Whisman Park

This is a nice park near Mountain View companies, schools, apartments and eateries. It has tennis courts, a baseball field and open areas where dogs can run without a leash. You would often see runners, bikers, picnickers and people exercising during thought out the day. I enjoy my two mile walks thought this park in the afternoons. There is a trail with great scenery that leads you to Shoreline Park.

i only discovered this park when i had to take a pit stop while running along stevens creek trail in mountain view. there’s actually a sign where the trail crosses the park that says «restrooms» which was super helpful.
if you follow the paved trail to the far end of the park, there is a small building with separate men’s and women’s restrooms. i can’t comment on the men’s room, but the women’s room has separate toilet stalls, toilet paper, and running water. no soap or paper towels, but not a big deal considering the fact that i was just going to continue with my run afterward.
this park is quite large with lots of grassy areas, suitable for a picnic, throwing the ball around, or just relaxing with nature. there’s also tennis courts and a baseball field available. if i lived closer, i would definitely visit this park more frequently.

What’s not to like about this park. There’s plenty of BBQ areas, open space, baseball field, tennis courts, plenty of parking, and it provides easy access to Stevens creek trail. It’s safe, and a very comfortable place to have a party, hang out with the family, or just spend some alone time. I believe it’s also dog friendly.

Smaller neighborhood park, off the Hetch Hetchy trail. Its not far from the Google Quad campus, making it a nice lunchtime jogging destination. A little shy on amenities, but not unexpected for a small park. Tennis courts are also a nice addition, and usually available for a walk-​on practice session. 7 – 11 is nearby if you forgot your water bottle or need a quick snack.

Great little park that I always run through since it connects the Hetch Hetchy trail to the Steven’s Creek Trail — they have tennis courts, a baseball field and a great field for kid’s soccer. People bring their dogs out here all the time and often let them off leash since it is a pretty big and open space.

Great neighborhood park.

Street or school parking lot parking.
Bathroom — not too clean but usable
Plenty of benches but you need to reserve early.
Playground appropriate for kids if you plan to host a kids party.
Some shady trees available if it’s a hot day.

beautiful park! lush, green grass, picnic tables, grills, baseball diamond and great playground.
when i’m down in mountain view, the dogs and i like to go here and play catch. i’ve noticed they now have doo-​doo bags for your doggie’s don’t-don’ts.

I used to love this park before I learned they «treat» it w/​pesticides — awful!

Whisman park is a nice little park with walking paths, a baseball area and tennis courts. The courts are for public use and maintained well. There are public restrooms and parking for about 25 cars. The best thing that I like about the park is there is a small path that connects to the stevens creeks trail. A good jog of about 2.0 miles would lead you to shoreline park and bay trail.

Nice green park nestled in an apartment lined neighborhood.
I have gone to Whisman Park several times to watch my daughter’s soccer games.
Nice paved paths for walking, biking, roller blading or scootering.
There is also a softball/​baseball field.
No much shade area at the soccer or baseball fields.
No poop bags for dogs so if you take your dog out there with you make sure you take your own dukie bag.

I’m afraid the previous reviewer is mistaken. Whisman Park is actually the name of a city park in Mountain View adjacent to Whisman School on Easy Street (North of Middlefield Road). The facility on Kent Drive is not a public park, most likely a private area for tenants of the apartment complex. Follow this link for a map of this and other Mountain View city parks:

This small park is in the middle of the Whisman Station housiing ddevelopment. There’s a pleasant fountain and the grass is usually unoccupied.
