Specialties
I teach small fermentation workshops in Mountain View. Traditional foods prepared through fermentation taste delicious, improve your diet and gut health, save money and much more. My most popular classes are kombucha; cultured vegetables; sourdough bread using wild yeast; and ginger beer. You can also hire me to teach small groups in your home for a kombucha party. It’s the new tea party.
History
Established in 2014.
My journey to fermentation instructor began when I went plastic-free in 2011. I’m not a huge consumer, so I generated the most trash in the kitchen. To cut down on plastic waste there, I began shopping more at the farmer’s market, filling up on staples in the bulk sections of grocery stores and making everything scratch. In 2014, I launched the blog The Zero-Waste Chef and began teaching neighbors how to ferment food. The word spread and I opened my classes to the public.
