible unless I’m super lazy and want something close.
